@@WatchGeek Are there experiments that I can perform to verify the accuracy of a radio controlled clock? If so, I would love to hear from you. Thanks again for taking time to read this! :)
Very nice. I like your enthusiasm for this technology, which, though it's no longer "new", is still an example of how science and engineering benefit daily life. Plus -- there's a pleasure in just plain love of gadgetry. Refreshing especially in these times.
Just bought the rangeman and somehow here in southern spain (Granada) it syncs perfectly with L3 (even though it's out of the range according to the range zones map). It's awesome!
It really is impressive and definitely looks cool. I have a Casio 5610 G Shock and it syncs every night at 1am. My watch takes about 2 minutes to complete the sync. I am from Ireland and receive my signal from the UK so I always get the strongest signal L3. I love my Casio.
Superb, Ive just got a used GW5610 square with this feature for £50, I live in the U.K. where the signal is strong. The technology is great. As much as I like my mechanical watches, these can't be beaten as beater, fit for purpose timepieces. Approved now for use by NASA, who needs an Omega 'Man in the Moon' now haha. Great video!
+robert bishop with all the tech Casio offers at these prices the mechanicals do seem outplayed, but there is a beauty in old fashioned gears and I personally enjoy both watch worlds very much :)

I had my 7900 next to my new 9400 and I think there was too much RF interference between the two of them. I'll try again tomorrow night, further apart, to see if that fixes the problem.
Hello, I need you to answer a question. I have two Multiband 6 watches, a Rangeman and a GW-7900. They both sync almost every night, but on the 7900 only the tiny streaks appear on the display for a bit. why? Thanks
Hi Watch Geek. Do you have any idea why my gw-m5610-1er doesn't manage to connect to the atomic time keeping? I press in the button Im supposed to, and after a while I get an "ERR" (i asume its for error?) and nothing happends. I live in Stockholm, Sweden if its to any help at all.
It should work in Sweden IF your home city is set correctly. Also just in case, watch my DIY ATOMIC AMPLIFIER video and try that technique over the night
@@WatchGeek It worked! Two days ago at 2 AM it started automatically searching, so i put it beside my window on my metallic barbell haha...and it worked :)
Strange thing, when I put my gw m5610 on the side (it's natural for this watch because it can't lay straight) it doesn't sync :(. I beleave this is all about antenna position. I am living on the 1.5 kilometer edge from german tower.
In 2 weeks I will be posting a video on increasing the reception capabilities that I discovered recently so stay tuned!! I am also on the edge of the German tower and sometimes mine sync, sometimes they don't. After using this newly discovered method they haven't had an unsuccessful sync in 4 weeks straight
i just tried this with 3 of my solar atomics (GW6900, GW-M500A/M530A) the GW-M500A/530A both synced together but 1 is 1.5s faster than the other. the GW-6900 finished sooner so it has a faster time of 15s ahead of the other pair. In the end all 3 have different times which is really odd. Not sure why there would be such a large difference in time even though in your video all 4 of your started out different yet synced together in the end.
Thanks for sharing this demonstration! I own a Gshock GW-5510. It hasn't synced in the past three days. I haven't made any adjustments to the watch and I place it on the same window sill each evening. I live in California and read in the owners manual that there may be occurrences during certain times of the year or day where syncing is not possible?
+Under The Bus thanks for watching and yes, there are so many factors affecting reception that there can be days between successful syncs. You should check the coverage map for your radio tower and see if you are within reach, but even if you are, some locations can have trouble getting signal due to different factors (buildings, power lines, mountains etc.)
+maximus10463 according to the map you should be able to get it to sync, you are far, but still within reach, try different positions in your house or apartment. Mine syncs better in a room pointing in the opposite direction to the tower, so I guess it depends on many factors
JJY simulator simulates the signal from the Japanese atomic clock making it possible for an atomic reception watch to sync using your phone. The bad thing is that the watch has to be set to TOKYO as the home time zone meaning the world times will be wrong
