I’m currently in a bright orange fill phase with coloring my hair because I didn’t have the time to finish it so I’m taking a break for a few days. It’s a benefit of doing my hair at home, I get to have fun with electric strawberry blonde (that’s my own description) which I would never do as a final color. Next week it will be a normal looking dark auburn, but right now I’m a curly traffic cone. So many online videos show people blonding color services, it’s nice to see content and explanations about going to browns or reds especially on prelightened hair which is a whole process.
Amazing job! I was actually in love with the strawberry blond/rose gold color you filled her to. I didn't want to see it covered up T_T But in the end the brown color was so beautiful!
Can I just say I absolutely love all of your videos? They are so informative. Filling is something that's barely covered in school. Like it's mentioned and all they tell you is you have to fill warm and just leave it at that. At least that was what my teacher did.
I am considering going back to brown from blonde...I want to do it myself at home...sadly we don't get loads of choice in the available shades here in South Africa off the shelf...so I am going to wing it.
Katie, this was EXTREMELY helpful! But I have a dilemma I need your assistance with! I do my sister-in-law's hair from time to time and recently she needed a MAJOR color correction, banding correction; she had really splotchy hair all over and contrast was from a level 8 to like a level 4, with really warm roots. It was BAD, as she started using different box dyes, different levels and doing things, unknowingly, that she wasn't supposed to lol anyway, this is pretty much exactly what we wanted as the end result. So I went ahead and did a platinum card (except the roots, only some with the really warm pigment, because she has so much) to have a blank canvas and bring her back to her natural level 6/7 dark olivey gold blonde hair. Her hair naturally lightens in parts, almost like highlights, and has a lot of dimension. So I figured this would be it and indeed, this helped us tremendously and I thank you SO so much!!! However, I did run into an issue that I didn't take into account, and wasn't aware of because I didn't do my research! So she's like pretty much 100% WHITE gray hair from the back of the ears to the front and around 70-80% gray from the crown to the neck. When I did the copper-beige color for the fill, I took it up all the way to those completely white, pigment-less roots...BIG mistake (I think) from my part because as you can imagine, even after going in with the neutrals and some ash, her roots are still VERY warm in comparison to the rest of her hair! And now I'm not sure how to fix it! Can you please help with that?! (Now that I did some research, I found out gray roots are very prone to pulling those really warm tones? Yes? Especially hers that are completely WHITE. NO yellow or gray. WHITE lol) Her hair does need to heal/restore as she did have breakage from all the damage (layers and layers, every month for about a year, of different permanent hair dyes, then now the color remover with bleach, then bleach, then permanent again, demi permanent for the gloss...) so I told her to just wait until her roots start coming in again and meanwhile she can do her healing treatments. But I'm not sure how to approach it and what will be a "permanent fix" that yields very low maintenance for the future, where we want to just touch up the roots and that's it. We love the end color of the rest of the hair and DO NOT want to change that. But those roots, which were what we mainly wanted to fix as well, all that warmth she kept getting from all the box dyes...is still present. Not nearly as bad of course, and it's at the same level as the rest, but it's just still really warm. For reference of my final color (after the fill) formula /what I had access to, really: Schwarzkopf Igora Royal 7-0 on the roots and 8-65 + 6-1 on the rest of the hair, bringing some up to the root as well for that ash from the 6-1 (which didn't do much there). And then a 7G (medium dark gold) from an Ion demi-permanent for that golden warmer gloss (in place of the Vibrance 7-0 you used). This warmth runs through about 2-3 inches before it goes into the beautiful sandy, olivey dark blonde on the rest of the hair.
Hi, thank you so much for your video and guidance! I am not a hairdresser and was still able to follow this perfectly. I changed one color up. However, it turned out great! Thank you! 😊
Very pretty! I'm not a professional but I do my own hair and I have used the combination of SKP igora vibrance 7-0 with 7-24 and 9-24. Amazing color! Looks much better with a bold toned down money piece!
Very pretty outcome but deffo still a dark blond and not what most would consider a brunette. But ofc you mentioned doing lighter for the first process :)
When you’re doing the 7-0 fill with her rinsed, wet hair in the sink at the end do you just put the product right in as is? How long did you let it set for like that?
I'm interested what happens when the hair starts to fade eventually. For example 1-2 months later, before the next appointment. Will the orange pigments become visible in this case or the hair remains brown? Thank you for the answear.
