Thank you so much for sharing this information. I began experiencing tingling in my body last year and it affects me daily now. My doctor has been trying to diagnose the problem (which has also included a trip to an MS clinic) but the link to menopause was never discussed with me. I'm 48 this year so it makes sense that it could be related to hormones.
You are welcome Colleen. All the best x
Do you have an update? I have the exact same thing going on. :(
I’m dealing with the same feeling now also. Any update?
@@tiffanyburke2785Do you have low iron? My iron has been very low for many years, and I think I finally hit the limit on it. Low iron can cause weird tingling sensations. I have been doing better since I've been on iron supplements for 3+ months now.
I also have the same issue. I was prescribed Gabapentin to help me with symptoms.
Your hair looks so pretty! Thank you for these videos on menopause. They make me feel less crazy and explain a lot.

Havent yet found a cure .. All blood work came back neg.so really must be the meno! Just started hrt..hopefully it subsides soon .
Hi Hassina
Hope it helps! Maybe get a check up from a Podiatrist, they can check your feet to make sure there are no specific issues such as a trapped nerve.

Curious if it helped. My gyno had never heard of this as a symptom of menopause, but recommended trying the hrt. Supe

Do your feet hurt with the burning sensation? Has it gone away?
Interesting to hear this topic as I have had some of these symptoms but guess I didn’t really relate it to being a possible problem of menopause. pins and needles in the fingers when I wake up in the morning or during the night , also restless legs.
Hope the tips are helpful for you Tania!

I have tingling and hot and cold sensations :(
It`s just a pleasure to look and listen to you. I'm wondering will these strange symptoms ever end? Is there a life after menopause? Will it be a relief?
Thank you for your kind comments Ilva! Most women do find that symptoms start to ease off over time and that you can go on to have a happy and healthy post-menopause!

Wow talk about divine timing!!! I’ve been dealing with itchy hands and feet 🤯 not so much tingling but a strange itch. It has subsided now but last week it was happening on and off.
I said the same! Divine timing!♥️
Janet - I've had itchy hands and feet various times for many years - a result of allergies. (the itchiness always starts in my hands & feet and spreads.) My allergist from years ago recommended Allegra. Claritin helped me with allergy symptoms like sneezing, watery eyes, etc., while Allegra did wonders for my itchy skin. Of course, check with your doctor, but allergies might be your culprit! Lesa
@@lrb1651 Thank you Lesa! I'll def look into this
I'm the same. Never experienced that kind of itchy on my skin before. For me it's plastic, polyester and wood. I have to be careful with toilet paper, plastic bags and any wood. If touches my skin it becomes inflamed and itchy. In TK Max I bought a skin spray called Bioskin by Salcure. Suitable for Eczema & psoriasis. Takes the sting out of the itchy very quickly. This starting happening during the covid times but pre vaccinations. Very strange times. I'm 8 years post menopause so it doesn’t seem connected. All these mystery things that I can't ask a doctor about.
How does your itch feel ? I have a deep itch i cannot get to , to scratch. It is a deep scratch. Are yours like this ?
I'm 45 and am starting to have the symptoms now mostly mood based and sleep based. Eileen this is not related to tingling but I wanted to ask on the most recent video in the hope you would see it. I'm struggling with crying spells and feelings of irritation and sometimes anger. My husband understands thankfully. He suggested trying yoga and some calming teas and I tried it and I did feel slightly better. I eat very healthy and exercise daily with weight training and long walks with our dog. My question is (and my doctor can't answer this) is hypericum ok? I've read it raised estrogen and as I'm at the start of peri I'm unsure of my estrogen level. Also I have a family history of estrogen dominant breast cancer. If it does raise estrogen I'm wary of trying it.
I feel very worried Eileen about what's going to happen from here on...but your videos are very reassuring and I'm keeping positive knowing I can get through this with the love of my husband
Hi Lindsey
Fantastic to hear that your husband is very supportive; this can make all the difference!
There is no issue taking Hypericum at this point as long as you are not on any prescribed medication from your doctor. We don't have any contraindications regarding hormone levels so it is not likely to have any effect at any point.
Crying is such a common phase in the menopause and many women will experience this at some point to some degree so you are not alone here! I have posted a vlog on this and what you can do to help yourself so please do take a look. www.avogel.co.uk/health/menopause/videos/crying-fear-and-worry-whats-causing-these-emotions/

Do your research. You are your own advocate for your health and well being. The anxiety isn't normal so you are most probably suffering from deficiencies. You need to supplement those deficiencies.
i am 60 now and have for the last few years have had this problem with electric shock pains and creepy itchy feelings on my skin, sometimes it feels like im being stung by a wasp. Doctors say i have fibromyalgia with neuropathy..and offered Gabapentin but im not taking them
Hope my tips will be helpful for you!
I had all the above symptoms. After starting Usana Multivitamin, Magnecal D, Biomega and Estropro all went away. There are certain times food, clothing, oscillation of hormones can bring some minor tingling that is when I add some more magnesium and I make sure to get some before bed, which helps with sleep.
Hope you get better soon. 🙏
Please get tested for celiac disease, it causes both tingling and (for some people) severe sudden wasp-like pain in fingers. It's more common than people think and doctors seems to never consider it!
Hiya! I experience alot of tingling sensations in my scalp and even in feet. It is really annoying. Thanks for this bless 🙏 I'm not sure if this is the fibromalgya causing this
Hi Op
You're welcome. Sometimes it can be hard to differentiate between menopause and fibromyalgia symptoms as they can be very similar!

