I have an appreciation witnessing you operating at that elevation. I am at 450 feet elevation now that I am retired stone mason. I did spend the late 70; s till 2007 in the wight mt nations forest in NH at around 1500 to 2000 feet. Getting a good beath on Monday was different than by Friday. You are always in an isometric position with that saw. Remarkable day in and day out.

Fantastic view of the mountain top, it looks like half of the top of peak has collapsed away and left a bench yeah. Cheers for the reel, at least it wasn't a wedgeathon today Bjarne...

I've been enjoying your videos for a long time. I live in Nanoose Bay and have had a cottage in Halfmoon Bay for 40 years. As a lifelong boater, I've explored the Coast all the way to Shearwater.
I would really appreciate more detailed location information from you.
    Thanks

Beautiful country. Do you see much wildlife? I’m sure most animals stay clear of all the commotion. I keep looking at the mountain side across from you, for sheep/goats, or something. Stay safe

Would you hang around if someone was flopping your home bud ?

Yeah extra padding to protect those knees best you can is very wise of you. Only got one set and like me and many others I know from my West Coast Forestry days in the '70s & '80s, our knees are now trashed from all the beating & banging. Cheers

up in alaska and over on the coast a lot of guys like those wedges like at 2:04 ...personally i had a hard time warming up to them as they wouldn't last a week for me.. i got into the hardheads and hardhead jr. and really like the 12" long ones. the only drawback to them is that the steel cap mushrooms after a while and eventually falls off. the hardhead jr lasts a tad longer
critique: check your corners before you go back to cutting on the holding wood.

    Bjarne:
Do sharpen the chains yourself in the field or carry spares with you that are already sharpened?

One thing I find curious, not being in construction, is what uses besides closets and exterior housing siding is all that Cedar used for? I assume it is very valuable - any insights?

That sure was steep ground. That cedar launched way down the hill. At least your heart will be strong doing all that.

Huge obstacles worked out wisely and methodically.it’s all about physics.working man physics.not the type they teach in textbooks at school.there is only one place where you learn this.

what happens when you just let them fly, make some good shakes tho . . . next time cable that thing down, 6ft cable, anchor it to top of stump to bottom of feller, try to keep the cable short as possible. . . that thing could have made it to the road and done damage to passer byes... man some wings it would have flown to the mill FCS . . .

Ya not much you can do, it was growing on a ledge. The road was blocked too. I’m just glad it saved out asa well as it did. 🤷‍♂️
