Hey bro, I have an old school jl audio slash series amplifier . It says it’s cast aluminum and the finish looks brushed. However after 21 years, it’s got some damage cosmetically. Would you assume this process working to get restore the finish? Your pretty much my saving grace thanks for the video as well.

Another place to order metal from is www.metalsdepot.com/ I'm working on some synthesizer case end panels right now that I bought from them. They cut to size and have no minimum order but the metal can be fairly rough though and needs a fair amount of filing/sanding/etc. I was going to try to polish them but now I think I'll do brushed instead! :-)

If I want the extra protection, should I do wax and clear coat? Or just clear coat?

Aluminum was just from Amazon and I cut it to fit. Punches were from Harbor Freight.
