There was a time where hearing 'Its a shadman piece' meant it was just going to be edgy/offensive/gory, but his reputation has changed over the last decades to 'its a shadman piece' meaning it is going to be something explicit involving lolicon, and something to be avoided like the plague. Shadbase exists in a dark corner of the net, and should remain shrouded. Its not a place people should be willing to go, and the more obscure it is from new users, the better.

This is often for better or worse. For example, we have the right to bear arms.
But we can't if we're a felon. We can't own fully automatic arms without specific permits. We can't just freely buy explosives or friggin mustard gas.
Imagine if our 2a logic was totally black and white, and anyone could just buy destructive and highly effective weapons without any sort of regulation whatsoever because "the amendment says so" we'd probably be having school flame throwings and people deploying all manner of violent weapons against rival gangs or people they don't like.
The logic that "you belive in freedom of art and expression, so therefore you must also support the creation of CP" is complete brain rot logic. Those people could not give one valid reason behind that kind of arts creation besides that it "doesn't hurt people" but they know exactly what people are using it for and why people are drawing it. And that's why people don't want it to be allowed, it has nothing to do with mindless censorship, but more about not having a society that's allowing morally corrupt behavior to continue because it "isn't hurting anyone"
And I garuntee you it is hurting people, if the people who liked that stuff didn't have access to it, it might not reinforce that fetish. And it would hopefully keep them from seeing kids in public in some kind of perverted light.

He is objectively a skilled artist but while his early work (I first stumbled upon him in the wild west era of the internet in the mid 2000s) was edge but okay, it took a sharp turn for the much more questionable after he started doing his art of Violet from the Incredibles and Ellie from Last of Us, and he truly moved WELL beyond the pale when he started drawing art of actual children. There was a time where hearing 'Its a shadman piece' meant it was just going to be edgy/offensive/gory, but his reputation has changed over the last decades to 'its a shadman piece' meaning it is going to be something explicit involving lolicon, and something to be avoided like the plague. Shadbase exists in a dark corner of the net, and should remain shrouded. Its not a place people should be willing to go, and the more obscure it is from new users, the better.
