TrailTech fan vs OEM KTM Fan

My TrailTech fan stopped working after 3 rides, and after some testing I determined it's the thermostat controller, not the fan itself. bummer, the $220 TT fan is exactly the same as the $125 KTM fan.

Dirt bike riding Cheyenne Ridge out and back trail spur (139.1A) off the main 139 (Crown Point rd.) west of Ft. Collins, CO. This would be a great dual sport or ADV camping ride. Bike needs to be street legal. Very crazy terrain after the Cameron Peak fire of 2020.

Man, what a trip. Glad she made it out of there ok!
Bummer brother 😮
Looks like we got our bike at the same place!
Cool! I live right in Loveland not far from that store.
I’m trying the same setup man are they both rear tires
Sold the bike long time ago, but I think it was a 4.6 front, 5.1 rear.
Cheers thanks the dealership was telling me they are both rear tires Thanks for the quick reply
@@Josefppaz The shinko 244 is the same tread front and rear. I've mounted them on other bikes, too.
@@dREaDneck_Moto thanks man
Hey so you’re telling me that all I have to do is get rid of the return line to bypass that load sensing pain in the shorts?
Sweet set up you have. hopefully one day il have set up like that. Badass. Enjoy be safe
Lookin good brother ! Nice job !
👍🏼
Looks good great job
I put the exact tires on my 23 KLX 300sm. Absolutely love them. Eats up trails with ease. 💢💢
I never got it on trails, traded it in on a 300 2 stroke.
🤘🏼
One a my favorites . All kinds a trails up ther ! Been 4 wheelin that one since early 80s . Goin all the way up n over n dropin n to marys lake is a good time . Old mine shafts around apex . Gotta be cautious in a cpl areas ! Last time i was up ther . We were at the switch back at little echo lake . Seen a jeep coming down from the top . So we waited for him to get down . And waited . And waited. Finally here he comes . Headed on up . Thers a mongo boulder in the road the size of a pickup truck . Big trail a tranny fluid from the boulder wher he hung up . Told my passengers im not backing down from here to risky . Told em to strap in n hang on . My trucks got a 6" lift . 35/12.50 tires . We literally jumped that boulder in the road . Truck was air born ! You can back door Black Hack off from up ther . Drop ya right in to town. You guys be safe ! Ive rescued several ppl off kingston peak . Good video !
Stop at The Cabins gift shop in Gould . Say hi to my aunt n uncle . Carol n Gary . They have anything you might need ! Be safe up ther !
Thank you!
@@dREaDneck_Moto almost didn't subscribe. I went rounds with about 6 dirt bikers back way into coney flats . Bastards came rippin right through our camp ! And then just ripped and kicked up as much dirt as they could . Came rippin back through a hour later while we were shooting. So we quit shooting while they bounced through our camp again . 30 mins later, here they come again 😒 So i just didn't quit shooting this time . When they realized i was gonna keep shooting my targets . The lead bike went to rip through our camp again . He realized i had enough a their shit and i was still shooting . The lead bike railed right for me . I just kept cappin rounds 44 mag . He laid his dirt bike down 15 feet in front me . Then it was a fuck you contest 😒😒😒 Assholes anyhow ! I was thinking of installing shinkos 244s on my klx to extend my riding season to all year😀 I’m in the Chicago area

I traded it in for a gasgas 300 2 stroke.
Damn I. Miss. The. Rockies
I did put these on my bike love it so far . Bike has more clearance n little taller .

I was thinking of riding there tomorrow. Do you need a permit or the bike to be licensed to ride there?
You need plates, and the east gate is now locked for wet conditions.
@@dREaDneck_Moto dang. Thank you for your help!!
@@dREaDneck_Moto did you ever see any rangers or anything?
@@nicole123230 I didn't, but I did see tracks where people went around the east gate, and I'm sure the rangers wouldn't like that, so they might be on the lookout. Everyone is antsy to ride, but this wet spring really has things messed up.
@@dREaDneck_Moto I feel that. I appreciate your help man!
You don't say shit bout deleting and bypassing the "T" for the front brakes! Why is your shit half assed??
Is the welder still running
Very nice 😊I have the same bike I’m loving it
nice bike🤙🏽 i'm really debating on getting adv tires I want the capability to go off road but not sacrifice street comfort and confidence with the street tires... then i just think if i do put on new tires that defeats the purpose of the whole supermoto why not just buy the dual sport? is there any reason why u went this route and not the regular klx300 dual sport?
What size tires you running
4.6 front, 5.1 rear, both 17"
@@dREaDneck_Moto where did you pick them up?

