Mercedes W204 Calliper Logo Plate Emblem Removal - Warning before Painting.

Just a Warning when in preparation to paint your Mercedes W204 wheel brake callipers and especially the Mercedes wheel calliper plate emblem logo removal.

Great advice which helped me to decide a different approach to this job, I masked mine off with ducktape, sprayed and then polished the plaque which looks great.
If I hadn't seen your video I would have likely tried to take it apart as you did...

Is the logo plate important for the calliper?

Its not important but it normally has a Mercedes logo on it which can cosmetically look good.

Did you manage to remove the broken peg that was left in the caliper, if so how ! As I have the same problem, hope you can help, regards.

Hi Stuart, in the end I simply stuck the cover back on with a strong heat resistant glue, its still solid and has been fine ever since...mrix
