    I just started learning how to crochet and I've watched multiple videos about how to start a chain. I couldn't do it, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong and finally after watching this video I understood and was able to start a chain! Thank you so much for making a video that's easily understandable and helpful! ❤

    Thank you, very much. I've been looking for clear, concise videos for beginners. Personally I've been crocheting for 52 years, but I know a lot of Beginners who are overwhelmed by all the 'beginner' videos on UA-cam. I thought it would be a good idea to scan through the videos and pick the ones I thought were good. I love what you've done here. :-)

    Im literally crying because I got a crochet kit for Christmas and I’ve been trying to do a slit knot and other things but nothing is helping because I don’t understand- it’s so annoying because I’ve been wanting to start crocheting for ages and now I can’t even do 1 knot it’s annoying and just sad and everyone is saying this is the best one they have found but I don’t understand anything.

      Pause the video when you need to, and just enjoy taking it slowly and watching the video closely, and make sure that with your right hand you're able to hold the hook with your thumb and middle finger in same place but on either side of the hook, with your pointer finger on top of the hook. That way, your pointer finger helps hold the hook while your thumb and middle finger can pich the slip knot. And what this form of stitching does is it elongates the tail end (short piece of yarn) from the top, since each time your adding a tiny loop to the top. It should start to look like a thin braid. You got this!:)

    The 2nd coop of your video where you show us how to make the chain is really helpful. The slip not trick for me as you do it is quite tricky but the 2ne clip is just wonderful. I have found another easier way to make the slip not. I thank you for your time for showing us this. Again thank you so much. We all learn in different ways.

    Finally, a true teacher who knows all the necessary skills needed and demonstrated them very well. I have spent years trying to find a slip knot that worked. I always ended up with the working yarn tightening the stitch (wrong). And I never knew for sure which way to insert the hook, if it fell out of my chain stitches. In past I was able to crochet an afghan, but.....without a slip knot and sometimes work twisted. Thank you. You are an excellent teacher. I spent 11 years evaluating classroom teachers for state dept. of education. New subscriber, can't wait for next lesson!

    I am starting over again after trying so hard for over a year. I couldn't avoid the spaces in the stitch and when I finished the patterns, there were loops in the stitches. I love crocheting so I am starting over and I find this video very helpful with how far to slide the yarn over the needle once it has been pulled throgugh the loop.

    Remember the most important part of crocheting is remaining calm and determined! Some things will come easier to some people than others it doesn't mean the people who need more help are stupid or failures it just means they need more help and that's okay cause eventually they'll learn to create beautiful things with just a ball of yarn and their own two hands😁😁

This video is amazing and had I found it in the beginning I believe I would have had much better success. Thanks for this series.

    I know this is an old video but I just wanted to say THANK YOU! I’m making something for someone for Christmas and I wanted to make a tiny little crocheted hat. I couldn’t find anything so I decided I better figure out how to crochet. This is the only video that made sense to me.

    I have watched so many of these type of videos but this is the only one I ever understood all of them that I ever watched were all like telling you how to do this or that but I never understood and I gave up on crocheting but when I watch this video it made me think that crocheting is much easier than it is 💗

      Go easy on yourself just make the slipknot bigger

      I think it was hard to

    • @AppropriateRigatoni
      @AppropriateRigatoni 2 місяці тому

      The way you can make your slipknot big is by pulling upwards With your crochet hook While Bringing your left index finger down, Loosening it

      Look pause it every single 30 seconds, or you can watch the whole video two or three times then you’ll get the hang of it and he will stop crying I hope
