      @@LeafMeAlonePlants do u have or have u seen the "old lady cactus". When I saw it reminded me of Yoda 😆 , told myself the same thing n now I hav 4 to plant on the weekend among alot of new plants. The person I purchased from also had the "old man cactus" but I had already spent to much. 🙄 now im adding the desert area to my yard. These nopal type with furry looking white hair, the r weird looking, never expected to find that type.

      V. T. Haha I love them! I have an old man and a bucket of old ladies (what a weird scentance to type out) I will say though one of my least favorite activities is planting cacti so I’m wishing you luck this weekend 😂

      V. T. Hahah I was going to film one of them this weekend and then I thought to myself “ I don’t think anyone one even likes these besides me” 😂 well guess I was wrong. Yikes 6 more lol I repotted my one lonely Madagascar palm this weekend and I was over it by the end, so you’re def a better plant parent than me lol

    Is it normal for a piece to fall off every now and then?
    Everytime I find a piece on the floor it freaks me out but doesn't happen everyday or anything

    • @LeafMeAlonePlants
      @LeafMeAlonePlants  3 роки тому +1

      Im not sure if its normal lol but this happens to mine too! I used to freak out at first the cool thing is though I usually just pop it into the top of the pot and it seems to do just fine rooting up on its own again !

    Where do you live, if you dont mind me asking? Not sure mine would thrive outside in NJ summers. It's a steady 100 degrees here this summer.

    is Rhipsalis fast grower? how long you grow to get this size?

    • @LeafMeAlonePlants
      @LeafMeAlonePlants  3 роки тому +2

      I bought this plant already quite mature, but with that said I find rhipsalis in general to be very fast growers for me and its one of the reasons I love them!

  • @carrieanne5415
    @carrieanne5415 2 роки тому

    The smooth one is rhipsalis baccifera the one with spines is rhipsalis subsp horrida. There that made sense lol

  • @carrieanne5415
    @carrieanne5415 2 роки тому +1

    It is a rhipsalis baccifera subsp. horrida, subspecies is why it has the spines. "horrida" In other words, the smooth one is just a rhipsalis baccifera. The other is the same but subsp. horrida. I hope that made sense lol

    • @Dwynfal
      @Dwynfal 4 місяці тому

      I think the "hairy" one is Rhipsalis pilocarpa. Rhipsalis baccifera ssp horrida is much hairier. They do look similar, the easiest way to tell them apart is pilocarpa has red berries whilst bacc ssp horrida has greenish-white translucent berries.

  • @Yoliplanting

    I think that plant is either Rhipsalis puniceodiscus or Rhipsalis Hoelleri
