I thought this was going to be some Google Earth / AI quick fix but it's just a classic modeling tutorial. Nice.
Same, I'm glad this actually taught some useful skills instead of just shoving a picture into AI and learning nothing
To save time on opening the Calculator, you can type "5*24" in the end frame and it'll do the math for you. Learning this has made so many things faster.
You can also change the timeline to show seconds instead of frames by hitting ctrl + T
Blender is so versatile, I love it.
Always so much to learn, but no better teacher to learn from. Thank you.
Lots of interesting techniques in this one. I liked the knife-cut hint there to reduce the geometry.
Amazing! Very nice tutorial, I did not know that!
12:45 You can also press ctrl+t in the Timeline to switch between time and frames. So you won't need to calculate it 👍
Also, any number input box in Blender will do math for you (* for multiply, ** for exponent, / for division, parentheses are valid) thanks to Python.
Turn on _Preferences->Input->Keyboard->Default to Advanced Numeric Input._ I don't know why they made that an option that's off by default.🤷
This is absolutely brilliant. Thank you.
loving these long form tutorials of yours !! :D
Wooow so much input and awesome tutorial as always!!! Thank you!!!!❤🎉
It's worth noting that you can import multiple fspy files to get multiple angles for more accurate models, but in order to get real dimensional accuracy, you need ground shots to establish relative distance between buildings, and not estimate based on apparent size. A singular image may lead to a "tiny people in the hand" optical illusion. Thanks for the tutorial.
Amazing. Thank you for sharing.
Looks cool!
Great video and lot's of good techniques to know
Excellent tutorial
very handy, interesting and useful video. Easy to follow. Thank´s a lot.
Thanks Jan, nice demo!
WOW! BIG THNKS!
fantastic 👍🏼
That was dope.
Amazing ❤🎉
Really good man. Thanks.
Great work flow many thanks
Muy interesante, la verdad.
Yo alucino con éste hombre.
Jan, eres alucinante!
🤯 great!
Very good 👍
Thank you so much
OpenAI Sora entered the chat.
Nice video and tutorial!
Very well made!
What if you'd like to add some (realistic) rain maybe?
It would be nice if you can make a tutorial for height fog since there's no tutorials of it
I... That is amazing...
Thanks You sir
It's a very cool effect, but it does require a lot more work to look realistic.
The final shot for example only works because of the heavy fog, otherwise it would've been obvious there is no depth in the background.
I would've loved to see how you would've gone about that.
GOLD
Thanks. This explains much better the use of f=spy. But I can't for the life of me understand how to set up vanishing points for a photo simply taken from the ground level.
awesome
whats the music in the background?
I may be wrong but wouldn't it be easier to loop cut those building indents instead of messing with booleans?
Sure, you can do it many ways. I just want to show some methods maybe people don't know yet.
Didn't know you can go up that tower for free! Will do next Tokyo visit. Shibuya Sky, by comparison is expensive and not all that exciting...
Yep you can go in the South tower, lots of people do. The whole top floor is just for viewing. Have fun!
alt + lmb is not working to select all edges (Blender 4) !
shift, right mouse button etc. is also not working! select edge loop is not working (only edge rings).
i don´t have "3 button mouse" selected in input preferences.
whats wrong here?!
I also once has this problem but I cant remember the fix. I think its not the version tho...
Can you please post the direct links to FSpy?
Yes, you can find them in the Description of the video.
That default light in the middle bothers me so much 😭
💚
👍
You might have an intro with a few sentences about what fSpy is
You never cease to amaze me!
so there's no free ebook on your site, there's a *Sample* of your book if i hand over my email address, and that doesn't even cover the topic in this video. So i would actually have to buy your book to follow alone with this tutorial
This topic is from the full ebook, yes. And there is a free 30 page book as well.
