Sorry about the slightly shakey camera in this video! I filmed this after a work out and I guess I was leaning on the table more than usual
No problem, I actually didn't notice it before i read this.
Subtle flex😏😂
Wheres ur protein powder
You dont even take the bestest proteine things!!
Quick fact: Before every brand started to make their own and there was not that much competition, large international companies actually launched their new protein products in Finland first as a test, because they saw that Finnish consumers respond to healthy snacks better than others :) I didn't even know this until a friend of mine did a case study in his uni class on the other side of Europe :D
You should do Taste Test Tuesday for "healtier" snack, including lentil chips, quinoa puffs, chickpea chips, vege/kasvis chips. And then you can do borecole(/kale) chips on your own!
Yes, that would be awesome!
The liquid on top of the quark is just water from the quark. Just mix it with a spoon and it'll be just fine.
Read that first as "liquid on the top quark". What a weird turn to quantum physics.
Its not just water, some of the whey is on it, so its important to mix it in like u said.
I think the protein ice cream is like a treat for those super sporty people. Like instead of candy and chips and real ice cream they will have that on the weekends
The water on top is called "whey" and it's supposed to be in the product. It makes the texture creamier and it has nutrients in it, so mix it in or just shake the container next time before opening it. When you transport the product from grocery store to home, some of the water separates due to handling and temperature fluctuation. Sitting on the fridge for couple of days also makes the product compress under it's weight, pushing more liquid out.
"Tupla you've done it again you sly bastard " best line of the video!
If you like chocolate milk, I highly recommend "Teho suklaa palautusjuoma", comes in these small carton cans and tastes almost exactly like normal chocolate milk without any weird side tastes. It's more of a recovery drink so there's quite a bit of carbs in it too, but it's packed with protein. There is also a version with some added Banana taste. Both surprisingly good.
Its so fun to watch you learning new things!! Your my favorite youtuber at finland!!!
Goof video again!!!
Your best!!
I think the powdery texture your describing is not caused by the amount of protein but the amount of "sourness" that is in finnish "rahka" and such products😊 - valio profeel rahka lover
Profeel caramel (kermakaramelli) pudding is to die for 🥰 The Best thing men have ever created ✌🏻
I highly recommend giving a firm shake those shakes and puddings before use. It makes their texture and flavour much better!
The banana pro feel drink is so effortless. I mean, it’s become a common replacement for missed breakfast on a bus for me.
Same, except I like the orange chocolate one better. :D
Idea: mix those tupla puddings together! I think those would make a nice taste mix :D
"oh tupla you've done it again you sly bastard" LOL
Could you sometimes try the cheap version of things you like for example pirkka, k menu, rainbow, x-tra etc.
K-menu vaalea kahvi
Whenever buying protein bars, should always check the amount of sugar and calories. Many protein bars contain A LOT of sugar. They arent much indifferent from regular candy bars, just more sugar. The best protein products contain little to no sugar at all.
Teho sport valkosuklaa ja vanilja (white chocolate and vanilla) is the best protein drink out there. You should try it if you can find it!
Lohilo protein ice creams next!!
Also, Breyers and Njie Propud ice creams!
As a nutrition therapist, I would ever recommend those product as a protein source for my customers. Let me know if you would like to test a bit different type of protein products. :) (I don't sell anyting, but I know people could perhaps sponsor the products for your tasting. Let me also know if you are interested in trying a bit healthier stuff in your channel. (Diets, products etc.)
Hi! I'm wondering could you do a Sisu pastilli taste test? 🤔
I'm eating those atm so that's how I got the idea. There is such a large variety of them so it would be nice to hear if you taste the difference between them. Although I know very well that you're not the friend of black sweets 😁
Whenever I drink anything from a small carton I open the bottom folds and squeeze the rest of the drink out too. Works also with cooking cream cartons :)
Those Tupla (yes Tupla is the best chocolate bar in Finland or anywhere) protein bars contain 27% sugar!!!!!!
If you're on a diet, sugar is your number 1 enemy, followed by flour (products, like pasta, bread etc)
i agree that refined sugar should not be consumed no matter what lifestyle you lead but carbs are not your enemy.
edit: by carbs i mean everything, including those you mentioned.
You need carbs, your muscles need carbs.
@@Sankutenku your body does need carbs but its not necessary to eat carbs at all. your body can make the carbs through gluconeogenesis. not saying you shouldnt eat them.
Sanna, your dietary requirement for carbohydrates is 0. your body makes all the glucose it needs. Katso Tomi Kokko kanavaa täällä YouTuubissa.
the science says different. Low Carb High Fat (LCHF) or keto diets are proven to be sustainable, healthy and effective for weight reduction. Even a carnivore (meat only) diet works very well for very many people. And remember, many cancers need glucose to grow (Warburg effect).
