I really like how kind kaveh is through his actions and decisions, and how sad it is that as a result, he is in debt, overly anxious about his reputation, constantly fighting emotionnally -it's easy to laugh because he is pure comedy, but when you go a little further, it's actually quite depressing. he's trying to do everything right but he is almost always punished for it.
It really puts it in perspective that aside from Nahida, Kaveh is the closest vision holder to her wisdom. Hes the most child like at heart and that kind of wisdom is priceless.
After her second quest, it's less as praise and more like seeing herself to him. Both are awfully similar in so many ways, most particularly their self-sacrificial nature, generally being troubled by how unforgiving the world can be, and seem to love self-flagellating upholding their lofty and unrealistic ideals.
From what nahida said about him, it close to how I feel about sumeru too, at first you thought the nation of knowledge is about logic and rational, but the whole journey in sumeru and nahida ability was about dream, closer to what kaveh is
My mother is an architect and I studied art for a couple years so I really get kaveh. When it comes to building projects architects can become very emotionally involved and have an exact vision of how the building can be amazing, but in the end the client has final say on what is and isn't used. Dori probably didn't want to use certain materials in the building process while kaveh thought the option she chose didn't suit his vision, and so he covered to cost to make sure the building met his standard. Dori could see the idiot coming a mile away and probably charges a steep interest on her loans, which is why she sounds so smug about having lent him the money. Kaveh artistic aspirations for her palace were met, but he's still paying the price. Every artist has to reason between their vision and what is actually possible, it seems like kaveh didn't want to strike that balance with his magnum opus.
@@Sacration my moms had lots of projects turn out less than perfect because clients decided to use cheaper labour, materials or just straight up change the design themselves (which is illegal) I think kavehs personality is very driven by his passion and emotions and he couldn't let a price tag get in the way of his vision. I respect him for that, but Alhaitham is right to be annoyed with him, if my mom did the same thing I'd probably have ended up in an orphanage
yeahh i think this is the case for kaveh, altho i dont think dori give him an interest rate for his loans, dori like and support kshahrewar ppl after all. i think kaveh did choose lots of rare plants for the palace that ended up becoming his debt xD also dori sometimes pays for his drinking bill (that will also go into his debt) :''"")
@@4munni3 yeah but even if she supports people from Kshahrewar, her favorite thing is still money so it wouldn't be surprising if she did give him a big interest rate. But that's sure that decorations, probably other rare materials used and all the drinks doesn't help either
@@AmeliaMastervally I remembered one of my friend is also in this dilemma, then I said that just go with the client say, you can paced the design with the budget client has, if you only followed your design it will be no time that people will badmouthing you, saying you only done the elite design one, she's changed, and people keep looking for her design later on,,,,, seeing kaveh and alhaitham debating really reminds me of me and my friend back then XDD
@@IAmDAN004 Alhaitham could also be one of those Dolphin efficient types that would spend as little money as possible, if at all. Just gaining pure 'get gud' combat skills while strategically dealing with whatever rng throws at him. Or he wouldn't play Genshin at all lmao
I think what Nahida meant is that Wisdom does not equal knowledge/intelligence, wisdom is life, wisdom is learnt from experiences and you have to actually live through a moment to fully understand it and even if you live through it you might not understand everything, it's something you can't learn from books. Kaveh is kind and lives for his dreams, when his life wilts one day, he'll probably be contented, because there won't be regrets, thus he is wise for living his life to the fullest so that there's nothing to mourn about when he eventually gets old Yeah wisdom is hard to explain and there are as I believe it many forms of it, Nahida probably meant the humane kind of wisdom
That emotionally manipulative remind sme that he is a People pleaser..which I was when I was younger..rn I do try to balance eit out a limit for too much kidnness
I relate to him way too much. I wish other people saw his actual personality and not just the “brattiness” we first saw. I get the feeling nobody actually listens to him even though he actually is full of wisdom and his ideas are good.
There also a message in Port Ormos board that implied Kaveh took off with ten crates of wine that Alhaitham bought from the wine seller there. Funny thing is, he called himself Alhaitham's roommate to the wine seller yet making a fuss over everyone knowing him living with Alhaitham.
