These companies on Texas need to learn from what happened with their systems in 2021. No water, no power, no heat, no moving. Lines for limited groceries stretched around the parking lots waiting for hours in temperatures we hadn't had for a decade.
@@roach951 absolutely. In Texas you can't put away summer or winter clothes because you'll need both from day to day. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 75 degrees and Monday will be a high of 50 with a low of 28 where I am. I'm sincerely hoping ERCOT is better prepared than they have been in the past. After the deadly 2021 Texas Freeze, Governor Abbott said they'd made changes and we'd never be in that situation again but ERCOT is reporting an 80% chance of blackouts if we experience another freeze like 2021. This one isn't *supposed* to be as bad. I know there are so many states that will have it so much worse than we do, so I'm just trying to be prepared and remember that it could be worse. Also use towels and move everybody to like one room and block off other rooms so that he doesn’t disperse into other areas and that it can generally be in one area
I’m in West Virginia right in the path of all that red. I don’t have a generator, but I stocked up on food and water, and am in the process of getting spare blankets washed and ready, charging electronics, and gathering essentials. Thanks so much for the fantastic and detailed forecast. I subscribed right away. Stay safe everyone ❤
God Bless! Stay safe and warm
Remember back in the olden days (the 2000s) when we all went "It's winter. It will get cold. What's on TV tonight?"
Hoping for all snow or all rain. The ice is the worst and can cause the most devastation. Glad to see your channel continue to grow, been watching since you did only Texas (even though I am in Ohio!). Keep doing what you are doing and stay grounded, and you will go far.
Prayers to all 🙏🙏❤
KCK here. As of 17:18 very eerie silence here in town, except for the occassional bark of a dog, due to everyone being off the road. Thanks to Max & the local weather teams, got my groceries ahead of the storm. Praying for everyone's safety.
Ngl i love this storm and the fact that there's a YT channel for weather kinda insane. Hopefully this turns into a career for you my man, i always loved meteorology myself and this would have been a dream job, glad it's working for you.

…at 1:31 he drew a cigar shaped UFO/drone

Thank you for an excellent update, Max. I appreciate that you only put out updates when there is a major change in the severe weather threat. This builds your reputation for the integrity we appreciate.
Pittsburgh PA here. I am so sorry for those who are getting hit harder than us. But we’re still getting our share. This storm is unbelievable. Stores were busy and rock salt is no where to be found. I work in the medical field so I still have to get to work. Last winter was a blessing g it was so mild. I a. Looking forward to spring.
same here. ice storms are the Worst. would rather have straight snow. but we didn't suffer from those hurricaines so can't complain.
And I saw in the long term this awful vortex is here until late January
Pittsburgh here to. The weather channel is only saying like 2 inches now. But my apple weather is saying 5-6 lol
That’s pretty crazy I’m 35 minutes from Pit airport in East Liverpool it was a little windy but nothing crazy we have like 4 to 5 inches back roads have been plowed but still a little covered and I just left tractor supply and they have pallets of rock salt.
@ I’m southeast of Pittsburgh. Actually about 45 minutes. I’m in Scottdale near Connellesville.. I am Westmorland county about 1 mile from Fayette county. I just usually say Pittsburgh because I’m close and people know where that is 🙂. So since I’m more south I may get a bit more snow. Either way, I feel for all of us who have to travel. Be safe!
I'm in South Kansas City, already have ice covering everything.
This is gonna be FIERCE! Stay safe y'all and God bless! ❄️🧊❄️🧊❄️

I'm a truck driver. Just came down I 35 through kansas and it's already pretty icy. Lots of accidents!

Great job Max. These twice a day updates are really beneficial to those in the effected areas. These storms seem to originate in the PNW, come across the Rockies, and then hammer the midwest all the way to the east coast. The new graphics are amazing. Sounds like you may go live tomorrow to better help those that need it most.
Praying for everyone in the path!🙏
Thank you for the update max, we wouldn’t be as prepared. Stay safe.
It’s getting cold in north Tampa! 🥶

I used to pray for heavy snow, when I lived just outside of DC, so my children could stay home from school. They were my favorite days. Then, when our grandchildren lived with us, I prayed for snow. I loved building a fire in the fireplace, and popping a movie in the VCR, opening the sofa bed and piling in for the day, while a pot of chili on the stove.

You’re a true Patriot, thanks for your knowledge 😊
I hope people take this SERIOUSLY. Power Companies cant repair power during the storm. So prepare people please.
These companies on Texas need to learn from what happened with their systems in 2021. No water, no power, no heat, no moving. Lines for limited groceries stretched around the parking lots waiting for hours in temperatures we hadn't had for a decade.
@@roach951I'm in Texas, I agree. It was really bad during that storm. They're saying this one won't be anything like that in Texas but we'll see.
@OmANnIe gosh, you blink and the weather changes...
@roach951 exactly
(But I hope the grid can keep up.)
