not really sure about a red dot on a 42. the 42 shoot’s great for the size. i saw a guy in the range the other day with a p365 .380 w/ a red dot and he was shooting surgically accurate. so it should be good on a 42 also!
It’s really nice and comfortable to hold as well conceal. I personally own a 43x and bought the 42 and they both are very awesome carry concealed pistols
The Glock 42 has the comfortability to shoot one-handed with dominant and even with non-dominant hand so the only way you could really miss your shots if you were 100% blind so a red dot to me seems like nothing but just a commodity add-on
Yep, I got this done to mine by Vulcan Machine Werx a few years ago. Total game changer for the 42. I can literally shoot hole on hole groups. Glad to see more companies offering the option.
While looking at this video, when you showed the co-witness I thought the front sight looked to high for the rear sight. This may just have been the look because of the camera angle, but it made me wonder if a standard front sight might work. I don’t know if doing that would cause the gun to shoot low or not. I have a Glock 42 and so does my wife, I am with you on the better ammo for the .380. My carry is the 43X.
You are correct, that it was due to the camera angle. You would need to use the same height front sight as the rear sight. If the height of the front sight was lower, like a factory front sight would be, the round would impact high in relation to where you were aiming.
@@jfisch01 was a good experience! Shipping back to me was right on time. Craftsmanship of the cut and mount is really good. I haven’t had any issues at all
I love the support for G42! It’s often neglected when compared to aftermarket 9mm Glock parts. Can you guys please make or sell a threaded barrel for G42
I'm getting ready to swap my 43 with a 42. I'm a really big guy and have been pocket carrying the 43 with a tl6, in a desantis nemesis, but it's like a brick in the pocket and my night sight rubbed a hole in my pants and the tritium is now poking out of my pants.
I think it's that time, for Glock 42 to have a new version, since .380 ammunition is getting more knocking power now a days. In my opinion it's time to upgrade Glock 42 to a full size gun like the Glock 43x, only better if we could put in there 12 rounds, instead 10. And we can call it Glock 4212, or Glock 42dozen. It's kind of similar to the 1911, only because the handgun was created in 1911. Glock 4212 has the potential to be the most powerful and lightest concealed carry ever produced, when it comes to concealed carry. Just my two cents on this one.😊
@@showcasecharlie11 If you could actually look at the comparison of Lenny between the 43x, over the 28. You would be able to see the night, and day difference between the two.
@@stevenance395 i know all of those manufacturers make a carry holster for the G 42 ,but when you add the red dot it could call for a redesign of said holster.
Which Red Dot of the 5 you mention is the smallest and the one that works best for my Glock 42? Do we have 5 models of sights with the item number 2949 working?
Quick question regarding G42, the slide width is 0.83 inches. Are there any red dots on the market that fits the width perfectly? I am only seeing 0.90 and above. Thanks

No. The term "picked up" was not accurate. I should have said "ordered from GT Distributors". Ordered one night and my FFL received the 42 by noon the third day.@@milod3107
1st of all, LEGALLY, you shouldn't be shooting at anything u need OPTICS for....to save ur life. Secondly, if you are shooting that far away even for funnn, they have Special gunns for that called, Rifles 😂. I can definitely understand Optics on a Rifle, but on a hand gun....u just look Special Ed.
What are your thoughts on the Glock 42?

Great gun. Very accurate and soft shooter.
I here you mentioning your “10 day program”
What exactly is it?
Thank you

Red dot optics are a game-changer for concealed carry and self-defense. Keep up the great work!

saw one yesterday and had this thought.. and now here is the video
need more picture's on the website to see how the different optics look on the 42/43 slide. Would have to get this done by the end of the year.

Just came in store today and ordered my slide/cut combo. Excellent customer service and knowledgable employees.
How did it turn out? I just shipped mine to GS today.

We already have that. It's the Glock 28. Same size as the 43x or 19. Can add a 12 round extender magazine.

Great review, I'll be sending you my wife's 42 soon...
Thats s cool idea, just wondering how hard it'll be to get s carry holster for it?
We custom mold kydex holsters for this combo.
Lenny I think a holster for the combat cut deserves a video 🙂@@glockstore
You have Alien Gear, Cytac, De Santis Slim Tuck and Bravo Concealment IWB and OWB.

Can you do a video on the G43??
love those guns
Badass Larry. I will be sending you mine for that treatment.
I missed the $50 off slide milling, can you score me a code.

Can you make full steel lowers for Glock! I would get a full steel lower fir Glocks any day as long as they are reliable as current glocks.
Can you mill a G42 slide for the Shield RMSc footprint to mount without any plate? Thanks...
This is great, my wife loved to shoot the Glock 42, but wanted a dot on it. Is there any chance of using also compensator on this?
Lenny can you get the SLR 5 round Glock mag extension? I hear nothing but good things about it.
Can you do the 10-day program with a G48
Yes
Gorgeous.
That is awesome Lenny
This is sick. Can you also make a Compensator for the 42? Like the way PPM does theirs? They don't make one for the 42 yet.
How long until pocket carry red dots are commonplace!
Does the base for the Glock 43 red dot work? What option do you have as a base to install the red dot on my glock 42.
Did I miss? How many rounds with the extension? Thx for this info! Be Well!
He said it was a +2 extension so Im guessing 8 rounds total
Would model 407K works well?
Yes
Iron sights in the rear red dot in front. What’s up
Thanks for leaving San Diego. Lol

Is there a retention holster that will fit the red dot?
Do you have this one in rose gold?

hey Lenny can i send my taurus g2c slide to put an optic?
We are only milling Glocks and Sigs at this time.
U dont need an optic. U never will
Does the base for the Glock 43 red dot work? What base option do you have to install the red dot on my glock 42. Does item number 2949 work?
2949 would no work for the glock 42 due to it's slide being thinner.
Who has a promo code, discount code or free shipping code?
Use code "Lenny10"
You the best
Anybody know if a Glock cover plate will fit on a 19 after the cut?👀
Do u ship outside America?
Yes!
Optics on micro or sub compact pistols are totally useless.
Why? They work just the same as on full size or compact pistols