At the end of Al Haitham's story quest we can see him worrying about if his secret will be revealed, and mentions that the merchant promised to keep it a secret
I have a friend whose emotionally "fragile" just like Kaveh. She gets emotional very easily, I mean like REALLY EASILY. She was crying hysterically once because she saw a child begging for food on the street. So a person like Kaveh is not "unrealistic". I think some people just feel emotions strongly. Obligatory edit section: Wow this comment kinda blew up. Anyways, I put the word 'fragile' in quotes because I feel like it's not the exact word I'm looking for, but now I've found that the more fitting word is sensitive. And for y'all emotionally sensitive ppl out there please take care of yourself.
bruh i literally found my mirror in genshin finally lol. cuz i exactly did what u said rn, i didnt have my credit card with me to buy some stuff for the garbage collecting little boys. instead i used my taxi money buy them some chocolate at least😭. wish i had my credit card that day
Kaveh is the definition of "Suffering from success". The cost for that success is so high, he forgot that Alhaitham is all about straightforward logics and nothing personal. Poor Kaveh, but don't tell me he's gonna be a 4*
@@WarikiGames Well at least everyone can "HaVe a ChaNcE" to obtain him (I said that sarcastically because every time a new 4* character is added, it takes around 40 pulls of Barbruh and 10 pulls of the new patch's overall rewards to even have one copy. Haiza...the savings but also the suffering.)
Personality wise, I definitely prefer Kaveh. It seems that he has a nice balance of intelligence and heart. Whereas Alhaitham comes across as very self serving. Let’s not forget that near the end of the archon quest, he basically said that he only helped us because if he hadn’t, HIS life would have been negatively affected.
I think it's having a balance of both, having a good heart but also thinking enough of yourself not to let anyone take advantage of it, sometimes doing things in such a passionate way only ends badly, it's better to be a little selfish to avoid problems.
I speak as a person who adores Alhaitham, although in real life im identical to Kaveh. In my opinion Alhaitham is a character who is often not fully understood, but in the end it's quite easy to see yourself in him, he simply would like to live a peaceful life and he also says it in the voicelines of the teapot, he would like not only him but everyone to live in harmony like this not to have problems during life, I don't think it's a wrong reasoning indeed, after all it's what everyone aspires to, to live a peaceful life, let's face it, problems are not beautiful even if they help us to understand more of our life. Kaveh, on the other hand, acts following only his own feelings (this is why I say that he is the same as me, I act following only feelings) and this too is very nice, however, as they say in my country "Being too good makes you stupid", I don't stupid in a bad sense of course, stupid in the sense that one becomes naïve, easily tricked as Alhaitham explains in the Kaveh voicelines about keychains. I am only sorry that Alhaitham is such a misunderstood character because really, there are people who criticize him for his behavior but in reality he is very human, like Kaveh, he also acts for personal gain and I think this is not wrong (although I am his opposite, and acting only out of goodness of heart) in the end, however, he made friends and also met with Cyno, so in a certain sense he had the opportunity to express himself, because it must also be considered that Alhaitham he is a very introverted character, not shy however, he simply prefers to be more solitary and act on his own
@@whitneybennett4857 Having said all that I think about the personalities of Alhaitham and Kaveh I would like to spend a few words on what Dehya said. In my opinion that sentence does not reflect Dehya's thought at all, and in my opinion they also dared to put it a little too much. If one really analyzed the dialogues he would understand that Alhaitham is not snooty, indeed he sometimes resembles that, but also he is quite humble in some of his speeches, he places a lot of emphasis on the speeches but this is also given by the fact that he is still part of the Akademiya, he is the scribe, he has an introverted character and he has basically spent his life in a rather solitary way as can be seen from what we have on his backstory, he may seem haughty but he is not, already the fact that he would never want to deal with too big issues, like being the Grand Sage, yet it ends up being. He didn't even want to be the leader of the group to rescue Nahida, but somehow he ended up being, but only thanks to his intelligence, his resourcefulness, his skill. One thing I've never understood, psychologically speaking, is why few people dwell instead on the way in which Kaveh addressed Alhaitham in the post quest, it was probably just a facade, but his methods were a little too abrupt, in some points even arrogant, for example when he claimed to be better than Alhaitham as Grand Sage, and I'm a little sorry for this, because Kaveh's personality is more easily recognizable and appreciable therefore "errors" or certain ways of doing are much less noticeable, while they stand out more on Alhaitham because he is more rational, and almost colder in speaking here. Alhaitham also from the voicelines is quite complex to understand, even in the voicelines that concern his thought, it is no coincidence that his whole personality is based on a scientist Ibn al-Haytham and on some philosophers (Plato and Aristotle),' his personality is very philosophical therefore it is difficult to interpret, but it would really be nice if more people appreciated him because basically he makes some good reasoning, even very shareable, he has a very harmonious vision of the world, or rather, of his ideal world, where everyone can live according to their happiness (I'm not saying it, he says it himself) and that they can live peacefully and without problems. I think it's a nice message
5:57 Every designer ever to feel offended, insulted, or even demoralized by Alhaitham's logic quote and it made me felt...defeated because I too took path as a designer : ' )
Same. I took the path as an Interior Designer and I love how my teachers praises my design in our plate work. I even relate to Kaveh in making projects at night so people won't disturb me especially my two energetic nephews
I'm not any designer nor am I any art connoisseur. But even I felt offended by the statement that Alhaitham made and initially I used to like him as a character a lot but after seeing more and more of his conversation with Kaveh and just getting to know more about him and his ideologies I'm actually starting to dislike him a little not to the point where I hate him but atleast I'm not a simp anymore.
