I've had bright red (a different one) but my hair also grows 1-2 inches a month, so the upkeep is a nightmare and demipermanent won't absorb. Aaaand that's my hair. Also doubles as a scrub brush.

Yes high lifts lift color do but a high lift isnt a regular permanent hair color, think of a high lift having bleach in the formula that helps lift the hair, a regular hair dye doesn’t do it so I still stand with what I said “ color doesn’t lift color “ also there are different levels of hair color, depending on ur hair color some colors will deposit nicely without having to bleach! I wouldn’t recommend a hi lift on color hair already unless it’s bleach already Bc it can be stubborn to lift, unless u bleach it or color remove in order to use a hi lift, I’m still leaning so correct if I’m wrong I don’t know everything 🥶

I think it's more about having uncoloured hair than brown hair specifically? I mean I'm a natural brunette but I haven't seen my natural colour in years, not because it's uglier than blonde or other colours but because there are so many other colours available that I'd rather choose from, you know what I mean??? I don't personally like brown hair but it's more in a "if you have the entire rainbow, why wouldn't you choose someone more shocking than brown?" kind of way 😛 But I feel the same about natural blondes lol, I just don't understand how people can settle in a natural hair colour when they can have a rainbow on their hair 😂
@@FinnickH I think that's what's brad getting at, there's nothing wrong with your natural hair colour but his job is dying people's hair and since there are soooo many options in colour variations he just prefers when you alter your hair, even if it's just the tiniest bit. It gives it dimension and it shows you alter your physique to fit yourself as best as possible. Same goes with make up and such, we all know there's nothing wrong with not wearing any, yet a lot of people do wear it often and express themselves through it. Brad appreciates that.
Same! Im a stylist too, and while yes some people look good going from dark to blonde a lot of people look good or better going from light to dark. Personally i think darker hair looks healthier and definitely shinier. It Just picks up the light better than blonde does imho.

Chevon rose Right omg. I bleached my hair in the past to get to a nice light blonde and it killed my hair, also just didn’t look good with my skin tone. When I died my hair chocolate brown I absolutely loved it and everyone else did too! And after that my hair is now always super shiny, smooth, and silky. The blonde ruined my hair and the brown healed it. Brown hair is one of the most beautiful hair colors ever. I’ve always preferred brunettes over blondes tbh lol. It’s just so sad that brad hates on brunettes so much. It really irritates me if I’m being honest
Madeline Gommier I’ve done the same thing before. Blonde isn’t for everyone and bleach is SO damaging! I love brunettes!! I think it’s such a naturally beautiful color. There are so many different shades and it almost always looks healthy. I got super irritated about brad being rude about brunettes too.. lately it’s been getting on my nerves because he makes it seem like we’re only beautiful if we have blonde hair or highlights.

Being blonde isn’t fake. I guess me being naturally blonde makes me extremely fake and makes me have a ugly un natural hair color
The hi color brand is marketed for dark hair to brighten it. I got mine at Sally’s and I asked if I should get lightener then using that dye and the sales associate said it had lightener in it with the dye.
That was false. There is no product sold at Sally's with lightener and color combination. It has more ammonia to produce a higher lift, but still wont lift artificial color. Scruples makes a lightening/ toning in one highlight system but is only sold to professionals, and I've never seen a vivid red produced even from that. In most instances hair will need to be pre lightened if previously colored at all. Doesn't matter if it was a year ago, the color is still there.

And a couple of years ago, I dyed my hair dark brown/black and I absolutely loved it (I’m a natural blonde) but my hair is now going a natural really light brown at the roots and I’m LIVING for it!!!

I'm blonde as well but I could never dye my hair a dark colour because I think my eyebrows would look funny being so much lighter. Plus when it grows out light roots look terrible imo and I would hate having to maintain it.

I turned my hair red from a light brown, I decided after that to do it professionally because not only did it get everywhere and stained my sink, it looked like a crime scene when I washed it out. After 3 months I got it redone to more of my natural color and the stylist made the red more tame (love your channel, I just discovered it a little bit ago!)

I used to have brown/auburn hair and didn’t like it, but the natural red lightened as I’ve gotten older so I’ve come to love it.

I had strawberry blonde as a baby/toddler then it changed to a rich auburn for most of my life lightening to golden in the sun... then I hit high school and it became this super dark brown that I wasn’t used to.. so I started to color it funn colors and it’s currently a bright red like Ariel. Going to add more orange for Halloween though when it fades a little.