You should try ProFeel Cream Caramel (kermakaramelli) pudding! It's really good, and it's quite low carb + higher in protein (20 g) than Tupla puddings.
Fun fact: Salmiakki (Ammonium Chloride) is not naturally black but in fact a white powder. Liquorice itself is not black either, it is colored black with activated charcoal.
And if you'd like to know what do you need to make Salmiakki (seriously do not do this at home): Ammonia and Hydrochloric acid.
Could you perhaps do a video on how you manage to live in Finland on a youtube salary? Or sidejobs you may have?
I want to move to Finland, but I am struggling with finding a job so I am wondering how you do it.
My favourite protein bar is fast rox salted caramel crisp.
First of all, the protein quark (rahka) pudding is supposed to give a dry sensation in your mouth when you eat it, it's kind of a feature. Second, Valio is on of the biggest (or the biggest?) producer of dairy and dairy products in Finland, I thought you knew that after been living in Finland for 2 years now! :)
I like your tastings! :)
Valio is THE biggest. Agree on the tasting videos :)
the profeel proteiinirahka kuningatar is my fav (try it) !! little sugar, a lot of protein but so tasty !!
Omg my friend told me how good those Tupla proteing things are and I had hard time believing... Maybe I should try too!
Yeah there tend to be a lot products because it´s trend now to eat a lot of protein. Same was for a awhile with Sirkka products, but not so much those on store´s anymore ;)
Ok, so maybe after 5 or so Kotipizzas in a row, I too could find motivation to go to a gym? And Tupla puddings afterwards...🤔
Mate, try out the Skyr quarks or Ehrmann protein puddings! Those were my favourite ones in Finland. I miss those dearly now that I live in the UK. Skyr also exists here and it's even from the same brand but it's a yoghurt version so it has less protein. Skyr quark is the only one I like as it doesn't have that weird texture that sticks to your tongue and teeth. Come to think of it, I actually did find one Skyr quark in M&S foodcourt so they kind are here as well
Great video AGAIN! 👌🏻❤️
Yes my Tuesday is now complete 👍🏻
That protein shake is a banger!
TUPLA -choclate, caramel, almond ,cacoa butter, even honey
we watched a film or something in school called "suomalaisuus" and I thought I recognized your voice and then I remembered this channel. Hi dave
You should do a "what I eat in a day" video :)
Hey, Dave! You should have tasted the Leader So much taste, Double chocolate bar. If find it much better in terms of flavor compared to the Pirkka chocolate bar. Btw both of those bars are made from soy protein (That's probably why you thought the Pirkka one tasted much worse than the other protein products which are made from milk protein). They don't contain milk at all. For me as a milk allergic person they are really great. The Pirkka one doesn't taste that good but it does the job, but the Leader double chocolate one is kind of a treat from me.
My favorite protein bar is the gainomax blueberry bar. They disappeared from the stores for like couple of years when they renewed the recipe I think but last week I finally found some from a bigger kmarket and ended up buying ten bars at once lol... But they're even better than before!
Yeyy more taste test!
You missed out on Lohilo Protein Ice cream!
Fitfarm.fi approved ;)
The Vadelma Lakritsi is great and the Salted Caramel as well!
The salty caramel is best Tupla+ bar 😍
Profeel Orange protein shake is my favorite.
Could you please try some vegan meat substitutes? For example härkis, nyhtökaura, beanit, vöner, jalotofu etc?
Dave is a man, not a rabbit.
Those valio shakes are my go to snack at work on the days my shift is not long enough to have an actual lunch break so I go make the afternoon coffee for everyone have the shake while doing that. Chocolate orange is my favourite 😀
Rahka or kvarg in svedish have hera at top from making process, its pretty filled with milk protein. So thats liquid at top.
I love the chocolate Profeel drink with no added sugar. Helps me get through those super long uni days🙈
Same
Out of all the protein bars I've ever tasted the Tupla+ Salmiakki is easily the best. You could actually eat it just for taste. 😋
Maitokolmio ProFit puddings (chocolate and toffee) are the best imo, smooth texture and not powdery at all. Also the best proteinbar I have tasted so far is Sportlife Nutrition Tasty orange-chocolate 😁 Fast Naturally High protein Coconut is pretty good too 🤔 it's like a (too) healthy version of bounty 😂
The biggest issue with protein products is that many of them have the same amount or even less protein than similar products that are not marketed as protein products. For example basic non-flavoured quark has over 10g of protein per 100g and they often come with less calories as well. People buy into those branded products because they're not used to looking at all the ingredients and comparing products by nutritional values.
You need to make a part 2. Nax bars were not in, Lohilo ice creams were not in (although they are made in sweden they deserve to be here), also more quarks and maybe even pancake mixes. Also Leader cola if you can find one.