I think you guys are missing the whole point Kaveh works himself to death = that's not healthy. And for what? Just a smile from his client? Artists should be paid because they are commissioned for their hard work. If Kaveh is only receiving a smile from his client despite working really hard then that would suggest he doesn't know his worth/is being abused by his clients
There is one thing that Alhaitham and Kaveh have in common, there personalities come off poorly at first impressions but there not all that bad when you get to know them, I find many aspects of Alhaitham to be relatable and kaveh is dealing with a lot so I don’t dislike either of them
I'd say that only for Kaveh, he came off poorly at first but I gradually began to like him a lot. I had the opposite happen with AlHaitham, he came off as cool at first but now I think I hate him lol
@@GiGitteru I will say that if you were listening to the English version when you first met him, he came off as snobbier and more antagonistic than the Chinese version. In the Chinese version he was mostly impulsive and hyper lol.
@@GiGitteruy exact thought! Kaveh was like _kinda dramatic_ at first. But when I saw that he was not only dramatic, but the Drama Queen and *unapologetic* about it I was already in luv with him. Besides I agree with Nahida he knows very well about human nsture and how we tie to wisdom
@@onemoregodrejected9369 I mean in his first introduction it wasn't really hs fault for being dramatic I mean come on he was at the desert and completely unaware of the situation that was going on in Akademiya. It's like going on a business trip and coming back only to realize that your entire company is in shambles because your CEO was corrupted and got arrested along with your seniors for doing inhumane shit with your roommate being the mastermind behind the arrest xD
One thing i like about sumeru is that almost all of the characters has interaction with one another. Like an actual interaction. Not just "he says, she says" like in liyue or Inazuma.
Hoyo did an amazing job with his characterization in Sumeru. We've only seen him in a few short scenes, yet his complex big personality completely shines through. I really feel like I know him better than most of the Liyue and Inazuma girls, all of whom had longer archon storylines dedicated to them.
Kaveh's background is the perfect recipe to make a villain lol. Dude's kind-hearted, is always trying to do the right things in his moral view, but is almost always punished, got scammed or become a laughing stock. I'm not surprised if Hoyoverse has thought of that script before. All it takes is one bad day, as the Joker said
No... that doesn't sound very plausible. He never does something good in order to receive something. So him getting "punished for being good" doesn't make sense. Not to mention... falling for an obvious scammed because you're too naive and gullible is a you problem.
@@EsraaAMadoh yeah and that's obviously a problem You shouldn't hesitate to feed the poor. You should hesitate to blindly trust transactions and deals like that
So yes and no. He have enormous guilt regarding his father's death, he thinks he's responsible for it, his mother loved him and her husband very much but because kaveh looks like him she was sad looking at kaveh remembering her husband, she was an architect just like kaveh btw, so after some times she left sumeru and married someone in Fontaine, kaveh don't want to disturb her life there and bring back bad memories even if he misses her.
Kaveh is literally so sweet and kind... I love that about him. And from this, I get the vibe he is somewhat a people pleaser. He worked himself to death and all he get is being scammed, being bullied by Alhaitham, stuck in a huge debt cause f Dori-
Kaveh is really interesting to me since he's one of the few characters whose ambitions clearly get them in trouble. There's others that also run into trouble (Heizou, Xingqiu, Chongyun), but they're not brought up as often and as clearly as Kaveh. I am studying architecture, one of the things they tell you is that your idea and the client's won't be the same. Kaveh going out of his way to make sure the vision he has is perfected and being picky on what he works on is definitely not something you should be doing in the field, but Vision bearers in Genshin are absurdly determined. He's meant to be this way, and despite it actively hurting him.... He just wants to create art. I respect it tbh.
