I have put together this quick how-to video to help you guys understand the pattern and instructions.
On my blog you will be able to download the pattern and basic written instructions on making this super easy obi belt. This is a good beginner project and a great basic template for my more advanced seamsters. feel free to email me with any questions (contact info on the blog)

mimi g.
Please make the pattern available again
I will be doing this you made it so easy, I've seen so many other youtubers do this and make it way too complicated. Thank you
Great instructions. I saw someone ask about plus size patterns but I haven't seen a response. Could you kindly suggest.
Thank you very much for this.
The only suggestion I might make is for people who are not as slim as you are, I'd reccommend heavy weight fusible interfacing on the middle part to keep it from creasing.
I love the rosette tie and I will be using your pattern to make an obi for a Wa Lolita cosplay this coming weekend.
Thanks again.
Hello Mimi G, please you made a video on how to cut a wrap skirt but I can’t find it among your videos, please how can I find and download it? Thanks
Will you please repost the pattern to cut out??
You can find the pattern on MIMIG STYLE page.
Scroll back up to her logo 'M' (the black circle with the white letter M in it) and right under it is the pattern link. To open it just click on to it. You will need adobe acrobat to print it off plus 5 pieces of paper.
Thank you! You explained so easy let’s see if I can it off lol
Me alegro mucho k haga videos en español

Adrienne B Thank you Adrienne!!!!
I just used this tutorial and pattern to make a belt last night. Beginner friendly. My fabric wasn't double sided, so I ended up adjusting for that.
Thank you. Some us don't have access to a printer. Is it possible to run us through the measurements on your actual video. Thanks in advance. 🌺
WOW! A simple project, but stunning results! You are so beautiful and I LOVE the rosette tie technique! Thank you for posting!!! xoxo

I just now discovered this video. Thanks again Mimi! I have made 2 so far and love them 💕
Thank you I got the pattern my issue is can I alter the length and width for plus sizes
Same question I have. Im thinking just add more center pieces until you get your appropriate length
Thanks, Mimi G.! I’m eager to make my first Obi. I want to make these and detachable collars as it will give me a chance to exercise my love for all kinds of fabrics and to accessorize my love of black with a pop of the color my mother always would tell me or send word to me that I needed in my wardrobe. I’m naturally a beige, brown and black person. I hope you won’t mind my saying so, but you look great!! Still I’m used to seeing you before the weight loss and got a little concerned for your health! Then I noted an article on your keto diet. Don’t lose much more weight. You’re what my brother would call a brick house! Don’t lose that effect. It was nice to see a designer built like Latinas and Sistas!!! Also wanted to say that I love your show with hubby on Bluprint. It was delightful to see you and he work together like that! Are you going to do it again? I would love to see a sequel. Both of you are simply fantastic!! Best wishes to you (and Fam) for continued success in all you do!!!!!
What kind of fabric is this dress made out of
You've come a loooong way.. thumbs up for progress
I made this using a fairly soft black silk, so I doubled the fabric to make it heavier. this turned out GREAT! Thank you so much for this video and pattern.

Mimi, can you show a tutorial on how to adjust a "bought" pattern to fit a plus size woman? Thx, that would be most helpful.
Thank you from one MImi to another I am going to be making at least three of these but was wondering how do i expand on one that was already purchased and is not long enough?
