    >>Pie Crust
    2½ cups all-purpose flour
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into cubes
    ¼ to ½ cup cold water
    2 tablespoon granulated sugar
    >>Filling
    1¾ cups evaporated milk
    3 pieces raw eggs
    1 piece egg, white separated from the yolk
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1 cup granulated sugar

    grabe ang galing mo kuya...ang simple pa lagi ng procedure mo sa paglu2to ang dali sundan..kso iba prin pag ikaw gumawa ang ganda ganda ng kinakalabasan..bkit ung ginawa kong brazo de mercedes..ang pangit hehehe..di bale try ko nlng ulit...gawa nmn ako nito egg pie..parng ang dali2 lang pag ikaw gumawa kay nakaka inganyo gayahin...more power...mwaahh

    Thanks a lot. My eldest daughter's favorite when we were in Asia. Same with the past recipe Taho. I will prepare this coming weekend to remind her Honkong and the Philippines. I'm sure she wil be very happy. Salamat Panlasangpinoy.

    In the US we would call it a custard pie and its actually very good. Its rich and sweet. I think his instructions were clear enough that I could follow them and I don't speak Filipino.

    Salamat po ... may natutunan ako. Pag may meeting sa bahay at least may choices ako kung ano ang lulutuin ko. Pero maganda sana pag may measurements para tama ang templada. Can you please include the measurements? I'm sure mas masaya ang interested people to learn.

    @clamydia ang eggwhites kapag may impurities hindi hindi talaga magra-rise..
    dapat dry yung bowl n paglalagyan ng eggwhite at dry din dpat yung whisk..

    Ingredients:
    Pie Crust

    @DianeHee either there's something wrong with your oven or you're using it incorrectly. does your oven have a grill function? if the top part is burnt while the inside is uncooked, it's probably because the heat is coming from the heating element (hot rods on the oven's ceiling). that's for grilling meat. so direkta yung init doon sa pagkain, imbis na galing sa ilalim ng oven. don't use that for baking. turn it off, and use gas. also, invest in an oven thermometer.

    Same here.. I followed the 15 min and 40 min procedure but still malambot pa rin ung filling..kailangan Lang po ba I-extend yung time sa oven?tnx..

    I baked egg pie po today, I followed every step and procedure, after 40 mins po, yung Egg Pie ko watery pa rin pa-tanggal ko from oven, pero creamy sya, natural lng po ba un o may mali ako? titigas din po ba un after ko palamigin?

      maybe you can use foil to cover edges and then bake it again

      bake it longer but place an empty cake pan or try on the rack above the eggpie to prevent it from burning the crust..