My theory is that he got carried away while designing the palace, and went well over the budget, but didn't want to change it after because of how beautiful it was. It'd make sense for him to care more about the art than the budget. So, Dori accepted to let him pay for all the extra stuff off-pocket, and lent him a loan so he could afford it
According to his story, he was 70% of the way done with building the Palace of Alcazazaray when the Withering destroyed all their progress. Dori was ready to call off the project, but Kaveh was determined to finish it-given that this project is one of the only projects that he is allowed to fully be creative in-and asked Dori to give him a chance, which she did. She ended up finding 30% of the project, while Kaveh funded the other 70%. The Palace of Alcazazaray turned out to be a huge success, but he suffered major losses in the process, bankrupting him. As a non-expert in these types of things, I assume that after the Withering destroyed the original Palace of Alcazazaray, the contract between Dori and Kaveh was terminated. And given that Kaveh was the one who wanted to rebuild it, he probably wasn't paid. And in his mind at the time, it was probably all okay since this project had become more than just a simple commission for him. It had become his Magnum opus, his dreams, all his wisdom and ambitions formed into a single thing. Even after his bankruptcy, he still does not regret his decision, and even got his vision because of his.
@@user_3460 The reason Dori made Kaveh pay so much for the rebuild was because he insisted on building it where he wanted it, and the location he chose ended up being the site of a Withering, and after it was destroyed she was just gonna cut her losses and leave until he basically begged her for a second chance. I assume the palace as it exists now is where Dori wanted to put it.
i saw an architect explain why kaveh might be in debt on twt, a common contract is setting a price on building a certain area. say the roof was 10M, whether the final price of the roof became 8M or 12M, only 10M will be paid in the end. this contract could be abused by dori as she knows he wants the palace to be magnificent, so she could set the price for a lot lower and have kaveh pay out of pocket for the rest.
Grand sage is a position right after the archon in Sumeru, and as Nahida says Kaveh's vision for "what it means to be a nation of wisdom" is almost spot on... I REALLY think Kaveh should be the next Grand sage. But as he is emotionally driven, put the scribe as his leash... Sumeru could really develop in a good direction tbh
@@Hhhh22222-w bold of you to assume that the shippers like them cuddly fluff soft hugging each other. We do. But we like them bullying each other more too. Lovingly.
Well they are the Kaeya and Diluc of Sumeru. The difference being that Kaeya is not anywhere close to the rationality of Alhaitham which is good cuz we'll love him for his sweet talking and flirting and Diluc is a literal Tycoon and one of the richest person in Mondstadt and Teyvat unlike Kaveh who's in debt.
@@cvxeene well from rarity pov then yea. But for me it's Alhaitham=Kaeya and Kaveh=Diluc. Because of their similar weapon types (if you've seen Kaveh's leaked gameplay footages) and also because both parties (Diluc and Kaveh) get annoyed by the other party (Kaeya and Alhaitham) and this other party likes to tease them and mess with them too.
True, their dynamic is just hilariously amazing. It doesn't matter if one sees it as platonic or romantic, once there's a scene where the two of them are featured, you know it's gonna be fun and enjoyable to watch
My theory how Kaveh go into debt: So Dori hire Kaveh to build the palace through her assistant. He never meet Dori before. And remember a lot of people think Dori is a male not female. So later on she can lend Kaveh money to complete the palace and he can't get the money from the assistant bc he has already accept the price before building. Kaveh probably think the palace need sth more to be perfect but don't negotiate with the owner and want to improve the palace himself bc customer's smile is more important than money (from his logic). P.S: Money can't buy anything but it can buy most thing.
I'd say the palace was a project Kaveh wanted to do - his magnum opus and he didn't get akademia funding so he sought a private sponsor and found dori. She lent him the money for the project but demanded a huge return, not necesserily malicious, she could've warned him and he could've just not cared enough to read the deal she offered, because the art was more important to him than the property and money. Then as a compensation for the return of the loan, she got kaveh's savings which were not enough and the palace itself leaving him broke. This is literally the only explenation that I can see for the situation.
@@GiantBUThead yeah but if now Dori is the owner, shouldn't it pay back a lot of the rent? The loan is used for build the palace so the palace should have equal value to the loan ( -if not more bc of the price of Kaveh work, i know he don't take money for his work but he is popular and his work is popular therefore the palace value should be higher than its actual value- ). He just need to pay the interest. And the only way to how Kaveh still in debt now is that the loan has high interest mean that time to call Yanfei. Also mean that Dori still evil for loan at high interest and you can't convince me the other way
God,Kaveh is such a sweetheart, yet the society around him gives him a lot of shit 90% of the time. I do fear that one day,he’s gonna do a 180 personality change because he can’t handle being kind-hearted anymore. I just want to give this man a hug :’(
Dori did say she "SECRETLY" lent Kaveh money. Chances are Dori and Kaveh had a set budget for the build but Kaveh when designing his "Magnum Opus" went way over it and decided to loan money just to see his vision come true.
