@@erwaldox At the moment, there isn't any mod like that for GTA IV. It's necessary to do what Fastman92 Limit Adjuster/Open Limit Adjuster does in GTA SA (maybe). But the Fusion Fix team has been working hard on GTA IV, and we'll probably have a fix soon!
@@robertesaum3 even with Limit Adjusters the grass in GTA SA still has pretty poor draw distance, it's an engine limitation which cant't be fixed and i'm afraid it's the same thing with the GTA IV issue
@@ult1matum If I’m not mistaken, I remember reading a comment from junior_djjr (from MixMods) talking about the draw distance of the game's vegetation (trees, grass, etc.), suggesting that it might be possible to reduce the pop-ins of trees/grass. But I don’t quite remember if he mentioned any progress on this or if it’s really possible to fix.

The city is known as a concrete jungle and the story is more gritty so things won’t be as vibrant naturally due to the style. Also the grass under a highway probably wouldn’t be growing very much anyway

Kinda. San Andreas we can't seem to increase the draw distance, but for the most part, the grass that is in the game spawns fine. In IV, grass can break even with default settings in some places.
Ive read in a gta forum that for the least amount of z fighting you need to put draw distance at 42 and detail at 20. Thats what i use all the time. These are console values increased by x2 which seem to be the second most stable after original console settings 21 / 10. Please make a video addressing the z-fighting in gta 4
thing is it 100% *could* be fixed but the negative is it requires the game's source code which obviously isn't legally obtainable at all and likely never will be given Take Two's stance on modding as well as Rockstar's skewed views on what's piracy and what isn't which also pertains to modding because as of now Rockstar is one of 2 major companies that claim modding is piracy with the 2nd being Capcom

So for the best experience you should actually crank everything yet keep those 2 bars at 25 and 31, what a lame implementation. I mean, it took them over 10 years to completelly patch the game on PC, but increasing the memory pools should not be hard for them.
It's a shame this game is poorly optimized like this I don't know how Rockstar didn't bother fixing this game, like how much would it cost a big company like Rockstar to fix their own game's optimization? Rockstar decided to remaster GTA 5, GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas 2 times but GTA 4 doesn't even get one
@@ericdxfan511 GTA 4 is different I always thought the reason why the defective editions were that bad because the original games themselves were buggy af too their original coding were broken too one small change and it all falls apart
There are limitadjuster mods for san andreas and no for IV which is actually more open and modificable rather than 20 years old game I just don't get it why it is that way ...
Considering that both IV and V were broken on PC at launch, I'd be shocked if VI wasn't also a mess on PC at release. GTAV on PC still has some pretty major bugs with some missions and cutscenes, which the console versions never had, but most people don't notice since statistically most GTA players just free roam or play Online.

Considering the fact that Rockstar focused on their console ports and just ported their products with minimal support on PC, the higher settings... basically weren't meant to be used! People managed to address such configuration issues without modding the core of the game - showing the indifference of Rockstar towards their already marketed products, such issues would be easy to fix, especially if you get the people who coded the original game to do that. Though in any case the RE editions made by the community were the ultimate solution for GTA fans pre-V. And of course Rockstar took down RE-III and RE-VC, coz they're arrogant assholes.
@@hawken796 thats literally on purpose dude, the PC version is superior in every way. They know that so they nerf it intentionally to get everyone with FOMO on consoles.

Every second in liberty city, a grass patch de-spawns. Together we can stop this 💪

R* downgraded grass in some patch of RDR2. Grass became lower ingame, but higher in cutscenes. Compare grass density on console release and last patch

Fusion fix has completely eliminated Z fighting, there isn’t any need to cover it.

It does not *require* the source code, at least not for the entire game. Simply reversing the grass related functions is enough.
More like they were just test for next game (since from gta 3 lol)

Statistically speaking GTA4 was made before the average CoD player's parents had hit puberty yet.
