    Fantastic, this has good tempo and depth to it! Very clear, nobody gets bored, and already full of little nuances that makes it way better than basic. In 10 minutes! That was my first intro to graphics animation with no experience whatsoever in After Effects and I am already up and going on more than basics thanks to you in 10 minutes! Awesome.

    Here's a quick tip for getting your anchor point in the middle of any object (Mac keys): Command-Option Home. This immediately puts the anchor point in the middle. Boom.

      it was made by programmers and programmers really like their numbers and formulas and start/end/begin/ command lines..after using adobe after effects, photoshop becomes so easy it feels retarded.

    Awesome! Thanks for your help! AE isn't as intimidating like it was an hour ago. I never realized how much you can manipulate and it's neat that each setting has it's own lane for key frames. It all makes sense now.

    Hey, thanks a lot for this. I am so new to after effects I haven't even installed it yet, but I want to get a feel for it before I start my 30-day trial.
    Even this simple animation demo has given me ideas for taking my channel to the next level. So far I have just been shooting video (guitar instruction), but I'm really feeling the need to incorporate graphics for certain subjects I want to cover. Thanks very much for this start on my way, appreciate the info you've shared and seeing a bit how the program works.

    Thanks! I'm totally new to this and I'm learning a lot. I'm using an older version: Adobe After Effects 7.0. If anyone knows where I can turn to learn how to Export the finished product so I can share it on forums I'd appreciate it. I hope there's a way to keep file size down. Perhaps that involves keeping document sizes down and other techniques.

      I think I can help you, you need to download the modern version of AE, that works pretty simple since it has been updated. you need to add your project to the render queue before exporting it. This can be obtained in the composition tab on the header bar, then that is when you can render it. Hope you can manage, check me out for more info. Thanks.
