No one will change my mind on this but Zao is one of the single strongest ships in this game. If there are few DDs and no CV. It has the firepower to take out entire flanks without showing itself at all. But if it gets spotted, it's a goner. Unlike it's Black counterpart, Zao needs to be a super large DD. Its all map positioning and patience. That amount of firepower needs to be held back somehow and it's held back greatly. For me, I look at the enemy team when the game starts and figure if I'm going to have a good game or not.