I love Kaveh and find him so relatable. I am an architect too, and I am emotionally driven most of the time, except for my anger, haha. I don't think this is bad, and I find so much humanity from him. Al-haitham's words are not wrong, but sometimes I am just like Kaveh, following too much on our feelings, ended up with trouble or lost. However, never regret for the good thought and act. Like what Kaveh said, I do it because it makes me happy, so simple as it is. I couldn't wait to get him to join my team.
When the Dainsleif Archon Quest in Sumeru is released tomorrow along with the Story of Dehya Quest and the Windblume Event in Mondstadt please discuss all of the Lore
1:20 i heard some businessman has this system where, they would allocate a huge amount of money to architects, and would entrust them to build something. The architects would have full control of that money to design the building, pay for the material, the workers, and anything else. Whatever money is left is taken by the architects as extra payment. But if they didnt manage to build it within the allocated budget, they would've to cut their own profit or... lend some. idk if this system truly exist, but i've heard of it being implemented
this is true..it does happen..i just don’t know what it’s called *exactly*.. but first the builders will quote a price and estimated timeframe for the client.. if they agree, some form of initial payment is given and the builders get to work.. the client pays the agreed price, and the builders get profit (or debt, depending on how they performed)..
iirc there was a physical between Haitham and Kaveh at the tavern, Kaveh sent the tavern new cutlery for the ones they destroyed and it’s implied that Haitham went to buy him a crate of wine as an apology. Ended up being 10 crates before Kaveh accepted his apology lol
am studying to be an architect myself in the future so i find kaveh easily relatable, especially the broke and working ourselves to death part😂 having al haitham as his roommate makes it even harder for him but their dynamic is so funny, feels like a breathe of fresh air tbh
Kaveh kinda reminds me of Venti lol, with his personality and views on freedom and helping others. He is also in debt, and Venti is always borrowing money from the traveler and others for drinks at the tavern lol
man kaveh is so likable & interesting to me, I rly wish we got to meet him in the story & know abt him more often. a bit of a bummer since he's 4 star we won't get his own story quest probably, hope his hangout comes out soon. I'm actually very interested to hear abt his thoughts. ever since that nahida voiceline I want to know what that exactly means & know him more
I. Love. Kaveh. So. Much. He is such a nice person, super smart, great at his job (though he pushes himself too much), has an open heart, and his own dreams and wishes. I. LOVE. KAVEH. SO. MUCH.
The more I learn about him, the more tempted I am to pull for him regardless of how his skill set turns out. At first, most of my interest in him was due to his interaction with Alhaitham. But now, he’s grown on me 😄
Also, funny story is that in Alhaitham's "About Tighnari" He doesn't mention Tighnari a single time, and says Kaveh like 5 times. Technically, the voiceline is just: Oh yeah Tighnari is a cool guy. Anyways Kaveh-
kaveh reminds me of a bird in paradise. beautiful, vibrant, brimming with life. you can see through his appearance too how it contrasts so starkly with alhaitham.
Considering how Kaveh is going to be playable soon, why don't you make a video analysis Kaveh's and Alhaitham's relationship. I always find their relationship quite amusing and it's such a shame that many people tends to misinterpret it as hatred. Plus the fact that part 3 of Alhaitham's story quest which centered around their relationship, Pride And Prejudice is named after a famous romantic novel is pretty funny too me
The tone used is considerably stronger in EN dub compared to the other dub, especially CN. Most people who use EN tend to think they hate each others, while CN/JP/KR is more like casual bicker between close friends.
well pride and prejudice was most definitely not about kaveh or even alhaitham, it was siraj who was too self confident in his idea even tho it had a lot of holes (pride) and siraj was driven by hate for alhaitham for rejecting his project (prejudice) but yea i agree that alhaitham and kaveh definitely dont hate eachother as much as its made out to be
@@NaMe-zg9qs But that part wasn't about Siraj, it was only about Alhaitham's and Kaveh's relationship and not to mention, the relationship between Alhaitham & Kaveh and the male & female protags of the novel are exactly the same so it can't be a coincidence as well
my guess for the pride and prejudice is like alhaitham being prideful abt himself (retaining his acting grand sage salary even after he steps down, _looking down(?)_ on kaveh for not being able to pay his rent), and kaveh having prejudice about haitham (asking traveller if they are paid actors off the assumption that haitham has no friends) if anyone has other interpretations I'm interested to know as well
Kaveh's character for me is more acceptable than Alhaitham, imagine have a friend that always careless about surrounding, he can be so annoying and boring, also saying art is momentary and something that can lose its reason is not based
Would that make him Conny? 😏 . . . ... . . . . . .. .. . .. . In case some one don't get my joke. Cute and Funny= cunny 😭 Cool and Funny= conny 😏 You're welcome.
