I always enjoy the "changing of the quilts". 💂The blue looks lovely. I'm looking forward to this year's quilt alongs. I'm starting with the leaf quilt from the Autumn Quilting book. Thanks for all your videos. I never miss one!
My grandparents were all gone before I was born, but I am sitting at my mom's kitchen table right now. I'll be 74 shortly and I've had her table table for the last 50 years! So much the heart of the home!!
I bet it's full of memories!
@@PatSloan yes ma'am! Each scratch and cut has a story!
My son would say that his grandma’s heart of the home would be the tv😂. She never liked to cook and now at 91 only uses the microwave. Even without great food and never hanging out in grandma’s kitchen, he loves to go to her little house because it is grandmas. The love is the real memory for all of the blocks. I am ready to start.
I really like the fabric you chose for your square. My Mom had me when she was 35. Her Mom was Nanny. Always dressed to the nines, even though she wasnt in the best of health. My Dads mom was Grandmom in the mountains. She was quite elderly. My fondest memories of her are her letting her hair down from her snow white bun & letting us brush it. She lived into her late 90's, outliving all but 4 of her 9 children .
Getting started watching you again! Missed watching you so much. Here's to a happy, peaceful & prosperous NEW YEAR for everyone!!!
I do have my grandma's library/sofa table.
Thank you Pat, for block Wed.. Happy New Year
Happy New Year🎉 to you and Greg. I love the quilt switch outs. I love seeing what all you put up in your house. Thanks for sharing that with us!!
Thanks so much for sharing your family history and for the tour of your home and also the quilt pattern. Thanks for all you do and all your hard work ❣️❣️🪡✂️❤️💗💓💕💖 oh and Happy New Year 🎉🎉
Ooo!!! Longaberger baskets!!! ❤❤
Good morning! I love it when you change out your quilts and show us the tour! It must be a wonderful feeling to know that you designed the fabrics and patterns for many of the pieces that you display. 🙂
1st Grandma's Kitchen block is so pretty. The livingrooms were more of the hub in my own Grandma's houses, but the kitchen is definitely the hub in my house.
I always love that you take us on a tour of your home with the changing of the quilts. Your quilts are so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Karen, From Texas
Thank you!
Your home is so beautiful with all the lovely quilts you display and your talent of creating them. I love your tours and every time you have one.
Thank you!
Hi Pat. My favourite colour is blue. I was even married wearing a blue wedding dress. Love your use of the quilts. Happy January 💙
Love how your first block turned out. The fussy cutting of those fabrics gave you a beautiful lacey look. Happy 2025 .
I love having my Christmas decorations up, but then I also love it when they are put away and the “Christmas clutter” is cleaned up. I love the blues and whites as they are fresh and calm. You have some beautiful quilts and I enjoy the tours. I have good memories of both of my Grandma’s kitchens and like most people it wasn’t about the food. Happy New Year
Thank you! I love blues and whites too!
Thank you Pat for your 5 hours of work to switch out the quilts while filming it for us! 🙏♥️ . To note that quilt beside Mr. Greg's chair coordinated nicely w it. That gift plant does look happy with its light.😊
I love this ❤ I wish I had my Grammy's kitchen table. It was a 1950s chrome and formica rectangle with two leaves. The house was built in 1930 by the paper mill where Grampy worked. Huge kitchen with an electric stove as well as the Sears Roebuck wood stove where there was always a pot of rolled oats waiting for breakfast. I miss them daily ❤
I spent a lot of time at my Grandpa's house. I have his big round, wooden kitchen table and all 5 leaves to extend it to it's max. There have been countless times and special family happenings around this table over the years.
That is wonderful!
Your house looks absolutely beautiful!! Blue quilts are so pretty.
Thank you so much!
I want to thank you for giving us measurements that do not need paper. You are a treasure Miss Pat. We are Grandparents but have no visitors. It’s just us two now. If we were in CA our boys would visit us. Our daughter here in Texas, is very busy. Thank you for keeping me quilting!
I love the blue pallet of winter. It always amazes me when you feature a season in your decor. So many beautiful quilts! Grandma’s Kitchen is starting out so well. The large star looks like a tablecloth that would be on Grandma’s kitchen table. Happy January
Thank you!
Pat “HAPPY NEW YEAR “ Your first block for Grandma’s Kitchen is adorable. Thanks for sharing your quilts. 👍❤️😊
Thank you!
❤❤❤ I always love when I see your Home is quilt!!! I want to make it too....super happy about Grandma's kitchen and 100 blocks too. love the memories too ♥️
Loved the quilt tour and Grandma’s Kitchen block 1.
Pat, I love watching you pick fabrics. It is a wonderful skill you share with us.
Love Blue and White quilts. Your house looks calming.
So Pretty Thank You! ❤ it all and jonesing on the mushroom tree. Happy New Year to the both of you! Be Well
Pat, I love your block.
Your green block is so pretty Pat. Your home looks beautiful with your gorgeous quilts!! I'm so excited to start the grandma's kitchen sew along. Thank you for your sew alongs Pat😊
Thank you!
Happy New Year 🎊
Happy New Year, Pat! I love all of your January quilts! I may have to make that snowman. He's adorable. thanks for all you do for us.
I love the quilt tours!!!
I love the green, and the block, too!
Thank you!
I love how you decorate for each season. Thanks
Thank you!
