lol so much extra work, when i changed my cluster i just flashed the cluster to my vin/car with winkfp and everthing was good to go, none of this bs soldering and messing with chips. you can also use softwares like bmw scanner 1.4 or ista
You probably bought a cluster that was virginized
@@roskinc not sure but i know for a fact bmw scanner 1.4 can program non virginized clusters or any other module really

Are e90 335i gauge cluster interchangeable with e60 535i
I have a manual 535xi and the cluster I got came from an smg... now if I code the kombi like you did will it automatically code it with the manual trans cause I got a trans malfunction because m5 was an smg
What happens if you don't zero the milage and just fit a higher milage one? Will it save the highest to the DME permanently?

Viddi programer I use for the vin, r270 programer for the mileage if you need to, and for the alignment program called PERFECKTOOL I’ll try film a video on these steps as well
@@roskinc dude that is awsome I cant wait ...one other question I purchased a blue tooth module from you a while ago it's great however on some songs volume is really low and volume on phone and radio is maxed out is there some where in coding to offset the volume for aux if I go back to radio or CD or ipod it his fine I have to turn it down.....1 more I also coded in the high fi sound equalizer it shows up but is greyed out on adjustments can that be fixed per coding also thanks bro your hacks for the e60 are great

Yes correct, needs to be pre lci still. Didn’t mention this in video so i will pin this for people curious, didn’t think of it til now.

Is it really necessary to configure the chip? Can I just jump to the second stage?
Yes otherwise you will get a tamper dot. The VIN have to match. If the miles on donor cluster is lower than current mileage then it will display the higher mileage (your car) if you put a higher mileage cluster on the vehicle, it will show the higher mileage.
Can i do this to my 530d?

So the VIN inside the eeprom is not possible to be changed via OBD? For example using tool 32 or winkfp?
Correct only be done via the method shown. Can’t be done obd2 with any software

What about the mileage Can you Set the different mileage?
You can change the mileage if the mileage on cluster is HIGHER than your actual mileage in car. If you change the mileage lower it will still show the mileage that your car has.