maybe it’s a ningguang scenario where they decided to give us a great character for basically free. because the only other (currently) playable dendro males are 5 stars
My head cannon is that dori initially paid him to construct the palace but seeing kaveh so passionate abt architecture and want nothing but the best for this project, the budget gets so high that the initial payment won't covers anything and, by the end Dori tricks him by lending mora for his "magnum opus" forgetting that the palace is for Dori herself.
so, not mentioned here but alhaitham's character story also mentions that he sees kaveh as an equal genius and a mirror but with a different perspective that he can reflect around to understand the world better. alhaitham may be Like That but kaveh absolutely is only around because alhaitham wants him around "As far as Alhaitham is concerned, Kaveh is a familiar face, similarly lacks familial attachments, and is the polar opposite of himself as a scholar - that is to say, an excellent mirror. Human vision is limited, but it can be perfected through the presence of another genius. Taking this opportunity, Alhaitham will be able to observe other aspects of this world and thus understand more things that may have otherwise been unfathomable."
it would be interesting to see if kaveh was included in the strategy meeting for freeing nahida from the sages. he would probably be the most passionate in helping the archon and would probably see him agree with alhaitham
Genshin loves to use themes from smaller parts to hint about the larger secrets, I think Kaveh might represent the sustainer fo heavenly principles being in debt to the sovereigns for creating Teyvat as we know it now
I am basically Kaveh in real life but i just love Alhaitham, he is a real complex character, i dont get it why a lot of people hate him so much, i think that they have to know him better cause he is so relatable. Also the friendship between the two is totally messed up by english translation, in chinese they sound really soft and they just bicker like friends, there s no hate between the two
As a designer, I feel like I’m very much like Kaveh in regards to the emotional relationship with art and his emotional reasoning. Even though we won’t know what his character is like for another 6 weeks or so, I feel like he lacks some common sense and self-awareness
Nahida describes him "has an almost-perfect grasp of what it truly means for Sumeru to be a Nation of Wisdom" I think the culmination of wisdom is by being selfless. He actually reminds me of Buddhist myth The Moon Rabbit. Tl;dr a hare tried to sacrifice itself by jumping to the fire to feed a famished old beggar as it has no food to offer. In an extreme case, being selfless could mean self-sacrificing, as one put others needs before oneself in a pure attempt to help others (Let's not talk about consequences of such action as it could lead to many assumptions). Kaveh does this a lot. Kaveh tried to help everyone he can reach, who he can personally help rather than grandiose ambition to end world suffering or such. The 'almost' part probably due to him being too emotional at times (all the time when Al-Haitham involved). Wisdom also correlates a lot with making decision with a clear mind and calm heart, like Haitham always does. I think in the perfect world, Kaveh could be the embodiment of wisdom with a little bit of Haitham in his personality and vice versa.
The more I know about Kaveh, the more I like him. As a photographer, I completely understand his way of looking at the world. Not to say there aren't hyper logical and capitalist photographers/artists out there. But I greatly enjoy hearing about his passion for his craft over everything else. That aside, I can't say I didn't initially view their relationship as a veiled passionate gay relationship.
My guess is Kaveh isn't the kinda person to bother reading fine prints. I mean, why would anyone consciously build a palace for someone on LENT money that he has to pay back? Adding the situation withAlhaitham's house, it just gives me the impression that Kaveh's the kinda guy who just presses 'Accept all' without reading the terms and conditions.
One thing I like about this channel is that as soon as the video starts we jump into the context rather than an intro or something else. Great content as always! 💜
i read somewhere (can't remember where, some youtube or book in-game), the project both Kavah and Alheitham work on is about something like pre-construct house&roof building. if it's true maybe it can got a lot of builder lost their job and make him want to take responsibility by hire them to be his worker on Dori's palace, paid them with his money from Dori and got himself broke asf***. i think this conjution really match his personallity. ps.sorry for my bad english.
If that's how Nahida describes Kaveh, then Kaveh has more potential to become the Grand Sage of the Akademiya. It may be the reason why Alhaitham did not also accept the position.
I mean, it's kinda obvious that Kaveh didn't make the palace for Dori, but rather wanted to make it as his Magnum Opus. This put him into so much debt that Dori claimed the building to cover the cost, and that it didn't cover all of it, hence why he's still in debt. "Without Dori as a benevolent benefactor Kaveh would not be where he's today" is Dori straight up saying he wouldn't be in extreme debt if not for her, lol.

