The guitar used is tele part caster with Fender single coils, a warmoth neck, and an Emerson Prewired Kit installed.
•
The amp is a Tyler Amps JT14, which sounds similar to a vintage Fender Princeton but with a little more low end and body!

Excelente demo
I need this pedal in my collection 😍
Damn Joyo! Sounds good! They have some great products I’ve picked up for cheap here in Korea! No added buzz/hum... I’m a fan
Yea! They really deliver for their price
Good work ❤
I got this one a little bit ago. This is a Full Drive 2 Mosfet clone, and they did an EXCELLENT job on this one (and well, most of their stuff! lol) Love it bro, it's on my pedal board along with my TaiChi and Tauren. Problem is, which one do I like to use more? lol I wish I could smash them all on at the same time, then I would be the happiest! :-) I have a sweet combo / demo for you very soon my friend that you will love. I will let you know as soon as it arrives!
Nice! Yea I think the Zip is my favorite so far of the R series drives
@@aaronjlivecchi I watched your Zip video as well. I had been considering getting one, was kinda on the fence due to the Compression settings and seeing mixed results, but you did a great job demoing it. I think the compression settings would vary based on guitar / pickups used (which was the issue in the other videos I had watched). Good job as always man!
For sure. I’d prob go no comp with my Gibson/humbuckers. And middle comp with my tele or strat. Prob wouldn’t use the super compressed setting much
Would like to see a side by side between this pedal and the now out of production FD2. Really appreciate my FD2 and would like to have a back up. And Comp Cut has enough serious gain to push an amp into meltdown.
I def would if I ever got my hands on one. Never played the FD personally.
Love my Fulldrive.. staple of my sound for over a decade. This seems like a great fill in.. for under $60? Can’t go wrong!
@@aaronjlivecchi boost on the FD only works when the left side drive is on.. fulltone made a great pedal .. but there are so many great pedals available.. but the fulldrive is really awesome
Haha!
I observed that you didn't increase the boost knob higher in the video. Could you try increasing it and see if the boost functions indepedently?
It doesn’t. That wouldn’t make a difference anyway. Where it was set; it made a vol difference when engaged with a drive. A notable one. So it would do the same to a clean tone. If it worked independently.
Thanks for the review, mate! Can you hear a "pop" sound in the amp when you push the switches?
You’re welcome! Yes sometimes there’s a little pop that’s audible.
@@aaronjlivecchi Thanks for saying, mate! Good luck on your channel! Cheers!
Appreacite the kind words! Thank you sir!
Pretty good sounding pedal!
Can’t beat the price!
Does the boost function independently? Or does the overdrive have to be turned on first for the boost to work?
I’ve seen mixed statements online. Mine doesn’t seem to. It seems it needs to have the drive on.
I observed that you didnt turn the boost knob higher in the video. Could you try turning up the boost knob and see again if the boost works independently?
The boost is not independent unfortunately, it's only active if the Drive is engaged first.
@@DroneShotFPV how come in this attached demo video link, there was a time when only the boost was engaged in the last few seconds of the video?

Why didnt use the Boost knob?
i like this pedal a lot :)
It really delivers for the price!
I recently bought the Joyo Maximum Overdrive. When on the HD setting should there be an audible difference between the MOSFET and standard clipping setting? I hear a difference on flat and smooth settings but I do not hear a difference on the HD clip. Is this normal?
From what I recall off hand. The differences were more subtle in HD.
Is this a transparent overdrive or colors de signal in any way?
Not transparent.
Drastic volume change with clipping modes?
With the Hard clipping yes. That mode is much louder than the other two. Much more vol and less gain. Way more open sounding. The flat mode and smooth mode are more or less the same in gain and vol. very minor differences for that.
PÉSIMO VIDEO. TENÍAS QUE SACARLE MÁS PROVECHO.
PERO EL PEDAL ES BUENO.