Did that color lighten her roots just a little. I believe it did. That’s the problem I’ve experienced before with that color line. Turned out really nice.
Thank you for the awesome video! I have a question. If with the 7-06 & 7-16 will end up really warm chocolate, can I tone it with igora vibrance 7-1 to cool it down?
I loove the end results! I went to my stylist for the same process and left with very very dark color with copper/ red undertones in it. I went to another stylist to see if I can get rid of the copper and go lighter and ashier overall. He said only way to fix it is to go darker at this point. 😢 Any suggestions is greatly appreciated!❤
You know, I've been blond for years and every time I have gone into a salon and asked to go brunette, they NEVER fill the hair. I even ask about it and the stylist tells me that the fill is already in the color, but I always have the feeling that they are just to lazy to do it. Thoughts?
I loved both the colours, but esp the end result. I'm fed up with my blonde highlights with the brown root regrowth. So I already knew about it taking two steps to full colour. I bought two box dyes. The first light brown. This came out good at the roots and lighter on the highlights. (I didn't realise orange would be better!) I have a second box dye in a more vibrant brown shade to apply next. I'm now wondering whether I should find an orange shade first? Oh fiddlesticks 😁 Do you recommend toners with box dyes or not?
i am inspired of your formulation. i want just a tiny bit darker and a little bit more cool-tone light brown. i am platinablond right now and wonder if the formula of filling would work good on me? i also would be happy if you could help me find a good combination for this cool ash brown.
Did you take your starting level into consideration? If you weren’t lifted to as light as her in the beginning, then I assume that can have a lot to do with your end result. If you started out darker then her your more then likely to get a darker result.
I ordered all the products some from Czech Republic 🇨🇿 and some from Toronto. If someone have the answer for the Igora vibrance 7.0 at the end of the video. I ordered Igora Vibrance 0.00 to mix with and thinking in the sink 5-10 minutes?! I have no clue, just tired to spend too much with no so pleasant results at the hair salon. I’m level 10 right now, wish me luck 😅
Great video!! Could you explain your sectioning logic? Which parts of the head should be colored first, since those pieces will have a longer processing time? I’ve found if I start from the bottom up, the crown of the head doesn’t get enough time, but if I start with the top, it might overprocess. What would you suggest?
Hi there! Thank you! I find with this colour line, since it’s not progressive it just stops after it times out! So I don’t worry about which area I start in as long as I’m applying for the full time, it doesn’t matter ♥️
@@BobbyHairStudio Oh, I see! If I’m not sure how progressive the product I’m using is, how would you recommend sectioning? In particular, with grown out roots (less processed hair at the top)?
I have a question. I have bleached hair but i havent bleached it all for over 6 months, only the overgrown dark brown roots. And i once dyed my hair purple like 2-3 months ago. Im worried because i wanted to rebleach my roots today and i did like a half of my head but it became really patchy and i became so unsure of the blond hairdye saving it. I want to color it black, because it just stresses me so much but im not sure if i need to fill my hair or not because of my condition and hair history from these 6 last months. If you could give me and advice i will be so so grateful.
That's my natural color. I'm trying to get this myself I've been doing my hair for years and I always do it good. But I'm hoping I can get this color after bleaching...... If not oh well Lol
I really don't understand why even hairstylists seem to think the one and only definition of blonde is pale yellow- blonde hair literally ranges from a level 10 all the way down to a level 6- true brunette doesn't even begin until one reaches level 5 😵💫😵💫😵💫
thank you so much. i am so tired of people erasing natural blondes. you either have to be bleached pale or yellow blonde or you get called a brunette. the package even says medium blonde (its not even a dark blonde) and yet people always call it brunette bc to them only bleach blonde exists. im a natural medium blonde but since my hair is very ashy and not yellow i get called brunette all the time. im far from being brunette... its just ashy.
yes, its far from being brown. im so tired of people thinking natural blondes dont exist. lol people got so used to bleach blonde hair that you either have bleached blonde or they call you a brunette.
What would you recommend for a medium/dark blonde kind of like a dirty blonde with yellow tones (not necessarily gold but almost) getting to an ash brown similar to what you did?!
I absolutely love the results! I'm tempted to go that shade as well. I'm tired of all of the damage pale blonde does to my hair.
Wow that final result is so stunning and natural looking and just a great color. I am amazed.