You might be into something
@@Sacration my moms had lots of projects turn out less than perfect because clients decided to use cheaper labour, materials or just straight up change the design themselves (which is illegal) I think kavehs personality is very driven by his passion and emotions and he couldn't let a price tag get in the way of his vision. I respect him for that, but Alhaitham is right to be annoyed with him, if my mom did the same thing I'd probably have ended up in an orphanage

I think what Nahida meant is that Wisdom does not equal knowledge/intelligence, wisdom is life, wisdom is learnt from experiences and you have to actually live through a moment to fully understand it and even if you live through it you might not understand everything, it's something you can't learn from books. Kaveh is kind and lives for his dreams, when his life wilts one day, he'll probably be contented, because there won't be regrets, thus he is wise for living his life to the fullest so that there's nothing to mourn about when he eventually gets old
Yeah wisdom is hard to explain and there are as I believe it many forms of it, Nahida probably meant the humane kind of wisdom

Lol, doesn't Dehya herself literally describe Alhaitham as being "snooty"?
I think it's a nice message
and lets not forget that we would have done the same thing

Kaveh is literally so sweet and kind... I love that about him. And from this, I get the vibe he is somewhat a people pleaser. He worked himself to death and all he get is being scammed, being bullied by Alhaitham, stuck in a huge debt cause f Dori-
Oh he is 1000% a people pleaser, though he also takes into account his own emotions too...his wallet though...not that much
Kaveh is really interesting to me since he's one of the few characters whose ambitions clearly get them in trouble.
So, Dori accepted to let him pay for all the extra stuff off-pocket, and lent him a loan so he could afford it
Woah, this would make so much sense 😮

My theory how Kaveh go into debt:
So Dori hire Kaveh to build the palace through her assistant.
Good theory considering not many people know who is the lord of the palace

So long story short, Kaveh is a kindhearted fool who deserves better :")
1:20 i heard some businessman has this system where, they would allocate a huge amount of money to architects, and would entrust them to build something. The architects would have full control of that money to design the building, pay for the material, the workers, and anything else. Whatever money is left is taken by the architects as extra payment. But if they didnt manage to build it within the allocated budget, they would've to cut their own profit or... lend some.

@@nehan_721 I don't play in EN dub but I do know about that
well pride and prejudice was most definitely not about kaveh or even alhaitham, it was siraj who was too self confident in his idea even tho it had a lot of holes (pride) and siraj was driven by hate for alhaitham for rejecting his project (prejudice) but yea i agree that alhaitham and kaveh definitely dont hate eachother as much as its made out to be
@@NaMe-zg9qs But that part wasn't about Siraj, it was only about Alhaitham's and Kaveh's relationship and not to mention, the relationship between Alhaitham & Kaveh and the male & female protags of the novel are exactly the same so it can't be a coincidence as well
my guess for the pride and prejudice is like alhaitham being prideful abt himself (retaining his acting grand sage salary even after he steps down, _looking down(?)_ on kaveh for not being able to pay his rent), and kaveh having prejudice about haitham (asking traveller if they are paid actors off the assumption that haitham has no friends)
if anyone has other interpretations I'm interested to know as well
Kaveh's character for me is more acceptable than Alhaitham, imagine have a friend that always careless about surrounding, he can be so annoying and boring, also saying art is momentary and something that can lose its reason is not based
As an artist he kinda right though😭
As an artist, I agree, he is correct💀
He's just blunt and do things his own view
Alhaitham is literally most of my friends and me, kaveh is one of my friends that we bully a bit for being naive but still love.
Oh, i know that why i don't have so many friends, bcs I'm literally can relate with Al-haitham.
Fun fact
Kaveh came from persian name Kaveh
Which also has a legend of kaveh the blacksmith which has a really good story go check it out :)
Kaveh really is a strong guy that he hasn't given himself a stress headache from all he's been through
Kaveh situation is too real it's sad. Still turns out very beautiful because he has a lot of amazing people around him.
Man, I admire this character.
I'm a male who rarely pulls for husbandos, but I still want to get Kaveh. He seems so cool and funny (to mess with)
Based
Not so based but pretty based, pull for men now!!1!1!1
Would that make him Conny? 😏

Cool and Funny= conny 😏
You're welcome.
He'll be free I assume since we're getting weapon in 3.5
hi, male
"you'll have to blame that on my financial freedom"
man, alhaitham really smacks on his crippling debt.