It's your hormones. Always your hormones. People look at the symptoms not the real cause. The endocrine system runs our bodies. You have hormonal receptors alm over... if you are deficient you will start to get annoying symptoms like tingling or itchiness at certain times.
Hi dear have these as well.
But who do I know which stage of menopause I am in. Havea hysterectomy 7years ago. In Feb this year I removed my ovaries. Miserable as hell
Hi Sunitha
It is much more difficult to tell if you don't have missing periods as a guide, however, if your ovaries have been removed then that will put you into a full menopause very quickly unless you've already gone through it before the operation.

I have surgical menopause and I’ve been feeling tingly on my toes, sometimes my hands, and lips. I also tend to feel jittery, like I’ve had 5 cups of coffee at once, but tired at the same time. I also have anxiety. Are all of these symptoms from my surgical menopause?
Hi Beverly
It is possible, we do know that sudden dips in hormones could trigger these symptoms. Hopefully, my tips will be helpful for you

Thank you! I have this problem in my feet. I understand that methylated folate, a B vitamin (folic acid) can really help if the problem is related to fluctuating hormones.
B Vits may be helpful so worth trying for at least a month. I would suggest a Complex rather than folic acid on it's own. A B Complex 50mg is a good general dose

What happens when you have no more estrogen? I am perimenopause had blood work done my Dr. told me that I had a reading like being post menopause…Started HRT hope that works..also my cortisol was high…any other suggestions?
Hi Claudia
Hopefully, the HRT will be of benefit for you.
You could try the herb Maca as this is sued as an adrenal herb and may help with the cortisol.

My neurologist diagnosed me with small fiber neuropathy.. After 50 these symptoms came out of no where. I’m not diabetic nor do I have an autoimmune condition.. She tells me it’s not premenopausal without checking my estrogen levels. Seeing my gyn, I’m on b12 and magnesium glycerinate…Having a skin test done next month ..😢
Hope all geos well for you Arlene

can it be like a shivery feeling? Or a flush of shovers under the skin?
Yes it can feel like this!
I have this. Overall slight tingling. Could this be related to a neck injury
Hi Tiffany
Yes, this is quite a common symptom of neck issues, might be a good idea to see a Chiropractor who can check and offer a treatment plan if needed

Could the tingling feel more like a light twitch?

I discovered my tingling feet that I could describe as quite painful, was caused by polyester. Tight jogging bottoms in particular. Really very strange. Discovered by accident. Think I'm a lot more sensitive to plastic like bags. I get very red marks and tingling pain carrying plastic shopping bags. Hands, arms etc. Not sure why. I'm post menopause.
Wow, that's interesting. Good to hear that you realised what was the trigger!

Thank sounds like cutting off circulation if tight around ankles and same with hands when carrying bags that happens with me too
@@carolynarnott5002 no that's not what's happening.
I am having the exact same experience with polyester…
I too am post menopausal and l get tingling, itchy numbing in hands & feet. Went to the doctors and did a thyroid test which came back under active. So my symptoms were traced back to the thyroid which l would never have thought. I honestly suspected it was something to do with finishing menopause & low oestrogen levels of which it wasn’t! I now have to take a thyroid hormone for the rest of my life and this has alleviated those weird sensations in my feet & hands. It may be your thyroid, it’s so worth going and getting a test done for peace of mind.
What about the face. I've had a sinus infection

How about face and head or brain, because they tingle too, thank you
Tingling on the face or neck could be caused by a trapped nerve in the neck or issues with your teeth so it may be a good idea to get a check up with a Chiropractor and your dentist for a proper diagnosis. If all is well, then you can still follow the general advice.

Can having low iron also cause pins and needles in the extremities?
Yes it can. Low iron contributes to low blood pressure which can cause pins and needles. I would recommend getting a natural iron tonic liek fluorodix to support your iron levels :)
Thank you!
Liver Pills or liver w organ pills have helped me w my anemia
Thank you so much ❤
Is numbness in legs, arms, feet a symptoms of menopause?
Yes, numbness can happen but as there could be a number of causes, it is important to get a proper diagnosis from your doctor first.

That is an indication of low magnesium. Unfortunately falling estrogen can drain the body from this mineral. Most of the population experience magnesium deficiency. B1 goes hand to hand with it as well as calcium and glutathion.
@@vhou3848 Thank you so much. I'm going to try magnesium supplements. 🤗❤
