In the US we would call it a custard pie and its actually very good. Its rich and sweet. I think his instructions were clear enough that I could follow them and I don't speak Filipino.

@DianeHee either there's something wrong with your oven or you're using it incorrectly. does your oven have a grill function? if the top part is burnt while the inside is uncooked, it's probably because the heat is coming from the heating element (hot rods on the oven's ceiling). that's for grilling meat. so direkta yung init doon sa pagkain, imbis na galing sa ilalim ng oven. don't use that for baking. turn it off, and use gas. also, invest in an oven thermometer.

Same here.. I followed the 15 min and 40 min procedure but still malambot pa rin ung filling..kailangan Lang po ba I-extend yung time sa oven?tnx..

maybe you can use foil to cover edges and then bake it again
bake it longer but place an empty cake pan or try on the rack above the eggpie to prevent it from burning the crust..
