a sad thing is you can make 5 brilliant moves and the rest is only book/best moves, but you'll never get 100% accuracy lol

If the opponent plays badly enough you can get 100% accuracy
Once my opponent resigned after the first 2 moves and it was 100 accuracy for each one
As a 950, I would love to play such a player

A brilliant move is based on the depth of the move. Like the engine of course sees Bf5 it threats mate and threats the queen and he has no defense so it's easy. But, a brilliant move is more like "ok my queen is attacked let's move it to h4...no to g7 it feels better" BOOM BRILLIANT MOVE because this scumbag engine says that 37 moves later it's better for the endgame than Qh4

@@MonkeyDIvan imo bobby's content is way more interesting and enjoyable to the average person than most GMs or large streamers (ie. hikaru, botez sisters). he definitely doesn't have to be the most insane player to be really well recognized!

Knight c6 definitely prevents mate but you lose your queen, you can't take back or you lose your rook, your bishop is hanging, your other bishop isn't hanging neccessarily but it's guarded by a rook which is under attack, it's crazy how much material is up even when black blocks the checkmate.

But what I meant is the style of play, the fact that he could have taken a lot of free material for several turns but he went all in for the attack

Ight correct me on this one If I'm wrong but at 2:30 after the bishop took f5 he could move the black queen to h5 so she could protect the square e8, therefore he saved him self from a checkmate.
If Black Qh5 then he can still do Qd8 check and if black Queen blocks then white Queen takes black Queen and checkmate
I think black should’ve done bishop e7 that way he’s preventing the Queen from doing check and protecting the bishop from the pawn

My best chess game was 99.7 accuracy. My opponent resigned on move 6 and I was 500 rated above him.
My best was a 98.3, but the game went on for a while and ended in a long endgame, was pretty surprised I didn't mess it up

nc6 defends qd8 and lets you get compensation for the lost rook since you left your own bishop hanging
Yeah but nc6 followed by bxg4 means you're now compensating for a whole Queen
Instead of losing both bishop and rook, you lose a queen.

there is a defense, if blacks dark bishop takes c3 with check, the black queen can go to a4, but the position is completely winning for white
No? If the queen goes to a4 it gets taken by the white queen, you can't go to a4 after Qd8 because it's check... The only way to stop mate as black is to sack the queen with Nd7 or prepare some other defence of the d7/d8 squares... Either way you're losing a lot of material and should probably take the quick death

@@kylel3784 Qh5 doesn't stop mate because after whites Qd8, black had two options. Either Kd7 which blocks the queen's protection and is Mate in 1. Or queen blocks by Qe8, which is taken by the Knight. Black can't take back and can't run away so after Kc7 and Qe8 the mate was delayed but still occurs

But reading my comment yeah it sounds like Qe8 is checkmate, I think I was trying to express that if the opponent tries to block with the queen it's attacked by multiple pieces and mate is inevitable so it's not even worth it

I think you still would've been in a winning position, but couldn't black do bishop d7 after bishop f5? That way, it blocks the queen and is protected by the knight.
theres no block since if you do you just lose a queen
and black is still hanging a rook and bishop and a queen

As an 1800 blitz player, I would've taken the bishop 100%, wouldn't have seen that with my 3 minutes.
Have you learned all of the checkmating patterns yet? Leaning them really helps spot ideas like this.
As a 1900 puzzle solver, even when i am 1300 bullet, i wouldve found it in bullet blitz or rapid
