This was a huge help man. I bought the glorious pandas and also the holy pandas, because after watching a hundred of sound tests of switches the holy pandas stand out the most with their super high pitched and sweet smooth clack, I haven't seen other switches coming close to that distinctive sound (in a metal keyboard with a brass plate). It wasn't a smart purchase. the glorious panda are obvious choice in terms of value and reliability.
I couldn't deal with the harsh bottom out at the stem pole, so I clipped them and wow so much better. Also, you will get a relatively silent switch. I think I may swap the springs and will make it even better.
I am planning my first build and was searching for the perfect switch. I came across the pandas and searched for difference. If the difference would have been that one is linear and the other tactile, i would choose the tactile one. But now i know they are both tactile, and because of your deep explaination i now know that glorious pandas are the perfect swith for me :) Do you think it would be a good to also film them?
@@Romsicle you should make a frankenswitch tutorial, you could be the science in video form of doing this and seeing if you can still get the thock of the glorious with the tight invyr stems like I said originally. First tutorial amd I bet a bunch of views. Lol just send a few switches my way for the idea good frankenswitch with that nice thock from glorious housing. Best of both world. Now I'm gonna need to get on prevail or ribger and get the stems.
I have the glorious pandas and they feel amazing after lubing them. I even lubed the leaf a bit on one and it still has a great tactile bump. Just not as noticable.
I wonder,if the glorious will eventually become like a holy panda, does that mean it will be good idea either to get holy panda and use as stock, or lube glorious panda. That way you can keep the tactility.
Love my pre-lubed Glorious pandas, favorite switch, at least for now. As it's been a bit since the review I have to wonder if Glorious has made a few improvement I know I'm not having any issues with scratch issues and bottom out to me, subjective of course, sounds great!
Glorious are very nice. I have a full size with them and also a tkl with Drop Holy Panda X. They're similar but I prefer the Glorious. However, switches are the only thing I'd buy from Glorious. Their keyboards are low quality and prone to problems.
Having used both I can honestly say that they are pretty much the same. The main differences I see that puts Glorious Pandas above Holy Panda: - Glorious Pandas are significantly cheaper - Glorious Pandas are almost always in stock (no group buy needed) - Glorious Pandas seem to have better quality control (I have had some dead Holy Pandas. And some of the stems are short-shot)
thank you very much for your video. i have been thinking long and hard if i want to buy the holy pandas or the glorious pandas. i have been using the glorious pandas for several months now and would like to buy spare switches for my other keyboard and to replace the chattery switches (no, i don't lube and i don't open switches so i don't clean them as well - i just replace them when they chatter LOL - so pretty much disposable to me). the holy pandas are way too expensive for me as I come from the philippines so with the shipping alone and taxes I can almost buy another 36-pcs lubed glorious pandas. as i really like the sound and feel of my lubed glorious pandas your video helped me decide to go for the cheaper pandas which I can buy lubed as another advantage. thanks!
Not sure if you saw my review on those switches, but they're like a lighter zealios switch because they don't have pretravel with a relatively sharper bump.
What kind of lube did you use for these panda switches? I found three common lubes namely kryto 205, tribosys 203, and tribosys 204. I hope to buy just one kind and plan to get the glorious pandas for more tactility. Please help. Thank you.
I always use Krytox 205g0. Some prefer a more viscous lube like Tribosys 3204. Up to you though. Lube will make it smoother and will lose a bit of tactility, so make sure to apply just enough.
@@Romsicle Do you have experience with the glorious G lube? That one seems a bit cheaper at 9.99. I wonder if that's any good. Thanks again for your help.
You can either build your own keyboard with that money or just get a hot-swappable Keychron keyboard and buy some good keycaps. You can get 10% off with my referral code keychronwireless.refr.cc/romsicle
Are they comparable to any Cherry MX switches? As in which color. I'm used to blue switches and I love the sound and feedback they give me. Would the Glorious Panda be a good option for me?
Someone will laugh at me, but if you must compare, then you would need Cherry Clear (definitely not the infamous browns). But look for yourself at the charts. What I can say is that either you love the click, or you just want the bottom-out thock and nice tactility. If you chose the latter, you can go for Pandas, definitely.

I don't think it's necessary to film them unless you can see the housing wobble.

If you mean Invyr stem as in the Halo True stem, then yes.
The Invyr stems I know of are only available as linear.

Thanks for the comparison just what i needed!! Quick question, what keyboard case is that you’re using?
I think it is the five degree acrylic case from KBD fans. I could be wrong tho

Great video man! 👍 Got the GP and thinking of picking up some HP as well but after seeing this video, I’ll keep my money in my pocket. Cheers!
Glorious Pandas sound deeper. Which to me is more pleasing to my ears.
you can hear the THOOC in the gp
Great video! You are seriously underrated and definitely need more recognition.

how would you compare these to zealios v2? I heard they're sharper.
Check the channel. It's the newest video.
can use at Corsair K65 RGB Mini 60% Mechanical Gaming Keyboard?
For a gamer i need them to become a kind of linears but still having that thock
I assume you are comparing the HP v2 (2nd batch from drop)?
Yes!
Glorious pandas sound like bamboo for some reason. I like them better than the holy pandas in my opinion, and they're cheaper so its a steal for me.
Glorious pandas feel and sound like the ibm model m bucking spring keyboard.
what is this board? gk68xs or gmmk?
pretty sure it’s custom but idk
So can I buy glorious pandas and change the stem to a halo true (which i already have) and get holy pandas
The housing is slightly different on the GP, so no.
Lubed Glorious pandas don't sound much different tbh. I guess I'd get them because I'm lazy and probably won't bother to lube them lol
Can you please tell me from where you got the keycaps