Kaveh deserves to be 5 star
maybe it’s a ningguang scenario where they decided to give us a great character for basically free. because the only other (currently) playable dendro males are 5 stars
kaveh and i are the same fr, we're both struggling art students 💪 he has a heart of gold i love him so much
My head cannon is that dori initially paid him to construct the palace but seeing kaveh so passionate abt architecture and want nothing but the best for this project, the budget gets so high that the initial payment won't covers anything and, by the end Dori tricks him by lending mora for his "magnum opus" forgetting that the palace is for Dori herself.
so, not mentioned here but alhaitham's character story also mentions that he sees kaveh as an equal genius and a mirror but with a different perspective that he can reflect around to understand the world better. alhaitham may be Like That but kaveh absolutely is only around because alhaitham wants him around
"As far as Alhaitham is concerned, Kaveh is a familiar face, similarly lacks familial attachments, and is the polar opposite of himself as a scholar - that is to say, an excellent mirror. Human vision is limited, but it can be perfected through the presence of another genius. Taking this opportunity, Alhaitham will be able to observe other aspects of this world and thus understand more things that may have otherwise been unfathomable."
Kaveh is such a sweetheart, I love him so much. Totally getting him and putting him in my teapot.
it would be interesting to see if kaveh was included in the strategy meeting for freeing nahida from the sages. he would probably be the most passionate in helping the archon and would probably see him agree with alhaitham
we literally need Kaveh's hangout quest~ we need to know more bout him~
What Haitham said about him buying those keychains or whatever it was 😭 I kinda sobbed like Kaveh my baby
Genshin loves to use themes from smaller parts to hint about the larger secrets,
I think Kaveh might represent the sustainer fo heavenly principles being in debt to the sovereigns for creating Teyvat as we know it now
To be honest, he kind of looks like a unusual hilichurl with his suit case. I can’t unsee it though…
my heart is aching for him :< he's so underrated too..
I love how Kaveh and Alhaitham argue it makes me laugh everytime.
My own morals align with Kaveh really well which is why I find it really hard to accept alhaitham's absolute logic
I am basically Kaveh in real life but i just love Alhaitham, he is a real complex character, i dont get it why a lot of people hate him so much, i think that they have to know him better cause he is so relatable. Also the friendship between the two is totally messed up by english translation, in chinese they sound really soft and they just bicker like friends, there s no hate between the two
After watching this vid I think Kaveh seriously deserves a hug & pats on his back not some cold & apathetic treatment from his former classmate
As a designer, I feel like I’m very much like Kaveh in regards to the emotional relationship with art and his emotional reasoning. Even though we won’t know what his character is like for another 6 weeks or so, I feel like he lacks some common sense and self-awareness
Nahida describes him "has an almost-perfect grasp of what it truly means for Sumeru to be a Nation of Wisdom"
I think the culmination of wisdom is by being selfless.
I feel like Dori and Nahida are the only ones who appreciate his love for art ❤😂
awwwh kaveh is so kind ❤❤❤
One thing I like about this channel is that as soon as the video starts we jump into the context rather than an intro or something else. Great content as always! 💜
Kaveh looks like a Disney Prince. He looks like he is from Fontaine or Mondstadt.
alhaitham was really tryna argue with an interior designer about how to design the interior of his home 💀💀💀💀💀
Saving up for just....one Kaveh. Hoyo, ples mercy... :') and good luck y'all!
I’m so excited for Kaveh! I can’t wait to pull for him along with the new lore coming to Genshin!
i read somewhere (can't remember where, some youtube or book in-game), the project both Kavah and Alheitham work on is about something like pre-construct house&roof building. if it's true maybe it can got a lot of builder lost their job and make him want to take responsibility by hire them to be his worker on Dori's palace, paid them with his money from Dori and got himself broke asf***. i think this conjution really match his personallity.
ps.sorry for my bad english.
If that's how Nahida describes Kaveh, then Kaveh has more potential to become the Grand Sage of the Akademiya. It may be the reason why Alhaitham did not also accept the position.
Kaveh is such an angel 😇 💓 I can't
One more thing, Kaveh still think that Al haitham is the one who kick out Azar for the grand sage seat
No matter what Kaveh will be my second favorit Dendro person after Tighnari!!!
All i understand: angry secretly nice when alone gay cou- roommates. Roommates
I love this man 😭🫶💖
Not gonna lie, I like Kaveh much more than Al Haitham (reason I skipped Al Haitham) I wanna get Kaveh so I hope he comes home soon~
He is basically created to be Alhaitham's cp. A pity since he is wonderful on his own, only to be reduced to nothing by fans just for the sake of pairing him with Alhaitham.
the fact that we know more about kaveh than baizhu that was in the game since 1.0, i'm so.. 💀
My theory is that kaveh couldn’t pay back the money for the palace to Dori, so she took the palace as payment instead
He's so precious. Finally my personality in Genshin flesh. Albedo must welcome painfully my new main. Kaveh for bloooooom!
i would die for this man’s hangout quest
Well tbh, dori is one of my most hated character in genshin because of kaveh's case... Eventho I'm not his simp
Just hoping for him to be a shielder for my Al
I hated Dori since the start (her goofy ass design made me mad)
