Literally any person who has ever witnessed Bill Burr on any podcast ever.
I think it has a lot to do with the fact that Jocko actually appreciates Theo and his humor. If you listen to Jocko's podcast, you will hear him say "hitter" quite a few times. It cracks me up. But Bill Burr is a self absorbed prick who rambles to himself for hours at a time multiple days a week. Don't get me wrong, I like Burr, but him as a guest on podcasts is fucking annoying. He's a terrible guest. Guy is only good at talking to himself or talking to people he looks up to/respects (like Rogan or Seinfield).

Then again knowing you'll have millions listening to you I don't blame them trying to keep their own train of thought on track rather than trying to keep up with Theo Vons crazy connections.

@shbp21 I don’t blame guests when they don’t catch his quick, subtle humor, cuz some of it even gets by me sometimes, but blatant hilarity like that deserves a reaction in my opinion, unless the person is afraid of making an unfunny reply and falling flat. However, I give jocko tons of credit for leaving the excess bravado at the door and joking around with Theo a lot more than people probably expected, and by his Theo references he’s clearly also a fan of his comedy. Ironically, Bill burr, who’s an actual comedian, can learn a thing or two from this retired navy seal commander about how to let loose, drop your ego and have a good time.
Surprising but Jocko's personality is the perfect complement to Theo's goofy humor.

Yup cause he worked at it for years. Studying and learning how different people operate and being smart enough to subordinate his ego. He isn’t committed to being some tough guy who pretends like he doesn’t have a sense of humor. You have to have very high emotional intelligence to be a leader of men, especially an officer in the seal teams
really breaks through that navy seal archetype and shows a balance of emotional intelligence and empathy with a healthy dose of reason, thoughtfulness, and discipline. seems like a really good guy to listen to.
Especially with all that he’s been through.

Maybe your friends are part of the reason your down currently. If you need help never be afraid to ask. There are strangers who are willing to help. I haven’t seen many Theo von episodes, but that call between them and the 22 year old with the baby was probably my favorite Theo von moment ever. Such a wholesome and positive conversation between them.

I love how after the first one Jocko is so much more himself, and relaxed, and so is Theo. Like when they first did a podcast together you can kind of tell they didn't understand each other very well yet, and now it's like they've been buddies for years lol you can tell they probably studied each other's material a little more, and probably talked more after. It's much more natural now, I feel.
The absolute most underrated part of this episode is Theo asking Jocko:
