Losing people you love sucks normally too. Being immortal doesn't make that worse unless you are incapable of moving past the pain. If you aren't healing after the losses and just hoping death ends your suffering, well that is something terribly wrong with you right now. Immortality for a healthy person who can grieve and move on is no different to life normally.

Years, decades don't seem that long to someone who has lived for hundreds of years resulting in them feeling like they are losing people all the time. People would almost become like pets to them as they live so much infinitely longer than them. Imagine loving someone so much you never want to be apart from them and then realising that one day they'll die and you'll still be the same? A normal person couldn't endure that for more than a few times before actually going insane.
Being immortal isnt a curse or something negative. Having the mentality that its a curse is the true curse. You lose nothing that you wouldn't have lost being a normal mortal. If youre mortal, you'll still lose loved ones. Youll still have to carry on after they die. You will still fall in love and lose that love. Sine married at 20 who's spouse dies in an accident at 30 still has to keep moving forward and may still fall in love yet again and lose that love as well. Youll still change who you are. None of us are the same at age 25 as we were at age 5. Immorality isnt a curse. Your mentality is.

Losing people you love sucks normally too. Being immortal doesn't make that worse unless you are incapable of moving past the pain. If you aren't healing after the losses and just hoping death ends your suffering, well that is something terribly wrong with you right now.

@@Merilirem depends how you view it, at one point or another you start thinking of time differently. Years, decades don't seem that long to someone who has lived for hundreds of years resulting in them feeling like they are losing people all the time. People would almost become like pets to them as they live so much infinitely longer than them. Imagine loving someone so much you never want to be apart from them and then realising that one day they'll die and you'll still be the same? A normal person couldn't endure that for more than a few times before actually going insane.
Being immortal isnt a curse or something negative. Having the mentality that its a curse is the true curse. You lose nothing that you wouldn't have lost being a normal mortal. If youre mortal, you'll still lose loved ones. Youll still have to carry on after they die. You will still fall in love and lose that love. Sine married at 20 who's spouse dies in an accident at 30 still has to keep moving forward and may still fall in love yet again and lose that love as well. Youll still change who you are. None of us are the same at age 25 as we were at age 5. Immorality isnt a curse. Your mentality is.

I dont like when an immortal character rejects someone they actually like, btw this is my opinion. Because, if you really like him then why would you reject? I know it would hurt her more when he is gone, but atleast spend some memories with him and enjoy his company
