pimentel is corrupt and a fraud. his methods of "treating" SIBO have seriously and irreparably harmed me and many others. he's taking huge amounts of money from salix, and as a result he has massively inflated the number of patients diagnosed with SIBO (remember- he set the guidelines for the breath test) in order to get as many people on rifaximin as possible. this misdiagnosis caused by his guidelines has caused a huge amount of suffering for people that was completely avoidable (rifaximin is NOT harmless or inert, it can have tons of nasty side effects for some people, most of which can last indefinitely). he's a snake oil salesman that somehow managed to get himself backed by the industry, who preys on the desperation of people with mystery GI diseases that think they're finally being given a chance at getting better. he's a fucking rat king

Funny how he doesnt talk about/recommend bile acids much. Bile acids will cure your sibo for good, I've experienced it first hand. It takes a few months and you may not notice any improved symptoms ar first, I didn't have better digestion but I noticed improved allergy symptoms and fat digestion right off the bat. One day after 5 months of taking ox bile I could eat anything I wanted, and had zero discomfort. Honestly a lifesaver supplement as I was so malnourised from being on long term restrictive diet. Pimentel wants you taking rifaximin so he can keep earning royalties on all the sales and you can keep returning to him because it will not cure you.

So take Guar Gum on an empty stomach to feed the bacteria, then take Ox Bile to clear them out? That seems to be what he’s saying - although the video is to short to delineate that. Worth trying though…

I'd be curious to see the science behind the feeding of the bacteria to adequately kill them off instead of starving them which is the most often recommended protocol (the one my dr has me on currently). Low FODMAP plus antimicrobials.

I am just starting to peice together my digestive issues after having an acute onset gum sensitivity and wierd sloughing tissue on my gums that started in April 2022. Periodontist, Dermatologists, ENT Specialist haven't a clue but like to throw around Oral Planus Lichens or Pemphigoid autoimmune diagnosis but refuse to BX. I am on a mission to solve my own UNK autoimmune mystery. Thank you for the information you are putting out there!

Depends on the levels of bile acid one has, and subsequently that how you adjust the dosage, you need to lab test your bile acid levels and your fat absorption, then, a diet made out of fatty meat taking bile acid with every meal for a couple of months. Should definitely see major improvement a few weeks into bile acid supplementation.

I've had a few different problems with my gut, IBS, low stomach acid, leaky gut, Gerd and fatty liver to name a few, that I've now sorted. I've also taken Tudca and my fat digestion is much better than it was but not completely fixed even with the stomach acid levels back to normal & bile flow sorted. My question is can I take ox bile by itself as I have my gal bladder & if we recycle up to 90% with it filing the gal bladder to release after we eat food, this would remove the timing aspect for me to know exactly when to take it, as I've heard lots of different conflicting advice on this, some say just after food, some hr to 2 hrs after and my last bottle said before food, this one just says the dosage and nothing about when, I can't find much info about the timing with a gal bladder intact, any advice is much appreciated
