Nina Arianda first turned heads in her Tony-nominated performance as ditzy showgirl Billie Dawn in the Broadway revival of "Born Yesterday" and is now playing Vanda, a mysterious aspiring actress in David Ives' erotically charged "Venus in Fur". Broadway's newest darling stopped by Show People to dish with host Paul Wontorek about growing up Ukrainian, her mellifluous name and learning about "Les Miserables" by playing with paper dolls. The actress also discussed her obsession with "Downton Abbey", revealed that Woody Allen checked her out online before meeting with her (which led to her big screen role in the Oscar-nommed "Midnight in Paris") and admitted that she'll do anything to be in the world of theater. She is a terrific actress.....after seeing her over two seasons of Goliath.
She is simply luminous! What a lovely and talented lady!
Thank you for posting! The video wasn't working on Broadway.com.
I love her! When I saw her in Born Yesterday I knew a star was born :)
Agreed regarding her superior acting talent. She "owns" the screen any time she appears on it in Goliath. The scene of her meeting her birth mother? What passes between these two actresses, the unspoken part that was nonetheless communicated? Wow!
After watching the 3rd season of Goliath, and watching her steal every scene she's in, I finally had to find out more about her. Awesome actress.
@@goopah season 4 is even better, she absolutely stole the whole show this last season.
Ok, lets see her be the next legend, she's so freaking awesome, talented and AMAZING! haha.
I think it's kind of crazy and amazing that Christopher Plummer ended up presenting her with her Tony Awards. That's so awesome. I wonder if Paul had anything to do with that. ;)
Wonderful!
SHES PRETTY
