@@noobmasteryoyo5136At key moments in the game, the in-game chat box is expanded to make the dialogue much easier to read. It’s not all the time so is missable. Previous videos it was small the whole time and pretty tough t read, especially certain colors of text.

i definitely agree! used to watch his twitch streams and he was awfully aggressive and emotional which made it quite difficult to watch. i appreciate the more informative and professional content that he's putting out now
17:38 - I would pop once, potentially twice here. Reduces the risk of having all your resources monoed which almost gave blue the game. Worst case scenario you get two knight which at least allows you to slow down your opponents and retain robber control.
Feel like 9,11 is better settle than 3,11 here

This "Catan Road to Rank 1" helping you a lot, I think you still don't realize but the next tournaments are gonna be A LOT easier for you, even if it's "casual" it still learn you fast decision making, and obvious game sense, which with all the respect and admiration I have for you was your main weakness,
No more overthinking, and what's beautiful is that thought the series we see you evolving and not missing turns because of thinking, that's awesome!
I would suggest at the end of the series to go on the 1v1 ladder, as it's SUPER fast it's just production & decision-making fast!

I just recently got into catan and i can't stop watching these videos. The game is so much more complex then getting lucky on rolls! Things amateurs don't realize

If i was in this guys position at the end, a bunch of sevens would have been rolled and my hand would be cleaned out. I always have to pop at 9 points and hope for a v card, i'm never able to hold onto resources when im in the lead
You continue to improve video quality, keep it up! UA-cam just started recommending you again, and I’m here to stay now. Road to Rank 1 is a great series, and part of me hopes you never get there so that we keep getting content this good.

Did you consider extending to 9 11 for consistent wheat? Kinda slow but the payoff is huge.
Don't understand why you wouldn't pop twice at the end or at least once to pull for the win or to ensure you at least retain robber control? Holding just increases the chance of sevening out?
Pause 17:05... Tough call. Black has a 2/5 chance at an ore for the city and win, with the other 3 cards being useless sheep. Blue has a 2/6 chance at the ore, with also 2 sheep,1 brick, and 1 card I'm unsure of. If you play the knight and do not get the 33 or 40% win (0r 50%, if that unknown card from Blue happens to be an ore or wheat) you're left without a knight for protection with unplayed Dev cards out there. Truly a tough call, like you said. I don't feel like I'd buy a Dev card, being so close to the win and knowing that Blue already has 2 VPs most likely. I think it's between holding at 6 cards, or playing the knight to try and win off Black or Blue. Since I don't think either Blue or Black can win all that soon, I may hold off, and see if you can get a for sure win next turn, either through natural rolls, or having a more guaranteed steal with your knight. But if you go for the throat and the win this turn, either with a a knight play or Dev card (or both, if you buy a Dev card after failing to win with the steal), I wouldn't blame you. Under the time pressure of the clock, I may end up doing the same thing. Eager to see what you end up doing now, and hope it works out. You've been posting losses as well lately, so honestly unsure...
I'm 100% sure that you unknown card was a wheat which makes robbing blue instead of black a better play.

I didn't get holding at 9 points with the opportunity to pop 2 dev cards. A VP wins it or anything else would help road settle next turn.

Am I the only person that gets 4th position way more frequently than any other spot on Colonist??? I recently starting tracking where I pick bc I noticed myself picking 4th so much and right now I’m at 8 out of my last 16 games picking 4th. Is this some setting I have turned on or something it seems so weird and it’s very annoying since picking 4th is normally kinda terrible
