I think Martin is programmed to see M2 anywhere. That pawn move almost seemed like an accidental checkmate. Like he was just putting a pawn in the center and accidentally checkmated
Close. Martin can see all mate in 1. Any higher there's a likelihood Martin misses the mate. And a lot of the other blunders are also random aside from the opening book which is pretty interesting to say the least (and won't work because of the non-standard opening position)
@@NJM_77Marton is actually a strong player he just makes blunders for his kids to feel better about winning hes probably 2900 rated but he likes to be modest he's a nice guy
1:56 idk why but there is something very subtly humorous in this moment. Like you play only one pawn and it's your only hope so you go like 'aaaand the pawn is gone' XD
How would that even work? It probably doesn't make sense if the only legal move is to capture en passant, as you'd need a really contrived starting position to make that work. But if the rule is just that every capture must be en passant, then I guess that could be doable.
Poor Martin he's so bad at chess that we have to take virtually all the pieces off the board to give him any sort of chance! 😅 I want to add we should support guys like IWC and join his membership!
Video idea: how many kings to beat martin? (Somehow if you do it the kings are able to be taken and capture without check) also i still remember when you had like 500 subs, now you have 10,000, i feel like im watching someone grow up, nice job on 10k subs!
knight and bishop may actually be a little easier than 2 knights or 2 bishops. The reason for this is because with a bishop, you can target knights without having to risk a trade, and with a knight, you can target the queen and bishops without risking a trade. With only knights or only bishops, you always had one weakness where you had to just hope he blundered those pieces. With one of each, you have different strategies available. And a bonus is that knight and bishop ARE enough to checkmate a lone king, although whether or not you know how is the other question as its one of the trickiest ones to do. Although against martin he'd probably make it a lot easier.
2:42 It's telling that you describe you having a queen as being "up a queen", when Martin has a queen as well, in addition to all the pieces that you don't have.
Hey iwantcheckmate. 250 rated player here. Upon analysis at 1:20. I would have moved the pawn up hoping to promote the pawn to a queen. The checkmate would have been unexpected. Hope this clarifies things! Also I have to say I really like your content, your voice is really relaxing. It's a nice refresher compared to most other content.
Sorry! I usually edit out the gaps between moves since the bot will sit and ‘think’ for some time. I must have edited out my own move down and Martin’s Qg4+.
I really enjoyed this video, but I would love to see what (if anything) the post-game analysis has to say about a game like this. I believe that you may have mentioned that it doesn't work for custom games, but I don't recall. I really am looking forward to the piece combinations and live viewer games though! Thank you for consistently putting out content that makes it look like you have been on youtube for years!

next video, drawing with martin with 1 king
I actually tried doing this by getting a draw without enough material to checkmate, it was hundreds of games and I couldn't do it.
