What else would you like to see me model? ⇨ Blender Secrets courses and book: www.blendersecrets.org ⇨ 35-minute video on Patreon: www.patreon.com/posts/making-devil-one-113797842
I definitely feel like I learned a lot from this, but is there a way to do the swirl placement with geometry nodes? Or a slightly less destructive workflow? Either way, learned a lot, really appreciate your stuff!!!
just found your channel and very grateful that i did 😎 was wondering how you get those nice different colours for each object. is it perhaps an add-on. thank you
I guess the point was to show many tools, but mirroring, flipping normals and then rotating again made me unreasonably angry xD I was shouting at the screen: "Just rotate it 180 degrees!" :D
How does the plane snap to the faces of the icosphere? You appear to have Snap to Faces selected but pressing Cntl while translating the hierarchy to the icosphere doesn’t produce the snapping effect your video shows. What am I missing?
You could also start out sketching the curve in grease pencil and then convert that to a curve. This allows for the use of the grease pencil sculpting mode to shape the line.

Fun Factoid: Blender originally shipped with a primative of a devil fruit, but Suzanne ate it.
Brilliant, this exercise gives a ton of tips and tricks to create so many objects. We can't imagine how many keys are hidden in this kind of course.
Long time work as this channel & Thank you so much ❤
i'm sorry dog but the fruit isn't just the letter "S" repeating itself, it's elevated not just a ornamental looking S slapped on top

My man casually dropping an gem of a tutorial, so many small insights to speed up any workflow. Great tutorial!!
All of these videos you have described are in the Blender Secret PDF document. How do you update them? Thank you
The book is updated as needed, and if a video is very outdated, I just make a new topic to replace it.
No geometry nodes?
I'm curious why exactly this is called a Devil Fruit.
You’ll need to read / watch One Piece I guess :-)
Quick and to the point tutorial packed with so many tips and tricks. Love it! Hopefully You'll make more videos like this ;)
