- Ujjayi breathing is a breath technique employed in a variety of Taoist and Yoga practices. In relation to Yoga, it is sometimes called "the ocean breath". Unlike some other forms of pranayama, the ujjayi breath is typically done in association with asana practice. Yoga expert Rohini Manohar from Chennai yoga studio shows us how to do Ujjayi Breathing.

This was the BEST explanation I have ever heard of ujjayi. Short, sweet and to the point! I got it! Thank you SO much!
Said it right.
She mis explained at the beginning 😣 Ujjayi is “victorious breath” not fire breathing
Best video made to teach Ujjayi breathing. Doing just THIS breathing practice puts me in a meditative state, without needing music or guided meditation. It grounds me every single time I feel stress or anxiety.
Exactly!
@@TheYogaMasterhow long you can do that?
Ujjayi Pranayama is the victorious breath not the breath of fire which is practiced in Kundalini yoga

Hi,thanks for the video but how come there is a different ujjayi as to inhaling with a sound and exhaling through one nostril with other closed. How different are these both..Which is more useful.Regards
Great explanation :) I assume this is not something which should be done outside of the practice, is this right?
I naturally have been doing this for a decade with yoga and meditation without knowing it was a practice.
