Thank you for these helpful tips. I played through career mode myself and want to do the challenges now.
I want to add some things to your tip collection:
1. you asked if you run over the items if you don't do a ground check. - No you don't, because they get removed once you hop on your mower. the consequence is that you don't get money for the ground check.
2. you said that you can spot the litter contracts, because they will get you much less money than the normal contracts. - that's true and you can spot them by looking at the map or the bottom where your 5 contracts are and you will see a trash can there. Same goes for the striping contracts. there is a little striping indicator on the contract.
3. the litter contracts have a time limit because you get more extra money the faster you collect the trash. it is not much compared to a normal contract but it can give you 80% extra of a litter contract.
4. If your grass is very high you maybe think that it is a good idea to cut it two times. Once with the highest height of your mower and once with the right height for the contract. Don't do that it will waste you a lot of time. Just don't cut at full speed or cut 50% or less.
And for last i have a question: Can you explain me why it is better to go in with your trimmer at the start than doing it at the end to get the last percentages?
I haven't done any experiments on that, so my response is mostly personal preference. The only time I can say its definitely better is when you have objects like in the Expert Challenges, where hitting them will instantly fail you. Getting those edged before running the mower gives you a wide berth to avoid the collisions. On that same note, the majority of your fines and penalties, especially in those Challenges, come from killing flowers and collisions, and trying to trim last leaves the stress of penalties/fines for the end. I prefer getting the more difficult stuff out of the way first. That way, if you screw up the hard parts, you aren't at the end of a run where it could cost you 20-30 minutes.
Other than that, it was personal preference for me. Trimming on a full lawn gave me good visualization of the edges to see missed grass, but allowed me to move more quickly when I trimmed. I tried saving the edging for the end a few times, but it always made me feel stressed. The amount of grass around the edges after mowing is inconsistent and it made me feel like I needed to constantly stop and start or use the ProView. if you use the trimmer first, you can have a methodical approach to all of the edges and be sure you haven't left much, if any, grass behind. And you can then slightly overlap with the mower even if you did leave grass behind. You also, then, don't need to slow down with the mower around obstacles and edges, as the trimmer leaves a clearly defined edge to follow that is far away from the penalty and collision objects.
I can see the argument that edging last might be better, but I tried it a few times and it wasn't a good method for me.
@@lagwalkthroughs Thanks for the detailed explanation. I tried it yesterday and i found it way easier than trimming after mowing and your points make total sense.
I just didn´t consider it until now because after the ground check the light over the mower was so big i couldn´t ignore it and started mowing instantly.

Personally, I would take a $10,000 loan out and buy the Scag Patriot, it’s nice and fast and easy to control, you could also get a roller to make the stripes for the stripe contracts, just a suggestion!

Was not sure if it was worth buying, now it’s just a bit more worth to buy, for relaxing after work and playing the career mode with not much thinking AND if I wanted something to challenge myself I could try the challenge. Nice video and thanks for the info.
Can't find trimmer even though i take it with me. Anyone knows why?

That sounds like a glitch or a controller issue. Hard to say without being able to see it myself
how do i reverse the mower i bought i cant seem to reverse what am i doing wrong
I have a mission where it says that i both need an eco cutter and a mulcher deck? How is this possible, i can only see mulher plugs but no decks so i cant continue the game
I apologize, but the Eco stuff was all added after I made my Walkthroughs, so I'm not familiar with it to have an answer for you.
Any tips on how to get back up the stairs from the back garden at Rowley manor? I'm using the the starting mulcher mower and it just will not go up that top step no matter what I do.
I don't think you can go up the stairs. You need to go back up using the ramps on either side.
My string trimmer will not engage. Help, please.
I can't activate pro view on Ps5. Any idea?
There are a few different ones. I'm sure you tested the simple ones, but I have to mention them anyways. I assume pushing in the right analog activates ProView on the PS5, but make sure that is the case. I played on the Xbox, so I don't know the PS5 control scheme very well. Obviously, make sure whatever button its assigned to works. I've actually found broken controllers by accident when a feature wouldn't work for me, so load up another game and make sure the button/stick works. There ARE some Missions/Challenges where ProView isn't available. And finally, it is possible that the game just glitched and restarting could fix that. Those are my recommendations, so I hope one of them helps.
What did you do that the grass turn white
Its called ProView. I don't remember the buttons for it, but I think it happens for pushing in one of the thumbsticks on console. Some of the Challenges don't let you use it, FYI. I don't know the control scheme for PC, though.

Please help me. I really enjoyed the game, but I can't find _where_ it says what grass height you're supposed to be mowing at. I've looked all over. I figure I must just be dumb because no one else on the internet has asked, but I can't find it. Please, I just want to do menial chores.
I think it can vary depending on version and what console/PC you play on, but I'm re-installing so I can double check. I'm fairly sure you can pause the game and the recommended cut height is displayed on that first pause screen though. In Career Mode and for some of the Challenges, it's displayed on the screen where you accept the Contract, too.
In missions, you can pause and you should see Icons at the top of the screen. One is a pause button, the next are gears, etc. The Pause Menu tab will display Resume and Quit on the right, but on the left is a small picture and name of the Contract you are doing. Below that is the Money, RP, and Complexity, and below those are the Contract Type, Cut Height Range, Current Grass Range, Recommended Finish Time and Completion Target, The Cut Height Range is the one you are looking for. If you're on console, go back to the mower and after you Hold X to start it, you can press Up/Down on the DPad to change the cut height.
At the Contract screen in Story Mode and for Challenges, it lists it under the "Cutting Height" heading and it also lists it at the Pause Screen when you start them. If you have other questions, let me know!
They need to add husqarvna, hustler, kubota, john deere mowers into the game
I have this game for Xbox series s I always end up getting penalties
Some of the levels are actually impossible. Not a blade of grass remaining and stuck at 90%. I just don't understand this game.
Maybe I'm retarded and my math let's me down but I don't think this is right; after day 5 you NEED to buy an eco mower because there are only 3 eco tasks left, you can NOT do those normal ones anymore. But the thing is, you need to take a loan but there's the small one about 2500 available. Still not enough money to expand your company to get a slot more... So you have to give your starter mower back to get at least the cheapest eco mower. You then get only 1 mission that you can do because your mower is to broad for those other 2.... I mean...wtf? Sry for my bad English but I hope you understand what I mean.
All of my content was made before the Eco mowers were introduced, so I can't comment as to whether your math is right or not. Sorry.
