    You still need to cap the return line at the T connection that feed the front right brake caliper or it will leak brake fluid when you apply the brakes

    Fed up with this 03 Tracker I’m 67 years old and been driving since I was 16, back then we didn’t have those valves and I never had a problem. The valve is going to be bypassed and that’s It. Case closed. I’ll update after I get er back on the road. If anyone has better ideas let her rip I’m open. I live in northern Canada and parts are not that readily available here.

    Hey so you’re telling me that all I have to do is get rid of the return line to bypass that load sensing pain in the shorts?

    Cool. So you have one line that goes from MC to front brake calipers, split at the T. Then you have one line that goes from the MC all the way to the back brakes split by the back T. So it's an un bias system. 50/50 front/back or more precisely, same pressure to both front and back brake systems. Although this "works", your truck does not have the same LOAD on front and back or evenly distributed weight from front to back. At a certain point in your range of braking, the back brakes WILL lock up before the front brakes do. Hope you're a good driver, because this brake system is dangerous AND is the exact reason these trucks were DESIGNED with the LSPV. Easy way to fix this system however, just install a proportional valve in between the MC and the T for the BACK brake line. Depending on load, it can be adjusted. Toyota designed this truck with a 60FRONT/40REAR braking ratio. Good luck.

      Thank for the concern. This is on a rock crawler that gets towed to the trails, and pretty much always has the same load. I've used the Wildwood proportioning valves, and had no change in the feeling of the brakes, so decided to remove it. Never had a brake lock up.

      I have the same setup but if you can tell when you bleed the brakes the rears will dump slightly less fluid with this setup i forget the braking precents but i want to say its 40% in the rear 60% in the front which isnt a bad combo most of the weight is up front@@dREaDneck_Moto

    Back in the day when they came up with brakes there was no such thing as LSPV just a master cyl and couple tees......lock up!!....take your foot off the brake pedal man! Sure it works if you lock them up you will still have somewhat directional control...but then ABS comes in play there too another great invention...if your a pilot! Most of the vehicles with the LSPV problems are used off road anyways and there who gives a S$#t so long as there's a brake that works. Imo an added expense!

    I'm doing this on a 03 tracker and can't figure which of the 2 rear lines to use. My master cylinder has 4 hookups 2 for the front and 2 for the rear. Both rear lines went to the valve, one was on the rear of the MC and one was on the front of the MC.

    • @rvalcourtpersonaca
      @rvalcourtpersonaca 6 років тому

      Allen McKinney I’m doing the same, have to bleed the valve but can’t get the bleeder loose. These valves are no longer available so I’ll have to bypass it. I guess I’ll find the pressure line by loosening one fitting at a time and have someone pump the brakes. The one that leaks will be the one that I will connect to the rear wheels. There is no question as to do it , or not to do it, it needs to be replaced but is no longer available. Any ideas will be appreciated.

      Richard Valcourt I've found the lines on the driver side of the master cylinder goes to the rear. At the moment I have the front line plugged and I'm using the rear line with a wilwood adjustable proportioning valve ($40 ebay). I got the back brakes to stop but the pedal is still soft and I'm not sure whats next.

    • @rvalcourtpersonaca
      @rvalcourtpersonaca 6 років тому

      Allen McKinney I sprayed the valve a few times with WD40 and finally got the bleeder opened and bled the valve. It’s good now and the pedal is a bit soft but i noticed that most of these Trackers have soft brakes, I’ve had quite a few of them. So far all is well, I think I got lucky. Good luck!!

    I'm tired of these Load Sensing Brake Valve worriers, they constantly question and defend something they haven't even tried. No you do not need racing brake proportion adjuster, you will not notice any difference after you delete your LSPV. Chances are the stupid spring was already fucked and not working already. Very common fault for failing inspection and the spring is rip off money as well.

      @@dREaDneck_Moto I’m sorry I should’ve worded that differently. The tee that you took apart was that the return line hook up to it. And then just left the line hang there. I’m trying to figure out which is the return.

      @@colinselby2405 Yes, as much as I can remember. When you remove the LSPV you are really simplifying the whole system, so no return line needed. You can plug weld the "T" to make it into a regular "L" fitting.
