Appreciate the Ps4 only analysis 🤘 Also into exploration, it’s my no.1 thing. I’ll check out your channel and see if i can find an rpg with that and with a combat system i can get on with, i struggle with turn based, want to like it but . struggle.
@@woodchi the Xenoblade Chronicles series might be what you’re looking for. But the combat in those games can sometimes be a deterrent. I enjoy it, but it’s definitely very different.
Buying games made for the current gen for a previous gen console is always risky, however, some does get some patches later down the line. The Callisto Protocol is an example, that game looked horrible on launch but it looks better now on the PS4
11:00: this "chugging" is not the PS4's fault at all. The PS4 could easily handle this game (especially this scene). Modern development tools are bloated and make it hard to optimize for older hardware. But the PS4 is not at fault. There are far more graphically intensive games that run far smoother on the base PS4. Games developed in the last 3-5 years are just bloated and poorly optimized. Check out Dragon Quest 11 (not the S version) on the PS4. It looks and runs far better than this game during very similar scenes.
The minimum pc system specs for this game more or less match a ps4 pro. So they definitely took this level hardware into account when creating the game, thankfully!
3:45 - 4:39 This is definitely my stance on traditional fighting games. I just suck real bad at them. I also feel I'm more of a turn based guy myself but do enjoy action rpgs with Kingdom Hearts being my favorite kind.
@@dukey03 I liked the previous 1 and I am a huge fan of RPG’s I am on a hunt to complete 10 different 1’s before end of year and confirm which is better
I played the demo on os4 pro and had zero problems Why are they showing the box art everywhere if you can’t get it physically or is it only physically available on ps5?
I'm playing on a ps4 slim with jailbreak and I thought was a bad dump cause the game runs on 30fps with constant drops to 18-20fps all the time. Unfortunately too laggy, almost unplayable even I got for free lol
@@RPGStory Yeah it unfortunately seems that way. I didn’t even know it was going to be released on PS4; which was why I wanted to check out the demo and show you guys what the performance was like.
@@johnrambo4018 yeah, I imagine it runs much better on all modern hardware. I just wanted to see how it would perform on PS4 because the game looks so good in the trailers. It just made me curious on how something like this would run on last gen tech.
Are you planning on getting Visions of Mana when it comes out!?
Yes 100%
*not* after Square's disasterously low frame rate demo 😅
@@KHhero ROTFLMAO! I’d imagine the PC and PS5 versions won’t be like this 🤣
If i can switch off the markers, i’m in, and will hope i’m ok with the chug - also not bothered by framerate usually.
Game looks beautiful, if i didnt have a giant back log already, i would pick this up on release

do you have an SSD in your PS4? even on the base model, upgrading the old hard drive can go a long way toward reducing stuttering and texture pop-in.
@@MyNameIsBucket I didn’t even know you could put a SSD in a base PS4 tbh.
Oh boy, you're about to see a whole new world of performance. Good thing SATA SSDs are dirt cheap these days.

Battles ARE still SLOW as hell/can't CUTSCENE skip and the games AI for boss fights is still PURE CRAP.
Even when you jump, it's like some slow motion. Unplayable for me on PS4.
Exactly but I don't OWN a PS5/Xbox console and the game is NOT getting a Switch version at all so I kind of HAVE to play it on the PS4.
Big pass for me
Voice acting bad, graphics look like decade old switch port, Square has bad track record as of late. I’m not sure if the game is worth $20 tbh
