I’m having a problem like this on my mk7 golf gtd 2.0 64plate 6 speed. Is it the same place as yours in the video? Great video and you made it look simple enough even I could do it.
I dont know but it sounds like to good to be true. What change would it do for the hydraulic system. I am startled. I would love to know if someone actually fixed the problem with this trick. Appreciate the feedback.
@How2FixIt1 thanks having issues with clutch had new clutch kit over 12 months ago 2nd slave and a new master cylinder and still doesn't feel right, this might be worth a try. Thanks
Does this apply to a clutch pedal on a vw touran 6 speed that is staying very low , nr the floor . Note the clutch has been slipping a little also .!? Thanks for the video info .👏✌️
If the end of the gearbox looks the same yes. If the clutch is slipping though, I would have thought it was the clutch that’s worn. How many miles has it done?
I drove 1.9tdi 5 speed manual and after puting it in second gear the clutch pedal stuck on the floor, and then the clutch pedal was unable to disengage the clutch, and it felt like you discribe in this video, is it likely that it's this issue or rather broken clutch.
@@How2FixIt1Ok thanks for your response, I drove it somehow to mechanic and he said it's probably the clutch itself, hydraulics seemed fine to him, I hope that clutch replacement will help
There is a link in the description. Alternatively I believe I have a kit with seal that I can list on eBay. I need to check Monday though. Just let me know.
Helpful video. Thank you for taking the time pal.
(I'd loose the music.😂)
Thanks for your comment. Advice received. Cheers.

It should be. Just remove the arch liner and look at the end of the box. It should look the same. Good luck and thanks for your comment.
Thank you for quick reply. You say in video that the new shim is fitted does that mean there is an old shim to be removed?
Interesting i was about to give up with my 6 speed manual gearbox golf 5 gti

Did it work for anyone??? I have same issue. Not sure if i should do the job or not.
It helped me. But from experience I would change the seals in the pipework first. You can get a seal kit (4seals) from dealers or eBay.
hey whats the link
Sorry, I had forgotten to add this. It’s in the description now. But it here as well
ebay.us/5FqWnM. Thanks
Never knew this was an issue, interesting
Which engine, gearbox is this for. I have a 2.0tdi manual passat.
It’s the six speed 2.0tdi.

@@GWIFF... I would try a new seal kit too. Available from main dealers. It has the four seals for the complete hydraulic pipes.
@How2FixIt1 I'll have a look thanks is that for between the slave and master ? Just so I can google it
@@GWIFF... yes it is. You can also got them on eBay, but they cost more.
so not one person has posted this worked?

I wouldn’t have thought so. As far as I’m aware this is for the six speed gearbox.

I have the same problem with my pedal so I’m trying this and that cap is not releasing as easily as it did for you.