I made the Holidays Homies in the flannel. That quilt is so flawed, and the only quilt I was able to finish in 2024. I thought I would have to hide it, but, I still like it after all....When I ordered the flannel, they didn't have the gray, so I did white...First mistake. Then it was on my quilt frame for months because I was taking care of my husband who passed away in early June. I had tons of stuff to take care of and all the extensive yard work, too... I finally got to quilt it, but, had trouble every single row with my programmable set up..We think we got that problem figured out now and I got it done and bound it November. I have another quilt top ready to quilt, but, Thanksgiving and Christmas! I hope to get all my scrap tops done in short order!
Hugs Pat!
We love your blues, whites, and winter decor palette. Your home looks beautiful. We are ready to take on new projects for 2025. Happy New Year, Pat!❤ (Margaret and John)
Thank you! Happy New Year to you both!
I love the floor plan of your "little house". Thanks for sharing.
Happy New Year!! Love all your videos.
Holiday Homies always makes me smile. ❤ And that pillow!
I’m making the snowman quilt from your book. I love the way it looks in your home.
CAn't wait to start this quilt along. Going to try and cut my block before my errands.
Thanks Pat, you inspire me to do my rooms in blue too!
You can do it!
Stitching tip: I’m following the one strand of floss a day. Sitting down, working the one length of thread on a longer term project. Feels like progress, touching it every day. 👍
Love the Grandma Series. I am a GREATGREAT Grandma. 💜💜💜
I need to make more blue quilts. I have a blue & white sweater that belonged to my mom-I lost her 1.1.18. I have the nesting Sn-Ugly sweater templates from Missouri Star & will cut several large ones to use to make a wall hanging for the bathroom-yes, I have a space I can hang about a 36" square.
This is going to be beautiful with this fabric bundle.
Thank you!
I bought the book and now because of Christmas and holidays I can’t find it. Time to do a little extra cleaning. LOL
I too would love to know where the Nordic Snowflake is from…it’s beautiful. I also love when you show us how you display your quilts.
Out of print book, which I can not find anywhere. pat Sloan Celebrate the seasons. Since so many are out of print and I make no income off a reseller, I don't take the time to find them.
Very nice.
Happy New Year Pat
Thank you!
Gmorning Pat😊
Love the blues!
Thank you!
How long would you say it takes you to design a quilt block?
Thank you so much for the Grandma’s Kitchen quilt along, I’m really looking forward to it! Absolutely love that fussy cutting ❤
Beautiful block
Thank you!
Cookie jar at Grandma’s 😊
Pat, you’ve talked about the dowel rod several times but I don’t remember how the rod attaches to the door? I have mine on a hook but it’s not as stable as yours. Can you show us?
there is a string on each end and a screw in the door the string is on. I've showed that several times over the years so i don't do it every time
Where could I go to see London Town Sampler quilts! Thank you!
Hi Maryann! You can see my project page at my website or join my facebook community. All links are always in the description box under every video
Love all of your blue quilts, so wintery. I searched your website for more information on the Nordic snowflake but was unsuccessful. Could you tell me where to find the pattern? Thank you
it is in my out of print book called Celebrate the seasons that I do not find online anywhere. I am no longer linking to out of print books as there may only be one copy from a reseller and it takes me too much time to hunt around and I don't make any income off a reseller. maybe you can find a copy some where
Oh thank you for replying. I appreciate you telling me the title and I can take it from there. I did find some of your books but wasn’t sure which one had the pattern.
Pat, I found the layout post, but can't find the directions for Block Number 1. Looking forward to starting. Thanks
go to the link in the description box. it is also in the first pinned post and it is on the project page and you can just scroll my website. And in the email you signed up for. So many ways to get it
❤❤❤
What is the quilt hanger that the red houses are hanging from? Always love the season quilt turnover!
I am not sure what 'Red Houses' you saw. Everything is Blue now.
I think she means a quilt that was hanging in then”before the switch” part. It was above the bookcase beside the tall shelving unit where your Christmas quilt you cleared out for charity were. Maybe around 12:30 in the time stamp.
Also at 13:01
Every quilt I saw that i want to do, is ‘out of print’! Are you going to go to a new publisher and get them back in print?
Do you starch like Kimberly? I find it still does not eliminate the mistakes.
Where do we find the list of things needed for the Grandma's kitchen quilt?
at my website. Also at the link in today's video in the description box. Right under the DOWNLOAD is the link to the project page. Did you check there yet?
Hello I am wondering where is today pattern for the grandma kitchen?I can find the beginning layout but not today pattern the kitchen table thanks
there is a link to it in the description box under the video and at the pinned post for this video. Also you can go directly to my website to the project page. A list of block links is at the end. Enjoy!
Question…I don’t see the name of the pattern or a link for the Nordic wall hanging by the front door in the quilt tour. Can you tell me the name or where to find? Thank you!
Do you ever wash these quilts? I wanted to know how they turned out if you do.
I do wash quilts. They are fine! Have you not washed any yet?
@@PatSloan no I haven’t washed any of my quilts because it seems like I never keep them. I give them away for gifts.Beth
What happened to the Londonn quilt from Cakestand?
I am on hold, i'll get back to it. I've mentioned that a few times. It is not a priority project for me
@PatSloan I thought it was a sew-along . Must have gotten confused, thanks for replying.
