I had a mistake in video where I say this pedal is not really best pick for metal tones. I meant in regards to more "modern and tighter" metal tones. Ofc it can do metal. It's a beast of a pedal. Let me know what you think :)
@Gabriel Masri haven't played Taichi - but from what I've heard - Maximum is way more versatile with way more gain on tap and a lot more options to shape tone. So I'd go with Maximum. But then again, depends what you need it for, what kind of music and tone :) Hope that helps.
Should've put the tone all the way up. I think it would've gotten tighter. This pedal into an Xvive Golden Brownie sounds killer. Does the tube screamer tightening thing.
Hey man , I'm still trying to decide on this pedal vs the Baatsin, I'm on my Amazon right now , still torn. I play metal stuff , but I do already have a boss overdrive pedal so I'm just not sure what I'm going to do lol
the maximum overdrive is not a metal pedal it more of a jazz and blue pedal if you want to really see where this pedal shine look at go to 1:12 on this link ua-cam.com/video/vH3VD5kMX6c/v-deo.html&ab_channel=JonisjustTOOLouD%21%21
I do have one (Lichtlaerm Audio - Key and the Gate) - but I didn't use it in this video since I wanted to show how much noise there is from the pedal itself.
I review how it works for metal, I personally don't care about rock / blues whatever tones, I do reviews in the context of metal music and metal hi-gain amps. To me, in this context, this pedal works great and offers a lot of possibilities. There are many many other reviews out there - so feel free to watch multiple. Cheers

@Gabriel Masri then I’d go for Maximum in that case for sure :) Way more gain and you’ll have more range of options to pick between the styles.

This is the worst use for this pedal.
This review does not show what this pedal can do.