Awesome set up dude! Ride safe
What made you go SM over the KLX300 (Standard?) Just curious
It was in stock. I wanted a dual sport, but this is all I could find near me.
@@dREaDneck_Moto I sat on the sm and it felt good being lower. I think that's due to the smaller rims? Great set up!
@@KenRupin Yes, the smaller wheels and lowered suspension. It only has 8.1" rear and 9.1" front travel. Think of my setup as a slightly more capable Yamaha TW200.
@@KenRupin definitely so.
Nice set up dude!

Back in the day when they came up with brakes there was no such thing as LSPV just a master cyl and couple tees......lock up!!....take your foot off the brake pedal man! Sure it works if you lock them up you will still have somewhat directional control...but then ABS comes in play there too another great invention...if your a pilot! Most of the vehicles with the LSPV problems are used off road anyways and there who gives a S$#t so long as there's a brake that works. Imo an added expense!
great video a lot of help thank you
It sounds like a diesel. why it sound so raughty
So is the return line on the front right caliper tee?
The return line gets completely discarded. this setup is just master cylinder to brakes, no LSPV, no return.
@@dREaDneck_Moto I’m sorry I should’ve worded that differently. The tee that you took apart was that the return line hook up to it. And then just left the line hang there. I’m trying to figure out which is the return.
@@colinselby2405 Yes, as much as I can remember. When you remove the LSPV you are really simplifying the whole system, so no return line needed. You can plug weld the "T" to make it into a regular "L" fitting.
@@dREaDneck_Moto Thanks I was about to buy a plug but welding would work. I did find that some people can just unravel the line some and direct connect the front right caliper.
Thanks so fvcking much man, every single moron gives a 2 minute intro, a sponsor, shaky azz camera work and over complicated explanation. This is exactly what I needed to know in a minute thirty. TY!
Does the 7018 weld well to the center?
Yes, better than hardwire MIG. The MIG was leaving cracks.
@@dREaDneck_Moto I was going to use 309 stainless rod?
@@jamesd2514 As common as 7018 is, I'd probably just get a box if that, but I do like using 309 on stuff like this, too.

Good video my Friends how is the break working after you delete the LSPV valve
It's great, only way I set all my old Toyotas up. I've done this many times.
@@dREaDneck_Moto do you have to cap off the return line on a 1994 Toyota because I’m try to delete it
@@jordangibbs8767 yes, you need it to be just a single line from the master cylinder to the rear axle.
You still need to cap the return line at the T connection that feed the front right brake caliper or it will leak brake fluid when you apply the brakes
So you can just delete it and not use the Willwood valve?
Yep, I've done this many times. Actually just came in from a snowy drive.
I got the air mattress that fits that tent and love it, but at 320 pounds I have no issue with the og pad that it came it

Omg, i thought my pump was loud but thats crazy loud!
Yeah, I ended up taking this out of my van, and installed a free standing heater with the pump under the body, outside the cab.
I helped build one about that year . We figured out the old style bronco axels were only 2 inches wider than the toyota axels . Did all the welding on the truck . Spring perches etc . Stuffed a ford 302 in it . Did mounts n fabbed radiator brackets . It was quite the project . C4 tranny . Thing would broil the tires all day long . No problems till the guy put NOS on it . Blew the motor up ! Looks good brother !
This one is a tube buggy now. All that's left is the dashboard. If you scroll through my other videos you can see it.
20 plate exchanger, but what are the dimensions? 3"x7" And how did you connect to the exchanger itself? I've never seen tabs on these. Looks great.
Go check out dudadiesel.com they have everything. I think it's a 10 plate, it doesn't need to be very big, water is hot hot hot!
That may explain why I can almost never hat two bends perfectly in plane. Thanks!
I wouldn't think this would have an effect on your bends being clocked together. Make sure your 1st bend is leveled to the die before making the 2nd bend, use the hold down bolt, and lube your follower die.
I found a guy that claims to have quite pumps for sale. Text me and I can shoot a link.
I've seen them on ebay. Might have to give it a shot. Thanks.
