I made this tonight, to celebrate my homegrown carrots being ready to harvest. It was delicious! I've never had anything like it. We have a tiny bit of leftovers, which I'm already looking forward to.
So… middle of winter here in Canada-no organic carrot tops to be found. What green might you suggest to sub for the carrot tops? I’m thinking they add so much unique/specific flavour that spinach or kale just won’t be the same ?😢
Yum. I usually throw the stems of carrots. In India they don't give the leaf. Will try to get though. Walnuts is a surprise for me. You inspire me. Thank you. Jai hind
Hi Chetna. Another nice dish. I remember my mum use to Make this dish . Think it most probably the way your mum makes it. I know this doesn’t have anything to do with this video but your last video about doing a video about a roast. Would be lovely to see you doing a roast dinner video.
Wonderful recipe. Traditional with a twist. However, it's said better wash the leaves and carrots before cutting them so that the nutrients are not washed away.

Isn't half a tsp salt too less for that quantity?
I have steamed my veg for over thirty years and have never added salt, I only add salt to potatoes which have no taste without.
if you find it less then add more to your taste, easy
