I feel like they only run those promotions on days there’s predicted low sales & they are playing mind games just to keep people online without actually paying them for the effort. If you have a promo, and you sit trying to get rides, you should qualify for the promotion anyway
I agree! I signed up to work a shift in St Pete during dinner time due to peak pay and…….nothing! No offers, nada! Because of my AR and I cherry pick! It’s not worth it! All the guys who have multiple accounts working for the bosses were grabbing orders up right and left I’m sure!
Agree as doordash is running $2 incentive for the next 3 hours, I have both uber and doordash open and have yet to receive a single offer from either for the last half an hour.
On DD here n my market,,the only time we have PeakPay is when ALL of the restaurants are closed except maybe 3 or 4 & it’s we hrs n the early morning…3-5:00am…Now that I think about it,,I haven’t seen ANY lately…for at least a month!!!
I do DoorDash as well and I never rush out for a couple extra dollars. I'm on a small town as it is and I know how many people rush out for peak pay. If I go out after that I usually make more money because by the time it's over a majority of the dashers have went home then I'm steady and consistent with orders.
To me, it seems like when I accept the promotions, I either don't get anything come through during those hours, or they are all less than a dollar a mile with said included bonus.. makes me think I would've been better off not opting in!
I get my Uber quests every week and every weekend. I did 30 rides on Friday and Saturday for an extra $165. We have a 50 ride or 60 ride quest twice a week. It’s great to get extra pay for what you’re gonna do anyway. The Savannah Georgia market is great. $25-$30/hr…very consistent with seemingly infinite possibilities and almost continuous surge pay.
Yea is a hit or miss for instance this week i did the bonus i had a lot rides i was surprised because last bonus when I signed up i didn’t get any rides what so ever it was the worst. Also this time I went to a different location I don’t know if that was the reason why i got rides but is true they never sent rides when they give bonus
I get rides they just adjust my rides so I don't get anything extra..I'll have a 15$ scheduled ride and when it comes up I'll have a 5$ zone bonus and a 30% turbo going but once I drop my person off I'll only get 15 or 16$..and when I look my schedule ride upfront pay will be 10 or 11 instead of 15 it was when I took it..I don't even drive when they have that going anymore lmao..I have pics also lol
That ride challenge is counted towards earning commitment. Which I believe most drivers don’t know . At the end we think we are making that money as bonus but Lyft can take whatever they want under external fees then split that money 70/30 also put that bonus to over pass 70% to make it look like you made 87% . Trust David risher because he is a scumbag
So if, as you just admitted, these promotions bring out all the drivers and make the company more money... then why would they stop doing those promotions? Does that make any sense?
So you built a UA-cam encouraging people to go out and do the gig apps and now complain when people take your advice and do it. This is why I don't do youtube. You hurt yourself to promote and try to help others.
I'm so sick of people like you saying it isn't a real job, many people who need to make ends meet do these jobs because they can't get a job that's harder, I got into a car accident and can't stand on my feet for 4-8 hours a day, I wake up every morning and treat This job just like I would treat any job, I wake up get ready for the day and start at 8 am, I dont like to be late and I make sure I set my schedule as a " Real JOB" would have me do. I serve my town as I would any other job, I deliver food and groceries. Why is it that so many people say this now?! It makes all of us who are going out Everyday and do the best we can look like we are not trying. I've worked hard my whole life in Every "Real" job I have ever had, and I work the same doing DoorDash. That doesn't mean just like any employee that we can't say how we feel about our pay through these companies. They could definitely use some improvements to their platforms and how they pay us. The pay is too low per delivery. Your lame and I hope you never have to be put in a situation where you have no choice and you have to figure something else out that doesn't require you asking the government for money. I chose DoorDash instead of taking free money.

Both of you got it right. It isn't about drivers making more money (despite the wording), it is about the middle man (them) making more money.
They prey on the ignorant. You know? The ones that think they have to take every offer.

I agree. I door dash. And when ever there is a peak pay. I hardly get anything. If I do. It’s not even a 5$ payout. Meaning.
I do DoorDash as well and I never rush out for a couple extra dollars. I'm on a small town as it is and I know how many people rush out for peak pay. You are sooo right!! Lol

Only time i try for bonuses is when I am on full time grind and ill prolly hit it organically anyways.
I don't even focus on the bonus pay hours. I notice working the slow hours with no bonus pay. I notice my pay is higher with multi apps
I multi app my ass off and make average $25. These apps don’t pay enough to work just one.
Sounds like an awesome win loose to me.

I went out earlier around noon and didn’t get any orders for 2 hours I was like wtf I guess I’ll have to see what’s up with dinner time
Smart man they full of it all bull crape
Exactly brother
PREACH!!!!

A bogus bonus?
Idk if it wasn't for surge and bonus pay I would have made $24 last night, not $220. Learn how to manipulate uber.

All the bonuses do is crash the market much like a Democrat endorsement for a market sector
Or you go out and try to find the rides. It's obvious that your not looking too hard for rides if u have time to sit and complain.
Smh
You wouldn’t mind if you actually secured the trips.😂 Keep crying.
You could get a real job

Says the person who looks through dirt to find gold🤣
A lot of us have w-2s, we just use these apps to supplement our income because they’re cutting hours and jobs in the w-2 industry too.