Followed this with formula’s and had beautiful results!!!!

I'm gonna say it.. you're a colour magician 💅🏽😳😌
Omg thank you 🥺😍
Omg this is gorgeous! It is like her hair has been blessed by Jesus!!!!!! Gorgeous ❤
Each of those colors was beautiful. I love your tutorials and the colors you achieve.
Thank you so much!
I never thought of filling with tbh! It must give a little more intensity to the filler and make some pretty browns 😍 thank you for making this!
It’s so amazing for filling! Also for brunette balayage toning
It likes almost like a strawberry brown If that’s even a thing but I love It!! 🤩
So pretty right?
Gorgeous end result!!

Omg 😱 it looks so healthy now w the darker shade
I'm about to have my hair professionally done for the first time ever! I'm blonde ATM and I'm going back to my natural haircolor
You got this!

Her hair looks amazing.
Fantastic job! It looks amazing...well done video too
Thank you!
Beautiful result loved the video can’t wait for the next 💖👌🏻x
Thank you! I’m working hard at the next one!

Can you do a video of when you retone her. Or could you explain what you would do for retoning
Beautiful result. 🙌❤
Thank you!
It looks amazing! The colour is so natural! Please come to the UK and do my hair! x
Thank you! Will do 😉😉😉
This is gorgeous!
Wow the snarky comments. I think the video was great. Very useful information and her hair is lovely ❤

Does it completely wash off after a few months or does it stay tinted? Is there a follow up video of the touch up?? Thanks 🙏
It fades over time. It's important to keep refreshing the colour as time goes on and each time it's refreshed, it will hold better and longer
The word copper color toner made me say yikes!!! But wow the end results gorgeous, and the shine ✨ well done

From info I have gathered get an orange or red and maybe mix it with the brown.
How much of the glaze did you use at the end please
Wow! You’re a pro!
Thank you!
Great and amazing work ! 😍
😚☺️😍
But what was the ratio for 7-0??
Looks great!
Since every color was semi permanent, does that mean it will all fade out? What if someone wants that color but permanent? Thank you 🌸🌸

i have blonde and my roots are like a level 4, can i still use the same formula?

I want that color 😭
How much 7.0 did you put ? On wet hair ?
What about this formula from the bigining 7/0 30g 7.06 30g and 7/16 20g
Beautiful 🤩
I really wanna go back to brunette:( should I try this at home?
Great job, refill pigmentation isn't easy.
👏👍
Thank you!! It takes practice for sure but I find TBH fills so nicely that I use it for all my fills now
How long did this take roughly?

Is a level five dark?
@@cheerlovatic1022 a level 5 is the first phase of brunette- it's light brown 😉
But how much of the 7-0 did you use?
I'm sorry I didn't record my measurements that time. I'm trying to do that in my more recent videos.
Can I just point out that this is not brown.. it’s a level 7, which is a medium blonde..
Can I just point out that this a professional hairdresser ☺️. Read the description box instead of trying to be a know it all
No most non hairdressers I think that would look at this and just say it’s brown! At least I would lol
That's embarrassing
Looks light brown to me.
yes, its far from being brown. im so tired of people thinking natural blondes dont exist. lol people got so used to bleach blonde hair that you either have bleached blonde or they call you a brunette.
I want to be a brunette again but only because I’m pregnant and my roots are looking so fucking ugly rn
Don’t do it for only that reason! If you love being blonde keep up with the blonde
Same lol and I’m ready to go back natural because I’ll have no time to keep up with the re growth once baby girl is here
Natural medium blonde
What level developer please.
