Uber has forgotten their role. They are a hub service aka the middleman. Drivers are CONTRACTORS, which means they should stop with all the b.s. games to get contractors to accept non bid offers, blind offers, and high cost offers.
Thanks for your support #melvin_techz Uber is treating us very badly. Thanks for being here to provide support for us. We all drivers love you and respect you sir.
The exact same happened to me! It turned out to be 17 miles for $3.50. I messaged the customer it will take a while because of the long drive … I delivered to a million dollar mansion at 10:30pm and she added 6$ tip 😂😂😂. In the end it turned out to be 17 miles for 10$ in the end! Totally fucked up!!!
I have been an Uber driver since 2015. Started Lyft back then as well but sadly got deactivated from them in 2021. Yes, up until around 2017/2018 (I forgot when the change occurred), drivers could not see either mileage or pay ahead of time. That is a glitch. Also, excessively canceling rides after accepting them led to deactivation. Thankfully we do not live in that time anymore What happened with your UberEats order is just a glitch. However, in the Nashville market, there was a time with UberEats where, if you rejected 3 out of every 10 orders, they would hide the pay until you got back up to that 70% UberEats acceptance rate. Problem with that is almost every Uber driver in Nashville did both rides and Eats. We basically just quit taking UberEats orders and took rides instead until that crap went away.
I've heard about this but have never seen this myself. If it happens to me I wouldn't accept orders like this and if it starts happening regularly I would just turn the app off.
@@Moore.Driven -Uber is just the hub aka the middleman, and they take too many liberties with the contractors/drivers! Seems that we might need to remind them of their role, and the role we play. No contractor should be expected to A) accept a no bid offer (what is falsely referred to as an upfront tip), or B) accept a blind offer where the cost to do the job (mileage, and time), and not being presented with the bid. Uber please tell me what contractor accepts jobs like that? We have been delegated to be contractors to allow you to be just a hub service.
I wouldn’t have either, however In my case, I was on a different app and I was convinced I saw “Uber Delivery $9.92 “ popping up. That’s when I thought it could be ok! Only later I realized that it said 3.92 instead of 9.92. It’s exactly as you say, Uber is just the middle man- they try their hardest to keep the most bucks in their own pocket!
Hi brother I just started doordash base in wellington new Zealand just asking when I started to file a tax for my income? Is it ones a year? Or before year ends?
This happens in New York City a lot. It usually happens when you decline a lot of orders. So they just start sending you a time limit of how long it takes to get to the restaurant but that's it doesn't explain how far is going or how much you getting paid until you're done.
I have not received the mystery order but I have started getting “Trip Radar”. These are always crap orders. I don’t know why they come across but if you don’t accept it doesn’t count against your acceptance %.
I haven't ever seen an uber eats order like that. Although all my UberX rides do show like that. I think it's because I'm uber pro (45%) and not uber gold (75%).
It's a glitch the first time I saw it in my marketplace a couple years ago any driver that accepted the order got an extra $20 the next day for accepting the order they don't give you the $20 extra now but that glitch still happens from time to time and no one should accept an order that is not showing you the pay or the mileage
I’ve been doing these gigs for 2 months in Texas showing me the pay I would get and then I visited my family in Killeen and decided to turn the app on.. ALl but the Uber eats delivery had the same method. Just the miles and no price. I accepted them and they were all 🗑️
Been seeing this no information acceptance screen for almost 2 years now, it very rarely shows up and I always decline, I don’t think there’s anything to worry about, it’s to get the trash delivered period
When I started to do ubereats deliveries in 2016, everything was a surprise… you only knew where was the pickup location but you didn’t know the drop off location. That year I killed my car with double the miles I usually drive per year. The only positive thing was that they were paying $2 per mile. I don’t think they’re going back to that model, they will loose a lot of drivers.
Drivers we need to take stances. When their system or algorithm or whatever it is tries to dictate what u do, do it slow and deliberate. Make personal stops and just be a shit driver since they are constantly trying to be shit services to the people who do the work. Buck em
Guys are you really surprised? DD and UE are not transparent with their drivers. If they were honest and transparent then why do they not disclose the amount of the tip every time they send an order? Guys it's time to stop letting these companies take advantage of you and manipulate you to the fullest extent. It's time to open up your own business, get a job, or go back to school and learn a skill or a trade and stop wasting time with this foolishness. This job is for border hoppers with no papers and people that have no career, profession, or skill set.
It's not a glitch. I think poop orders are shown this way. I've seen this randomly since 2021. Never take a mystery Uber order

As contractors why would we take on a job w/o knowing what factors go into the job, and what the bid is to do the job?!

