Another great video Iain, well said about spinning/fly it's all about fishing to the conditions which is what sets you apart from 99% of other youtubers, they refuse to pick up a spinning rod as if they'll catch leprosy from it and it's shown in how few fish they catch compared to you.
Another great video Iain. Always enjoyed fishing the floating devon, as long as its a good bottom and not too snaggy. Some of the takes on it were brilliant! Also a lot easier on the arms than a flying C! Tight lines 😊
Yes definitely a better year. Slowed down a little with that warmer spell but should pick up again next week when it gets colder. Thanks for watching again 👍
Iain what a fantastic day you have had and another excellent video. Your knowledge of the river is exceptional. Great to see a Silver one. There must be another Silver one waiting for you. Tight lines from AUS
Well fished, an afternoon well spent. All about fishing the conditions and knowing the water, spinning will never be as rewarding as the fly but on a river of that size it gets the results. Haven’t seen that set up for spinning before looks very affective. All we need now is somebody to design a net that you can carry on your back and release one handed!! Does such a thing exist?? Tight lines👍 enjoyed seeing your new companion, she looks like great fun!!
@paulwatson2712 thanks, yes you have to fish to the conditions, especially on a river of that size. I think you can get a net that flips out but for trout. She's going to be a great dog, just having an issue with her retrieving. She keeps dropping the dummy or other things before she gets back to me. It's like she loses interest in it. Just needs a bit more work that's all. Thanks for watching again 👍
Nice fishin we still got no rain of any amount ya can walk across most of the rivers its bad here...We switched to sea bass for something to do its not the same lol

Thanks, we definitely need to fish to the conditions. It's about catching fish for me. 🤣 yeah some don't seem keen to pick one up.

Thanks for watching again. Definitely easier on the arms and the back. It seems to be my back that's gets it now.
You didn't forget your net this time... Lovely to see so much success off the Tay this year.
