Definitely something I like, ill be doing that for sure. That's a head turner, and the best part about it is you could look at it for hours. The crystal shapes can't be duplicated so that's one of a kind... the colour schemes are on point, well done!
I have been experimenting with crystal effects for a few months. The best way I have found is a white or silver basecoat. Put crystal juice(urea) on it in the shade(less windy area = bigger crystal growth) Spray light black like you did. Wet rag with tons of water to wipe off. Candy over final result.
@@PaintsByTrigger No the sliver has class different both are very good. Here is one for you painted my Camry work car black candy over black jams the works rushed it 8 days. Did this south of Houston in old friends shop. Turned out Ok have to sand and drop coat. On the way home to Austin left front hub cap came off hit the diver side door along with the rear door. Have some more work to do. Will wait until after my infusion before I go back to fix it. Will send you some pictures when finished.
@@PaintsByTrigger It is a work of art. No matter how hard someone tries to paint something just like that they will not be able to. No two will ever be the same. Great job brother.
They both look really nice Trigger I think the black one looks best but they are both mint, you got some very nice effects with your Trigger juice😁😂👍John UK
Black looks killer honestly.. I liked how in the sunlight u almost couldn't even see it from certain angles then it just pops up on you.. I like it!! 👍
Thank you Nick, yea in the sun it actually stands out like crazy but cute since reason the phones don't pick up the flakes or the candy look. It looks amazing. Got lucky on that one 🤣
I mean not perfect I guess but I don’t think you messed it up that bad. Still looks really cool! The silver base added a cool effect. Looks like that paint job needs to be on a “murder” van.
I tell you one thing I learned, it will not work over base coat. I tied in on the silver base and what a nightmare. Has to be over clear coat. So it was definitely a leaning experience. I think I'll nail it next time. Thank you for letting me know about it. I got the formula for you Incase you want to give it a go 😉🫡
@@PaintsByTrigger thank you for using my suggestion. I thought it was really cool! Really interesting that it has to be put onto clear coat. I definitely think you’ll nail it next time.
I use some Trigger Juice 🥤 combination of plant fertilizer, liquid wetting agent , distilled water and a few more ingredients. Microwaved to a certain temperature then strained.
AHHH TRIGGERMAN, I WENT BACK AND WATCH YOUR VIDEO, AGAIN, I THINK I AM BECOMING A TRIGGERMAN PAINT ATTACK,WHEN I GO TO SLEEP I SMELL PAINT,WHAT'S COMING OVER ME,I CAN'T TAKE IT,I UNSUBSCRIBE, AND FIND MYSELF SUBSCRIBING AGAIN AND AGAIN ❤❤
Never seen anything like that before, whats in that Trigger Juice man does it pickle up the paint, the black one looked cool certain angles you couldnt see it.
Just thinking about the solution, you are using. Some people are using Urea Prill which is Nitrogen fertilizer looks like it is around 26% nitrogen. So, we are talking about salt here. This is how you end up with the crystal effect on the surface. You spray a color over it allow it to dry sand off the high edges and you are left with the crystal surface. Then add candy, clear coat whatever. My question is what happens to the salt left on the surface, how well will it hold up, adhere to the surface? If you wash off all the crystal, then you have nothing remaining for the effect you were looking for. See where I am going with this????? I know nothing about this, just asking?
What up Douglas, to be honest it beats the hell out of me 🤣 But I did see a gentleman say that he works at a facility where they load this stuff with some type of front end loader and after a few years of doing so the metal scooper has started to rust out on the front end loader. So you could be right I don't think these things have been around long enough to see what actually happens that does sound like a recipe for corrosion to me. Good question
@@PaintsByTrigger I agree, thinking it could end up in a real rusty mess. There again I never used this stuff and really do not know anything about it. I really like the effect you got on the red fender well, both are perfect.
I have been using urea with ammonia with a tiny bit of dish soap mix for nearly 20 years to create this effect. 70% urea to 20-30% ammonia with just a few drops of soap. Then mix this with room temp water to form a saturated solution. The faster it dries the smaller, tighter the pattern will grow but if left in the shade it dries out slower leaving larger looser formations which in my opinion look better. Different methods of application result in various outcomes best is to just pour it all over, don't wipe. If you do wipe do it in a swirl it looks less streaky. I still love the way these look, that and marbles and crazers.
My bosses father built it in 1956 they use to paint industrial equipment in there, from Uhaul to school busses and some big scissor lifts, tow trucks all of that type of stuff. Man when I go do side work at shops with normal sized spray booths I feel like I'm in a mini booth compared to this.
@@PaintsByTrigger that’s cool! Why did your boss switch to cars? Your booth looks bigger than mine lol I think mine is 35 by 15 or something like that. Not big enough for the 30’ offshores because it’s 30 with a 2.5 foot pad off the back for motors. Next week I have to do bottom paint on a 21’ delta.
Very nice trigger. You did really good on the fender on the right as well. Like you said it’s just an experiment but I think a little more time and you can nail the silver one too. The video I saw in 2019 used a sanding sponge or 2000 grit. I hope you saw the same thing I did it would make this trick super cheap. Apparently the crystals don’t form too well when it’s humid out.
Yes I was instructed to do it much different but I only had my lunch break to mess with this stuff so was doing the best I could in an hour 🤣 I'll perfect it. Sooner or later

Yeah I have every Sata model they ever made, not so much the limited editions but every model.