Good to know. Uber is a bitch.
I've heard about this but have never seen this myself. If it happens to me I wouldn't accept orders like this and if it starts happening regularly I would just turn the app off.
Thanks for the input!
Right! No contractor is going to accept a blind job, where they don't know their cost, or the customer bid.
I would never in a million years accept this
Same, I had to for science this time though😂😂

That's been happening every so often for a couple of years now. They pop up after I've declined multiple offers.
Thank you for the insight
Hi brother I just started doordash base in wellington new Zealand just asking when I started to file a tax for my income? Is it ones a year? Or before year ends?
Those have been out for a few years in the Atlanta area but I have never taken one. Maybe have received 6 or 7 of them total.
This happens in New York City a lot. It usually happens when you decline a lot of orders. So they just start sending you a time limit of how long it takes to get to the restaurant but that's it doesn't explain how far is going or how much you getting paid until you're done.
These apps keep screwing the drivers over and over and you guys keep saying "Thank you sir may I have another?"😆
That’s crazy!! I’m over here just north of Seattle and never seen anything like that!!
They're pulling this same crap on the ride side as well. Just randomly.
Yes I had the same thing happen about 2 weeks ago. And I’m in Arizona
I have not received the mystery order but I have started getting “Trip Radar”. These are always crap orders. I don’t know why they come across but if you don’t accept it doesn’t count against your acceptance %.
Good to know. That's 1st time i saw that today as well.
if they do that once per day per driver they save a lot of money because most people would be curious and take it
5:39 no I’m in Seattle haven’t seen it yet. 😮
cash grab before gig jobs are regulated
I haven't ever seen an uber eats order like that. Although all my UberX rides do show like that. I think it's because I'm uber pro (45%) and not uber gold (75%).
I see those once in a very brief while. I just decline those offers, and the next offer is normal.
nye here. package work. doesn't tell u .. I never do it
F thaaat instant decline I don’t chase hourly cash flow I chase profit 💯
Several months ago my app went like that just offers no money got like 3 or 4 orders like that then it went back to normal
Now in that city I just do Uber eats and now stay away from ride share in that city
Are you using CarPlay? Sometimes mine has a glitch and only shows distance to the restaurant
It's a glitch the first time I saw it in my marketplace a couple years ago any driver that accepted the order got an extra $20 the next day for accepting the order they don't give you the $20 extra now but that glitch still happens from time to time and no one should accept an order that is not showing you the pay or the mileage
Agreed We are contractors, and no contractor is going to accept a job w/o knowing what their cost (mileage, time), and bid (offer) are.

D E C L I N E D !!

I call them for that - and when that happen they said its a bug

maybe it was a glitch
I haven’t accepted an Uber Eats order in 8 months, it’s been so bad here.
Simple answer? It's getting rejected.
I said good day, good day
Just decline if you see that again
Drivers we need to take stances. When their system or algorithm or whatever it is tries to dictate what u do, do it slow and deliberate. Make personal stops and just be a shit driver since they are constantly trying to be shit services to the people who do the work. Buck em
UberEATS? More like UberCHEATS!
Nice!
Glitch
Don't take it if you don't know mileage or pay, rule of thumb.
I think it’s just a glitch. I’ve gotten maybe one or two in the last year and I’ve seen it happen to others on Reddit but it’s pretty rare
Thanks for the info👍

Decline. Simple.

I get them all time....they hit or miss....sometimes they crazy good...sometimes they super trash
Mind manipulation, stop
