Jordan Peterson rose to unwanted fame because of his warning against Canada then proposed Bill C-16 aka compelled speech. That was his issue, and what he was fighting against. Look where we are now? I ❤ Dr Peterson.

It is amazing how many people comment about JP and don't know this. I discovered him before C-16 fame by listening to his classroom lectures he posted on UA-cam when I was studying for my MA in psychology. He is a solid teacher and I would imagine a helpful clinician. Now in practice on my own JP has helped me articulate many thoughts and hunches I had but did not know how to express. Most of what he is saying is actually common sense. That is by no means a put down it is a compliment he can help people get in touch with their conscience and begin to forge their path that is what a truly good therapist/friend/parent does

When my kid said JP was a right-wing wacko based on the 'lobster' theory, I looked him up. I started with old college lectures of a man who loved his students, and the subject material and seemed to suffer from Aspergers. If one starts with the old college lectures, you see the smear campaign that made him what he is.

JB preaches an ethics from 40 years ago. Sacrifice and discipline will help you overcome life's challenges. Pretty much common sense back then.
However, much of the population wants to blame society for their problems and so have society fix their problems. For them, JP's solution sounds too much like work and too much like criticism of their weakness.

Peterson is necessary. He's helped so many and even if you don't agree with all his views i think he's showing the value and importance of having your own voice, making the most of what you have to offer and the persuit of learning and greater good while still muddling through the mistakes, as he eloquently does himself. All the more credit to him that he does that amidst a barrage of hate, media jobs, and some pretty vile individuals aiming to undermine or discredit him by any means possible. I was personally trolled by Dr. Peterson.
We went to a meet in greet at one of his tour locations. My wife interacted with him ahead in the line and apparently told him to “act like you like me[my wife]better than my husband.”
I now have a picture with him and he has the most stoic expression, but of course- he’s gleaming in the photo with her.
He leaned in after, looked at me, and said,” you want me to let you in on a little secret?” I turned to my wife and saw the dastardly grin on her face and that is when I realized. I was trolled by Dr. Peterson.
An experience I’ll never forget. 💀

I think Joe, and where he’s at now, is helpful to Christians. There are many people leaning towards being agnostic that are finding the good in Christianity - mostly as they’re seeing society shift with individualisation at the wheel. Having someone slowly moving down that path and giving voice to many good people that are believers, I think, gives space for consideration without it being forced, which is what some people need.

Peterson is iconic. People are seeking, but the religious organizations are so fundamentally and irreversibly corrupt, people need another structure. Peterson offers that.

Thing thing about Jordan Peterson is that he is authentic with everything he does.
"Be a good person", means many things, some of them are to be honest, or to do the best you can in any given moment etc.
The reason why so many people like Jordan Peterson is because for the majority of people seeking truth is what we do and that is why we are so inspired by people who are genuine authentic people to their core.
Which is what Jordan Peterson is.
It's so obvious to anyone that really pay attention to how desperately he just want to be of help to people and help those who struggle.
Because the weight on the shoulders of Jordan Peterson after stepping into the public light is a weight not many people would or could manage to bear and survive it.
That is why the story of Atlas and how he holds they sky on his shoulders are an Archaic Hero story.
It's that exact same weight one has to bear to do what Mr. Jordan Peterson is doing.
I'm not a believer any god or in any religion, because I believe we can conduct ourselves and be good human beings in this world without it.
But i also realize not all people have the strength and / or discipline to keep our house in order when the world crumble under our feet.
So for those people i can see how Religion serve as the light which brings them back from Darkness.

I saw Peterson in Brisbane in 2022. I was surprised when I turned up and saw that an incredible number of people there were women. Easily half. I also fell in love every 2 seconds because there were no coloured-hair weirdos (only saw 1 with pink hair) and all of them were incredibly well-dressed and obviously took care of themselves. I went there in secret, keeping it hidden from everyone I know. I still kick myself that I didn't try meeting people while there; meeting those with the same views as me. Didn't realise until then why I've felt so alone all these years. I don't know how to find these people locally, you know.

I've been following Jordan Peterson for many years now, even when he was still teaching at Uni many years ago. His evolution has been a rapid phenomenon which did not take me by surprise as I always knew of his huge potential, not only to teach and inform, but to convey profound earthly solutions as well as answers to our human nature, ie... will we be good or bad? and what are the results of our choices in life. Never met Jordan, but I feel I have a few things to teach him Biblically as I am a student of the Scriptures and have studied them all my life, which is what got me into Jordan. Thing I know for sure is that Jordan is a great and good man, and I mean "Good" in the Biblical sense.. Jesus refused to be called "Good" but what did he mean by that? Answers here.... I love Jordan Peterson like a brother, I am 70 years old.
