- In this game of Civ 6, we’ll be playing Egypt in our latest Civilization VI A to Z challenge. The mission? To play a game where we expand across the entire Nile, turning wasteland desert into fruitful, rich lands - all whilst harnessing the power of floods.
Trust me - The floods in this game get absolutely CRAZY. You’ll be amazed by just how good they get later on!

1000% agree with this. With Apocalypse mode and multiple different districts, you can get bursts of yields every turn. It's fun and crazy!

So with my run of this, I used Got Lakes to get a very large amount of rivers. Had 8 food tiles and a 13 pop capital before the start of the medieval era. Went owls as well and raked in those suzerainties.

I love civilization expanded. It is like a total conversion.
But your chosen map is awful. Nile without floodplains? Random rivers with floodplains to the Red Sea? No Nubia or Arabia?

Civ Ex Egypt can become unstoppable if you have a lot of floodplains. They gain +1 food, production and gold on floodplains *every time* they flood, on top of any fertilization they'd get otherwise. And yes, the soothsayer from Apocalypse mode *does* trigger the ability.

Monopoly culture victories have always been my favorite: my best game was a TSL large earth game where I settled most if not all of North and South America as Spain and traded back with Europe, great stuff

Expanded civs is practically a must when I play civ now; it's so good!
Really good mod! I love going through and seeing all the changes, some great ideas
I wish Egypt had the ability for builders to build a "pharaohs tomb" tile improvement in the ancient/classical era. The improvements are hidden until archeologists discover them in later eras, and builders can in the mean time build other improvements on those tiles. When discovered by an archeologist they could get crazy yields/tourism.
A delayed inprovement would be so cool!

One fun thing I'm now tempted to do with Egypt is to fire up the Civ Blitz machine to set them up with the civ and leader abilities as they are, but an S-tier unique unit and infrastructure from other civs...

Thinking Lavra/War-Carts. Sets up the overpowered Monumentality rush even better than Russia (because you now have a second ancient era +4 and great barb-clearing powers), or you can just claim land violently instead.
Alternatively, if confident enough in the early game without an early UU - Diggers. Pair with the Grand Master's Chapel and Lavra faith...

I only play with civ’s expanded because even though everyone is overpowered, the game speed feels natural for me on standard speed because everything is just a little faster but not as fast as a quick game. It also just balances all of the civs to be on par with each other. Also I just love yields and abusing mechanics to skyrocket them so it’s the perfect mod for me. Easily my favorite
Civ Expanded with historic ages mode is a lot of fun = )
@@UrsaRyan yes!! I’m a huge fan of cities dropping like flies causing mass sections of the continent to turn to insurgency. So chaotic but so fun

You may not get the early wonders, however, I can def see your capital being your Mausoleum city if you were to put it where you wanted to build the Hanging Gardens before getting it stolen from you

This makes me think that there’s some feature that gives AI +1000% production to wonders that you’re building or something.
The A.I calculates how many turns its going to take for you and if theirs would be faster, it places it down. You need chops or great persons boosts to mess its calculations because the A.I only takes in account the city production per turn
Whatever reason the AI gives, it's very, very annoying and I dislike it!
@@UrsaRyan another nice way its to have a bunch of empty trade routes waiting and then going for production routes after 2 turns or so.

Ursa it’s a restart. Civ expanded Egypt you want floodplains more than resources tbh. The yields it gives from a single flood, is bonkers. Especially if it’s in the capital, and a lucky early flood = easy couple of wonders.

I want to see a mod where cities that are on or adjecent to a trade route get bonus production or other resources
Some of the civ expanded civs do this a bit - I know Carthage gets great people points for traders passing through cities

Just an FYI and i sorry how this may come off, but It's pronounced "Marê nostrum" I love language and this seems like a genuine mistake.
I have so much fun with Egypt and dominate the world by her. I know it’s your opinion, but i don’t think Egypt is THAT suck she need a rework btw.
Civ 6 is not hard to win, any Civ can win, but Egypt is definitely one of the weakest civs
