Ok I have a 1990 Toyota 4Runner w/ manual transmission 4x4. I have disc rotors on front, and drum brakes on rear. I use OEM Organic pads. I bled my brakes, my brakes work, no leaks. I don't have ABS. Sometimes when I slowly exit the driveway, I will tap the brakes and one of the rear tires will briefly lock up and release, leaving a 8" streak/tire skid in the driveway. Its random, it can be one wheel or the other rear wheel with drum brakes. It only happens at very low speed. Any ideas? I have new dot 3 brake fluid, I never mix synthetic with conventional brake fluid.
Your car doesn't have a load-sensing proportioning valve, so you'd be good. If you did a rear-disc-brake conversion, you'd likely want the disc/disc proportioning valve from the donor vehicle.
@halmc >You ain’t no shop teacher either! Baby joystick lane departure w/LYDAR to keep out of the waisted carbon foot print lane of human departure. I will see you in the post office hanging on the wall, next to your uncle tickels;
There was the “Greatest Generation”, then the “Toughest Generation” (That was us) because no ABS, SIR, No Seat Belts, Metal Dash and no Load Sensing Rear Brakes.
My 2000 kia sephia has a brake prop.valve built from a block of aluminum vs original/others that are made /of cast mold aluminum- This car did not have ABS an op[tion. Mine has 4 lines go to it and as 1 magocalician had a pic- there is a screw in the top middle and MUST placed & BE IN Place to keep its bi-directional tiny piston from going left or right during a brake bleed. Who has this GDFRkn screw NO ONE DOES 3 yrs iof replacing all part for ZERO will; not stop car in 4x the distanc e as before 1 line broke 5r yrs ago < BULShit Bullshit KIA

Do cars equipped with four wheel ABS system need proportioning valve?
If I ‘theoretically‘ lowered my car, would that trip the sensor?

How is it that people always like to mess around with furnaces...? 😂😂
