Fr, it's a work of art. This channel and his covers came up on my UA-cam recommendations, I play totally different stuff but this is amazing work bro. I would love to see you play some Meshuggah riffs on a 6-string bass, I bet with your talent you could write a mean ass and vile cover of a Meshuggah song
And btw I love your psychedelic visuals at the end of this covers, I'm a new subscriber but I hope you keep adding those visuals. Are they a normal thing on your channel
ty for the comment dude, i really appreciate it, sadly i dont own a 6 string bass, but ill still cover Meshuggah for sure, im doing a weekly riff from them, so if u want to suggest one riff/song u like feel free to ask!!
@@carloscordobes_ 🤣🤣I bought a bass a few weeks back and im learning this song, im struggling with the second half of "that riff". Such a satisfying song to play
freaking awesome cover and amazing bass tone. Hard to beat the tone of any Warwick. I love that Twin J in the Musicman sweet-spot. Totally subbed to your channel because of how perfect this is.
Ugh, so GOOD! Well played. I’m primarily a guitarist and have a question: with bands like Meshuggah, where the guitars are generally tuned very low, does the bass continue to be an octave lower than the guitar? Or does the bass match the pitch of the guitar to create an even more massive wall of sound? Thanks!
hi, when the guitars play the 8th string, tuned in F, you can play the song with a 4 string bass, tuning half step up, when they play the 7th string (A#), the bass has to play with the 5th string, ty for the comment!!
@@carloscordobes_ Man i guess i should have thought of that before asking you haha! I've got a couple deftones drum vids that would make a cool collab, some Tool as well. Devin Townsend, Sleezy electronic lounge vibe stuff, i'm all over the place musically.
ty dude!! i actually have the same song cover with the pick, but i wanted to try the sound with the warwick, but somehow i tried with fingers and it sounded pretty sick
awesome cover mate. quick question. To which F note did you tune? the F that's lower than de B on a 5 string base? or the F thats one semi tone higher than then an E standard tuning? also which string guage? thanks
in most Meshuggah songs, the F in the bass is half step up from the standard tuning, but there are some songs from "Inmutable" the bass lower the 5th string to F0. The gauge i use on the Warwick is 40-95 from Ernie Ball. Thanks for the comment!!
Do you tune up 1 semitone or down 11? I've always curious how they tune live. Great cover, sounds awesome. Just saw them live last month, you nailed it.
hi, for this song (and most of them) the tune for 4 string bass is 1 semitone up (F-A#-D#-G#), in the case of 5 strings, one semitone down for the 5th (A#). Ty for the comment!!
bass sounds gnarly as hell
yep, nice sound tbh

That pop of the finger style fits SO much better with meshuggah than the tone with a pick from other bass covers I've seen, sick cover.
Im agree, ty for the comment!!

thank you!!
Very well played my friend! I love your bass sound!!🎸
ty 🫂🤜🏻🤛🏻
The only Warwick bass that I would get from them. Sick.
The masterman with that pickup configuration, brass nut and unique preamp, 1995, a beast that only few people know
That shit is CLEAN, good job man!
yeah, very sharp tone, ty dude!!
Great cover! Damn, those slides add so much to the feel of the songs. I really like that
Yeah, ty for the comment!
Love the tone for this kind of groovy riffing. Sounds really great! :)
ty dude!! ❤️❤️
This song slaps! Love meshuggah! Great camera work and superb playing. Bass seems to oven get overlooked. Its almost the major player for that group
Agree, very important member, ty for the comment bro ❤️❤️
Awesome sound and well played!

@@carloscordobes_ right...so the bass is basically tuned to the same pitch as the guitars are. good to know!
indeed
I think your username has a typo... 😂 Good stuff!
xD, ty dude!!
I love that bass, do they still make those models in a 5-string?
hi, yes, there are some models in 5 strings, i dont know if they exist with this pickup configuration tbh, but for sure for PJ/JJ configurations.
I’ve only seen shaggy and scooby dig in that hard

What’s the tuning for this song on a 4 string?
half step up (F-A#-D#-G#)
So their Baselines are NU metal bands Guitarlines
I dont see any Nu Metal bro xD
Pitch shifted?
5 stars
Nah bro, just the standard tuning half step up (F-A#-D#-G#)
