The Loreal Hicolor highlights(Magenta) worked great on my virgin bundles from Aliqueen. I used 40 developer though and aluminum foil and rinsed out in 30 minutes and had a nice bright color.

Loreal hicolor is ONLY for virgin hair. If the hair has any color on it, it won't turn red
I FORGOT TO SAY THIS BUT!!
If you decide to put bleach on the hair after dying it with the L'Oreal HiLights, it brightens pretty fast!
Towel dry the dyed hair then apply bleach with 30V Developer
The hair will elevate a level brighter every 5 minutes !
DO NOT LEAVE THE BLEACH ON FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES.
Sophiology how long you leave the bleach on before washing it and using the box dye the last one
Do you have to put a rinse after bleaching? I want mines just a tad brighter but not sure if I would need a rinse

I used the hi lights for dark hair only and it dyed my hair super well! I've been using it for years now and it's still my fave.

HI-Color Hilights "magenta" actually worked reaalllyy well for me on my Kendra's Boutique hair
The best results I've gotten with the L'Oréal hicolor is to when I get the hair I completely cover the bundles with developer let that sit over night then use the hicolor. You're not bleaching your hair so it's less harsh

Ok so with the loreal highlight dye you have to boost it yourself! You have to put the hair in aluminum foil just like how you would do if you were bleaching the hair first! I also put a blow dryer to the foil and it comes out bright asl. Trust me the same thing happened to me! You like have to have heat!

Try putting the hair in foil after!! It definitely helps it take the dye quicker! I used only the magenta dye and only left it in for an hour or so to get a bomb red/burgundy!

I know I’m a year late but thank you sooooo much. I had the same exact issue so I used your method of bleaching after the hicolor was put on and the color came out beautifully!!! I’m sure you aren’t the only UA-camr that had this problem but I’m really grateful that you were honest about it. I never subscribe to channels but your truthfulness has gained you a new subbie!!! I left my hicolor on for 9 hours smh

Okay I'm glad I came across this video, because as you can kinda see in my picture my hair is suppose to be an natural looking ginger red but I listened to the lady at Sally's unwanted recommendation and she told me to get that loreal hi color because it would give me an even brighter version of what I had.... boy was she wrong I was left with a dark tint I wasn't even sure if it did anything this just showed me I'm not the only one who had this problem.
Bluntly Blake those women at Sally's don't care 🤷🏽♀️ box dyes are the best for getting g the exact color but they're not as healthy on the hair. Butttt glad I could relate with you
I don't think the color took the first time because the hair is color treated . I've used it on natural hair and weave and it's lifted pretty well

Garnier makes a dye that gets that color and lasts as well if anyone is interested. idk the exact name, but it comes out the same color as the box if you leave it on for a couple of hours

I just dyed a unit using L'Oréal highlight, I would suggest using red instead of magenta mine turned out great! And I let it sit for way longer than 2 hours!

I hate how frontals look but at the same time I LOVE having a middle, and side part etc. Although, I like closures you but have be selective with what part you want tho. I had this same issue with the product and I did it again with a lot more developer and got the color without bleach
would you recommend just mixing the bleach, color, and developer all together then applying? I ironically bought thus loreal hair color today
I dyed my hair using the Loreal hi color highlights in magenta only and it came out exactly how I wanted it. Not a bright red but not burgundy either.