You should try Fast ROX protein bars also :)
Some of those are good but I still avoid most of the protein products, because they still have rather high amount of carbs and the sweetener they use is maltitol. Even though it's 0 calories, maltitol still effects blood sugar somewhat and gives you cravings for sweets. I think there is only one protein bar that uses stevia as sweetener and that is Leader's Soft Bar. Other product I eat from time to time is original Skyr.
You should look for "whey protein isolate" from products. Thats King of proteins. :)
There was a lot of news year or two ago about "protein quarks" having less proteing than just normal quark.
I saw you last saturday on Stockmann. You were looking some baby stuff
tupla sponsor when ;)
Try the sportyfeel products from Lidl
Dave: Tupla
Dave: *y e s*
I like quite a lot of them you have bought. They are good. Also going to EasyFit gym :D
Test out Lohilo icecream :)
My favorite is the Pirkka vanilla protein drink. Legit tastes like you're drinking vaniljakastike
Can someone explain why chocolate pudding is always a lot firmer than caramel/toffee ones!?
Well chocolate is just more firm than caramel. Caramel is runny while chocolate in its natural form is not. Think of cacao powder, its not a liquid.
Ex0rz I guess so, but I just find it weird that the companies don’t make their caramel pudding set better, since that could be done quite easily. At least I think people prefer firmer texture over the more liquid one 🤔
Dave I love Tupla❤
Please try out bun2bun burgers. They're the best burgers you can get in Helsinki!
Mate, those are horrible. Make your own, it’s also cheaper. Get a big bag of Voimaruoka protein mix from Ruohonjuuri, add some plain extra hera protein and msm powder, mix with oat or almond milk :)
btw there’s one valio yoghurt with 20g of protein and no added sweeteners or sugar (which you showed)
I'd add that use opti msm instead of regular msm powder. Its been distilled better so it has less inpurities
Next time try to microwave those Tupla protein bars!! 👌
YOU HAVE GOT TO TRY THE GOD DAMN VALIO PROFEEL SUKLAAKAAKAO, INSTANT SATISFACTION
Try nutrilet bars and products next
Sugar free is where it's at, but better not eat too much at once... ;D Anyway, the sugary products are crap unless you work out a lot and absolutely need the extra energy. Even then, questionable. Also, lidl has some pretty ok sugar free options (sportyfeel bars). And I personally love the profeel orange chocolate pudding drink.
Oh and maxim protein bars salty caramel and mint (the mint one tastes like after eights). :D
The pingviini ice cream is a crappy protein ice cream. Try Lohilo, Breyers or Njie Propud (salty caramel is much better than the chocolate).
And pingviini was sold to Nestle
they should have some liqurice protein things :D
Pingviini used to be Valio's icecream branch, but it was bought a while a go by Nestle, so unfortunately it's not Finnish anymore.
Pingviini-jäätelöt valmistetaan tosin edelleen Suomessa Turengin tehtaalla!
Please, don't be fooled into the protein supplement game. Many "protein-rich" products have actually less protein than their regular counterparts. That's very common for protein quarks. For example, Skyr has just the same amount of protein than regular low fat non-flawored milk quark. The products often very misleadingly label the amount that the whole package contains rather than what's in 100g to make the comparison harder. In bars the situation is not as bad, though.
Dave how many grams of protein did you end up eating??? 😂
Does one video on protein didn’t eat for the next couple of meals.
Is tupla protein vanukas ugly
Is this a Tupla commercial?
Has Dave put mascara on his eyes? 🤔
Nije propud lactose-free chocolate milkshake is the only protein product I like.
Tupla proteinivanukkaan valmistaja on Maitokolmio, Toholampilta 😎
YOU NEED TO SHAKE THE PROTEIN BANANA CHOCOLATE SHAKE GODDAMMIT ;-;
I dont know why I keep watching these taste test, like all these are dairy products and im vegan 🤔😅 I guess I just like to hear you talk 😅✌️
I would like to see you do somekind vegan taste test :) Like candy/snacks or somethink.
Jumping rope Is super good For losing weight
/// hey if u wanna do a taste testing from vegan version of this , would be awesome 😅
9:36 orange chokolad is better
Moi🦄
"hohhoh" .. soo finnish 😆
skkkrrra
Where is the king kabab
if there is a word protein in product name it's just for advertising the product... check the nutrition information and you'll see that there is much more protein in regular products 😆lol one week gym and protein products doesn't make you healthy 🤣😂
The Pingviini ice cream doesn't even have that much protein
Olisipa rahkaa
But Pirkka is the cheapest! Thats why it’s the best
marsu
16:55 owo
That pirkka protein bar tastes like absolute shit. 1st chunk is ok but eating it entirely is a real challenge
Mm finland
