    Do I have to adjust the length for plus size?

    Hey Mimi G. I made the old one years ago, and don’t remember the quality being horrible, but if you say so, I’ll go with it. I’d love to try making the belt again with faux leather. Thanks for the update.

    I'm glad I found this video. Thanks for the tutorial, however, a pattern for Large and XL would be helpful. This one didn't fit me. I should have measured it before I made it.

    Thank you for the tutorial. Can you tell me the maximum waistline that this will fit so that I will know how many inches to add in order to accommodate my waistline. Thanks.

      for my front band i do waist minus 5 inches...the pattern piece is only around 20inches and does not fit most people

    Newbie Question: How many yards of fabric do I need? 1 or 2?

    • @missironmouse
      @missironmouse 5 років тому +4

      Kittyhammertoe100 measure around the widest part of your hips and add five inches. For example: my hips are 41+5 extra gives me 46inches. So for me it would be a yard and a half of fabric. Hope this helps!

    You're first version wasn't great, but it wasn't trash. I'm having the same problem with all the videos on this: no explanation of how to draft the pattern. Let's just say I'm not the same size as you and your pattern won't work for me. I just need to know how to figure the lengths. Would the total be around 2.5 times my waist measurement? And would the front piece be about 3/4 the waist measurement? And therefore the ties would be 1 3/4 of the total (divided by 2 and whatnot)? I figure those numbers should work but I'd love to know for sure. Thanks.

    What interfacing do you use, because that doesn't look like Pellon.

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! I’ve made an evening dress which has ended up being too big on the waist. I’ve just used your pattern to make a black satin Obi belt and it looks fab!

    What waist size will this work for?

    • @MimiGStyleshow
      @MimiGStyleshow  5 років тому +2

      Most sizes but you can make longer, all you need to do is extend the ties, that is all.

    This looks great but I'm just wondering what the actual use of this belt would be or how you would style this. It just doesn't seem to make sense to actually accentuate any bulges you may have in the area with a giant bun sticking out of your abdomen

    Hi, thanks for this tutorial and pattern. Having a brain fog day (!) can you share how much fabric I need for this project. Thanks again.
